This property is over rated. The guy at reception in the evening was a cocky rude mellinialthat looked like he'd been camping for a week. I came in late and they put me in a 2nd floor unit so I'm sure I bothered the guests below.
Housekeeping was lax, half the lights in bathroom were not working but had the previous day. No air conditioning just a ceiling fan. No 24 hour reception desk.
Location. property condition; all good
somewhat under-staffed during memorial weekend
The location and the service.
Beautiful setting, large and comfortable room with whirlpool bath tub, great restaurant and spa facilities. Friendly staff.
Rustic and charming with an incredible spa and indoor pool that was available for all guests and a great happy hour at the bar. The staff at the restaurant and bar, led by Art, was top notch and the location near June mountain was perfect.
LOCATION...Location..Location.. we had an upper room with balcony overlooking pond.
I felt bad for those below us as the floor squeaked A LOT as we walked on it. They need to fix this somehow.
Nice newer rooms. Clean. Free internet.
Pricey and no free breakfast provided.
Atmosphere and location were great. Room itself was lovely.
First time there and did realize this was a second floor walkup. With a pet reservation it was difficult to use stairs at least three time. Room was very hot. A suggestion:Insulate all second floor ceilings to at least R30, w/ adequate attic ventilation.
Setting, room and dining room. Adjustment made to rate for the problems with the room appliances. Management was very apologetic-----as they should have been.
Room was not ready: Furnance and refrigerator had been shut down. Room may have been closed and not rented for some time. . The wine list in the dining room was very expensive----starting at $11 per glass and $40 for a bottle of $10 supermarket wine.
Beautiful location, great rooms with jacuzzi tub, balcony overlooking pond - very picturesque. Lush spa, indoor pool/jacuzzi. A bit more expensive than other lodging in June Lake, but actually quite a bargain for this level of accommodation.
Bottom floor hotel room can hear every footstep of the room above.
Located in June Lake, Double Eagle Resort & Spa is in the mountains, a 4-minute drive from June Mountain and 7 minutes from Gull Lake Marina. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
