Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff, helpful concierge, great location.
Complementary coffee early in morning would have been great.
Continental breakfast was quite okay but could do with changes day-to-day. Consistent in room decor and stylien
Confusing lobby area. This could be fixed by relocating reception to the left side of the entry area rather than way up the end of the hall. It is too dimly lit too in my opinion. Our Junior Suite (1501) was quite dark with small windows. The complimentary tablet is a gimmick and is not likely to be useful to anyone with a smartphone or their own tablet/laptop. No hand towel rack—where do you put ...Read more
Large bath sheets When I called guest services they answered using my name Staff very friendly and so helpful
Shower could do with more pressure
The location is spot on, the rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The check-in/out is easy and the personnel is corteous; we had t use their concierge services twice and they were friendly and prompt.
Given the hotel class and its prices few things could be better, like a Nespresso machine in the room (very common these days even in 4 stars environments) - a greater selection of TV channels would also ber good. Therer's a Samsung tablet in the room, but you can't really do much with it. On arrival with luggage etc. we had to open the doors ourselves - minial as it may sound, when you're loaded ...Read more
The upper east side hotel is steps away from coffee shops and boutiques, restaurants are a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes in a cab. The standard is high, rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and have exceptional manners compared to other hotels that I've stayed in. The best thing about this hotel was the European influence.
I didn't like that a simple standard coffee cost $6, which really should've been free in the morning given the price (albeit worth it) of the hotel stay. Two cocktails should not have cost $46, especially when prosecco was used instead of champagne.
The property is vintage upper East Side in design and service. The property appeared to be maintained extremely well and the staff was always attentive. The rooms were immaculate and very well maintained. The location is walking distance from both upper East side boutiques and restaurants as well as from midtown shopping, museums and people watching. Subway access is also very convenient. I would ...

Everyone was extremely helpful and the rooms were large and clean. The hotel is located on a side street, close to shopping but quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The prices in the hotel restaurant were extremely high. A cup of coffee was $10 and yogurt with granola and berries was $27. It was very good but this wasn't room service but actually in the restaurant.
2 queen beds made this hotel perfect for our family of four. Located right on Times Square, the hotel held our bags after checkout while we went across the street to see a Broadway show.
Once you get past the unprepossessing lobby, the hotel is really excellent. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was large, comfortable and well-appointed. It was bitterly cold so we ate in the hotel, choosing the bar's little plate menu over the Vlentine's Day special menu; each choice was delicious. Large, contemporary bar and restaurant (maybe showing a little wear on the cushions) and exc...
As noted, the lobby is decidedly underwhelming although the staff was friendly and helpful. Otherwise, no complaints!Read more
