I liked the location , parking, lovely dining room, Grand facade.
Our room was in converted sheds at read of the small hotel. There are outside stairs in very poor condition leading to the rooms at the rear. Our room was on two floors. A hall and bathroom (without wc), downstairs. Up a very narrow stairs leading o a small bedroom. there is a toilet enclosed in the corner of the room. This does not contain a sink. The ceiling of the wc slopes, and made it impossible to use while standing. There is ample space to have the toilet on the lower floor with the sink. Anyone carring luggage will find the two sets of stairs difficult.

Dinner in the old courtyard was excellent. The breakfast served at the table in the charming dining room was also very pleasant.

The location is marvellous for exploring Loches - especially the citadel. It is very close to the centre, yet, because the rooms are mostly arranged round a courtyard, it's very quiet. The hotel has character and charm because of its age. The owner/manager was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is used to English guests.
The accommodation is awkward because of the building's age. Our room was split-level : bathroom and clothes-hanging (no wardrobe/closet) downstairs, bedroom and toilet (no basin) upstairs. The bedroom ceiling was very low, beamed and sloping, so there was danger of cracking your head every time you got into/out of bed. The service at dinner - served in a cool, quiet courtyard - was terribly slow. They forgot our dessert entirely, and, despite requests for it, it arrived nearly an hour after our main course. But they did apologise, and everyone else seemed to be served in a timely manner.

The warmth of the staff, a nice welcome, they remembered us from 2 years ago. Right in town with a car park, close to all the medieval buildings.
Room a little rustic but still comfortable - quaint is a good descrition.

We liked the City of Loches
The Annexe rooms were a great disappointment compared with other Logis hotels we used this vacation
