Snowdon Chalet

Cute motel in the Vermont woods! Stayed for one night in the budget room, small and older but perfect for the price, can't beat it! Would definitely come back to stay again if skiing in the area. The staff is very very friendly and accommodating!!

Unique & Affordable, Clean & Retro -- a hotel with

Just great people who run this place, and, being relatively new owners (this is their first summer), they're around all the time and very generous, helping with my travel plans, extending breakfast a few minutes, offering coffee to take away, etc. Most importantly, though, this place just has a clean, great, retro vibe. None of the fancy, new off-gassing generic decor. Real wood dressers and desks, vintage photo prints, etc. But also with some newer rugs and colorful walls in common spaces. This place hasn't been "let go" -- quite the opposite. New owners seem to be restoring and putting lots of love in it, even new TVs. A great yard and view -- you can even BBQ there, or just lounge in the comfortable chairs on the covered loft. It's a wonderful place, and very affordable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What's not to like? You know how they say, "When in Rome..."? Well, when in Vermont, stay at a place like this, rather than finding some big corporate chain hotel full of generic furniture, views of overlit parking lots, and employees who turnover every 2 months.
