It's location. It was where it said it would be.
It all began with a booking of 90 pounds, one night in a cool looking double room with a view of either the canal or the city. We arrived and were greeted with a very grumpy staff member who told us they had recently been put on 12 hour shifts. They were, understandably, furious. Then, the room. It wasn't a room really, sweatbox would be more fitting. It was tiny, so tiny that I checked the website... Fisheye lens. I hadn't noticed but bugger me it was small. I've saved the best for last. The view. It wasn't of the canal. It wasn't of the city. It was a brick wall. Yup. About 50 cm away was the next building. I will not be argued into admitting that this is a city view. Other than that the shower gel was empty and the bathroom was so small that you hit your head on the taps if you fancied washing your face.
The location as it was only a short walk from Picadilly Train Station. The room was very clean and modern, and all new fittings.
Once you turned off the main room lights (which were excellent), all the ancillary lights such as the bed lamps and bathroom lights went off as well.
Friendly staff, great location and very clean. Bed was very comfy
Nothing all good small room but was expected
Check in was quick staff friendly and it was clean
Noisy room on ground floor decor needs attention and room very small no air-con but there was a fan supplied.
- TOP location near the city centre - the staff was really friendly and welcoming - the place was clean, the bathroom was really nice
- we have booked the tripple room for 3 adults. There was a small twinbed and a sofa-bed. Definitely not made for an adult. It was just a firm sofa laid down with an extra duvet to make it more compfy. I cannot imagine for example a 2m high adult man sleeping on that thing for longer than one night. - the street is really loud, I've been to many loud hostels/hotels before, but this one tops them all, it seemed like all the drunk people from the bars nearby are in your room. To summarize - we did not sleep much.
