Pros: The location of the house was off an unpaved road which added to the adventure. The house was very comfortable. The owner encourages his guests to make themselves at home. My room, the Forest Retreat, was clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly and very accommodating.

Pros: Ruth and Montie were wonderful hosts and their home is truly warm and lovely. Breakfast was different every morning, and Ruth always baked us snacks to-go for our hikes. The house is also a great place to stargaze at night. We had a really wonderful stay!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Ruth, Montie, and Steve are really lovely and caring. We got a wonderful breakfast (home cooked omelet or german pancakes and fresh fruits) each morning and a little snack (home cooked zucchini bread or muffins) for the road. We also got some really helpful advise for the best sights and trails in Yosemite (they have years of experience with many of the trails). These three guys are really cheerful and welcoming and therefore the best choice if you are looking for a reasonable price and homelike atmosphere. PS: don´t take the "old highway" to drive to the B&B, it´s a very long street full of potholes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most welcoming of hosts who could not have done any more for us. Great information provided around the places to go and the things to do. The breakfast was fabulous all cooked fresh and home baking provided. Good location with a variety of wild animals on view from the breakfast window.

Cons: Zero
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Far away from the civilization...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Ruth and Monty are very kind and friendly people. They really enjoy what they are doing and are interested in the guest's well-being. Ruth even fed our 1-year-old daughter so we could have breakfast in peace. The food is delicious! The place is a little bit far from the city, but in a very beautiful place, with wild turkeys, all kinds of birds and even dears around the house. It was very peacefull. There was a microwave and a frigobar in the room, wich was very useful for us.
Cons: Our room was a little bit smal for the 3 of us and the bathroom was outside the room. I didn't know about that previously, but it wasn't a big deal, because it was just beside the room. It would be very nice to have darker courtains so you don't wake up so early if you don't wat to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ruth Ann and Monti did all they could to help us enjoying our stay. They gave us all the information we needed for our tours including even at what time to leave to still get parking space in the park. We could lean books with pathes through the park, we could lean walking sticks, there was a great breakfast, best ever had on any tour, every day different, with warm dishes in the morning at 7 am! We all got cakes to take with us for the day. It was a pleasure to join the other guests in the morning at a long table and to listen to their days before or their plans. If you stay at this place, give Ruth Ann and Monti a big hug from me! Liz
Cons: Nothing to complain, everything was just great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Home away from home! Extra clean and comfortable bed room, shower room, fridge, microwave and delicious hot breakfast cooked fresh daily serve with TLC from the host family. It’s my lifetime memoir!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed one night at this lovely little inn. We loved it - the room was comfortable and clean. It was right in the middle of this little town and we enjoyed walking around and exploring Mariposa. This may seem like a strange thing to mention, but the towels were extremely soft, which is rare in my experience with hotels/inns. When you're washing your face, it makes a difference to not feel a scratchy towel on your skin...little things go a long way. The women who run the inn were fantastic - super friendly and gave us great advice about visiting Yosemite. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The shower was very snug, which wasn't a problem for me, but I could see that it might be a problem if I were older and/or required more room to maneuver. It didn't detract for my overall experience though.

Pros: Very clean. Easy late check-in. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff! Breakfast available (and delicious!), although we had to grab and go. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Nice outside deck with comfortable chairs. Nice wooded backyard in a rural area. Very safe and not too far from town to give you everything you need. Nice shower and a large bathroom. Comfy beds. Nice a/c. Breakfast was very basic but adequate. The host was very nice and very knowledgeable about bears when we asked about a bear we saw a little too close in Yosemite. 8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is close to the all cozy restaurants and souvenir stores. You can take a little walk and enjoy a little district there.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was old and run down. Awful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The front desk people were very good they were at 10 then my calls when I need them so I’m happy
Cons: The things that I don’t like is that my room has an Astro door inside and it was some luck and I didn’t feel secure because when I called the front desk they told me that they don’t have the key to lock the door that is in between my room in another room so I think they should lock the doors before they rent the room thank you
5.8 Okay
Pros: location is everything here. Mariposa is a great town.
Cons: Quality of accomodation vs price paid wasnt great. Service was a bit sloppy. Paper cups...no need!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, good wifi
Cons: Very small pool.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect walking distance to all the restaurants, grocery stores & gift shops. The hotel was very clean & spacious, nice large window looking out, comfortable beds, microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, iron & board, nice tv, hot shower water! This hotel was booked every night we were there and it was so quiet which made it extra nice. Beautiful greenery & flower beds outside every room. They do have a pool but we were too busy traveling to Yosemite to enjoy it. This location took us about 50 minutes to get to Yosemite and I highly recommend this location for any family.
Cons: We drive a suburban and this made it hard to maneuver in the tight parking lot. The floor of the shower was extremely slippery, could be dangerous for anyone not knowing this. (#116)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large and clean. The bed was overly soft for my liking. The water pressur in the shower was very low. Overall a good value.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: New bathroom but small shower and sink area, comfortable bed and pillows (I wish they were bigger), Direct TV is excellent, Wifi great, heater/ac works great, coffee is excellent. Price is affordable and I will defiantly visit again.
Cons: The entrance doors are hard to shut and next door guests kept slamming the door again and again going in and out to smoke, very annoying.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff David and his son made us feel very much at home. Even gave us a private, corner room that we truly enjoyed. Was a restful and comfy stay. Nice and peaceful and we will definitely stay here again when we are back in Mariposa.
Cons: We loved it overall. If anything, would benefit from updating the TVs in the room to a bigger size to enjoy the cable channels from DirecTV. The AC was very effective, but also quite loud. Also, the sink needs a soap dish for the hand soap cause we had to just leave it on the sink top without any dish.
7.0 Good
Pros: Big spacious room. Good bed. Friendly staff and owner
Cons: The walls are pretty thin so we could hear the neighbors slamming doors and their tv. Other than that great

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The motel is close to Yosemite national park. It was clean in the room and breakfast was great
Cons: Facilities are old and they need a major renovation. TV is hard to watch as it is so much grained. The aircon are very loud. Noise from other rooms, especially when someone uses sink or washes something is very loud. And the price was quite high for the given facilities

Cons: Could do with more loungers and parasols round the pool.
7.5 Good
Pros: Confort, location, breakfast
Cons: A « hello » from the people at the front desk would be appreciated, 10$ occupancy for 3 persons in a two queen room, what is that ????

9.5 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, one of the closest ones to but still outside of Yosemite Valley. Simple but good room.
Cons: Breakfast is very basic at best.

Pros: Mariposa is a gorgeous town. The beds are really comfortable. Fridge: hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room
Cons: Walls are paper thin. Really noisy! WiFi is painfully slow. I didn’t mind but the kids did. Tv doesn’t work. Sink in the room and not in bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful
5.7 Okay
Pros: Reasonably close to yosemite
Cons: The room reeked of fresh paint fumes. It appeared that the hotel was managed / owned by a couple. The man was accommodating enough, but the woman was incredibly rude when I asked for an extra towel.
5.8 Okay
Pros: We are able to get breakfast to go
Cons: Shower was lukewarm, internet was so slow and dropped out so often it basically didn't work. The hallway outside our room smelled like the pool ( chlorine ).

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfy rooms, quiet location
Cons: Wifi is weak and only available in the driveway.
4.5 Okay
Pros: that it had a kitchen
Cons: it was a little dirty, buggy, refrigerator was not turned on when we arrived, no A/C but what ever you call what it had did cool the place but VERY loud. No one on site to check in or out and had to call the owner with any issues.
7.0 Good
Pros: Peacefull
Cons: Field around the house grass branches
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Affordable, comfortable room with microwave and refrig. About 1 hr 15 min from Yosemite Valley. We stayed in this room two nights and then moved to a room with full kitchen the last night (our original room wasn't available the 3rd night as we decided to stay an extra night when Tioga Pass Rd was still closed due to snow so we couldn't get to Mammoth Lake). Host Lou Ann is very friendly and even offered to move our luggage to the 2nd room while we were at Yosemite during the day so we didn't have to pack everything in the car.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable cabin with kitchen, two levels (bed upstairs and one down), upstairs was a bit hot. Plenty of room and a front porch area with seating. Host Lou Ann is very friendly and accommodating. About 1-15 mins from Yosemite Valley; 2 hours to Glacier Point.
Cons: TV remote didn't work properly but not a big deal since we were not there to watch TV.
5.8 Okay
Pros: LouAnn was very friendly and helpful. The room had a fireplace, kitchen, and a loft. Beds were comfortable. About 15 minutes to Mariposa and they have a fabulous grocery store with an excellent deli.
Cons: The bugs! Yes, we’re out off the beaten path, but the first night we were there a huge spider (the size of my palm) was on the inside of the shower curtain. My daughter ran out of the shower and was terrified in the place the rest of the time. I feel that saying the place is air conditioned is a bit misleading as there’s a ventilation type thing in the ceiling through which it felt like anything could enter the cabin. We didn’t want to really open the windows for fear of wildlife, so that made the temperature less than comfortable. Overall, I realize the unfortunate spider situation was a fluke, but I dreaded coming back to this place after the first night, and wished I hadn’t booked it for 2 nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lou was a fantastic hostess xxx
5.8 Okay
Pros: location is good for yosemite valley and mariposa grove
Cons: No 'touch' at all from hosts. Also kitchen very inadequately stocked. It would only take a tiny bit of effort to provide some decent glasses and mugs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cabin is very spacious. The linens are washed in a residential washer and dryer so they were soft and smelled fresh. No commercial feel. The property owner met us upon arrival and made sure that we knew how to work the air and cable. She was very nice. If you want a rustic cabin to add to your yosemite visit, this is the place to stay. But it's not too rustic. Full kitchen with stove and acessories and great shower.
Cons: It's not super close to town. We had all our food with us, so that worked out well.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and the recommendations and amability of the staff
Cons: WiFi does not work inside the room. Some kitchen tools are missing.

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice room. Nice place to stay.
Cons: Floor was dirty.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff have been very friendly. And the lodge is located in a very nice town dates back to gold rush times. Everything looks surreal !
Cons: The room is quiet old and each room is connected without lock! Mine is the one near the bathroom, which makes it hot and humid. No air circulation facilities inside my room, was a bit rough night. And in weekend, it’s pretty expensive
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Quiet. The swimming pool is a plus. The restaurant nearby was great
Cons: The price. The bathroom was tiny.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is great! Mariposa is wonderful!
Cons: The airconditioning in every single room (the staff told us) is the same. It was unbelievable loud. I am a very good sleeper, but with this noice I didnt sleep. It was too warm without airco.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Affordable and semi close to yosemite. Hot shower, really comfortable bed, appreciated the microwave and refrigerator and ice machine and tv reception.
Cons: Still pretty long drive on curvy road after hiking all day in yosemite and tired. Really long drive if heading to hikes in tuolomne meadows or hetch hetchy areas-- better location for Yosemite valley travel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: I found the motel to be very expensive, but everything inMaripisaseemed expensive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff is super friendly and accommodating; they went out of their way to make our experience comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This may have been the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Yosemite. Also, there was someone in the room next to us for at least one night, and we heard zero noise through the wall. It was great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location for peps going to explore Yosemite which is a 2hour drive but all worth it. It’s value for money for family but not for a couple like us[expensive]. We enjoyed the coffee station.
Cons: Room decor could be improved but it’s good enough for our liking.
6.3 Good
Pros: The swimming pool, clean, quiet rooms and proximity to YARTS to go to Yosemite. Coffee machine, fridge and microwave in room.
Cons: I asked ahead of time for early check-in or if we could store our luggage to go and explore Yosemite but got no answer (until 2 days after arrival). On the phone, the manager repeatedly refused to help us. No staff was ever around in the morning or ever period.
7.5 Good
Cons: Mariposa is 1-2 hours from Yosimite sites ( two hours to Glaciar point).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Check-in was fast and efficient. Reserved parking by the management next to the room was very helpful. Promptly addressed missing towels in the room.
Cons: Towels were missing from the room. We had to ask for towels for all the 4 guests.

3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Room 107 is by the loud ice maker
5.0 Okay
Pros: The Person in Front Desk was nice
Cons: Very Dirty
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was centrally located for us to walk to restaurants for breakfast or dinner. It was easy for us to drive to the entrance of Yosemite national park from the hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was great hospitality was fine
Cons: My shower only had hot water & the shower heads need to be higher and plumbing eschusion are rusty Room 109
1.0 Poor
Pros: That hotel needs to be shut down and get all those bed bugs clean up.. It was horrible staying at the hotel bad experience never going back again never
Cons: Not recommended to no one
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good with short distance to drive to the national park.
Cons: Some staff is not friendly to his guests. The guest room is not renovated for a long time. The rest room is small. The heater is too noisy.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice. Location was good to Yosemite.
Cons: Place was overbooked. We were first assigned a room that was already taken. Then someone tried to come in our room like they had been assigned to it. Breakfast foods were lacking. Pool and hot tub were gross and the tile in our room was a tripping hazard- popped up in several areas and not repaired. Sheets were dirty when we arrived smelling like perfume and having been used with hair on them. When our room was cleaned the floors weren’t cleaned.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The reception was professional
Cons: Expensive rate but understandable
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and clean. Good location. Lovely staff.
Cons: I'd have liked a coffee machine in the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location on road into Mariposa, nice little pool to cool off in
Cons: Unfortunately, floors were very dirty. After arriving we took our shows off and within 10 minutes our socks were black on bottoms. Our kids couldn't play or sit on floor. Management were responsive when we asked for specific floor cleaning but they were still dirty when we got back from an outing. You could rub the floor with a white towel and it would come up dark brown. We think it was the kind of floor covering in the room - hard to clean without a solid hot soapy wash. Unfortunately, this made the whole stay uncomfortable because cleanliness in one area raises questions on others even though they were generally OK.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!
