The centrally-located, family hotel is 33 miles from Merced Municipal Airport and a quick walk from the streets of downtown Mariposa. This establishment has nine non-smoking family rooms and suites available for guests and includes free parking and hiking options in the nearby area.

Each room at the hotel is individually decorated from the Bridalveil Suite with a fireplace, living room, kitchen and dining room to the Terrace Suite with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and space for up to eight to sleep. There are a full dining and kitchen area available. The Retreat is a king suite with a coffee pot, table and chairs, microwave, and refrigerator. The Morning Star offers a double queen space with a private bathroom, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, and a hairdryer.

There are dozens of restaurants in the area for guests to dine at from the Mariposa Ice Creamery and Bookstore to Castillo’s Mexican Food, Sweetwater Grocery & Deli, Charles Street Dinner House, and Betts Gold Coin Sports Tavern. Guests with a sweet tooth can visit Donuts a Go-Go while pizza lovers can spend time at Mariposa Pizza Factory.

There are also many attractions to enjoy in Mariposa like Casto Oaks Fine Wine and Arts, the Mariposa Marketplace, Yosemite Crystals, Ridgeline Gallery and Gift, the Alley, and Costalivos Mountain Gold Olive Oil Tasting Room & Gift Shop. Pros (+) The size of the room was big compared to normal rooms in other hotels.
Cons (-) Definitely need to change carpet and couch. Could not even sit on it.
