Good 7.0
Pros: Staff very good and rooms nice
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable, clean room, nice breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, quite and peaceful. It's ~5 min. drive from the town centre. The owners are lovely, give us a lot useful information about the area. We loved it.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hosts were very helpful, considerate and friendly. The atmosphere and setting were relaxed and welcoming. The fare was sumptuous and plentiful. Highly recommended with a moderate tariff. For us, it was a very restful break during travel.
Cons: Only query is that no one else had taken the time to write a review, so we did not have any reference to go by. If was a great place to stay.

Pros: We wish we would have known about this place before arriving in Ireland. We spent about a week going from town to town. We stayed at a bunch of different hotels and b&bs that were pretty bad despite having nice ratings. We aren't picky but a few seemed to have really old mattresses. Walking into the Onch View Lodge was like a breath of fresh air. The hosts were friendly and talkative. The view from our room was nice. Our room was huge and was very nice. The breakfast they cooked us in the morning was also very nice. The hosts also went out of their way to help us plan the rest of our trip around Ireland. The furnishings in the room were all contemporary like at a Marriot. Best sleep yet
Cons: It's about 5 minutes outside of town. That's the only thing I can think of but it wasn't a big deal. This place is a lovely steal. Be sure to stay here if you're in the area

Pros: Stayed here with seven family members...we all checked out each others rooms. Each one was more beautiful than the last! Staff was so friendly, Arthur and Einstein were every bit as charming as I'd heard, breakfast was wonderful and in a lovely setting. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the experience. Got a peek at the extravagantly gorgeous dining room, and you can be sure that if I ever make it back to Ballyseede, I will be dining there!

Pros: One of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in in Ireland. Been traveling to Ireland for 33 years and lived there for 23 years before, this lady knows what she's doing. Great rooms, probably the only king bed I've slept on in a B&B,great bathroom, T capital and a fan in case our room got too warm . Outstanding breakfast with additional choices of food available in the dining area . The refrigerator was stocked with some adult goodies available for purchase!
Cons: It's only minor, dragging our bags up two flights of stairs. That probably wouldn't work for more senior customers. This did not affect our enjoyment of the stay

Good 7.3
Pros: Geraldine the owner is very welcoming and also extremely efficient. I particularly welcomed the pot of tea and cake when we arrived from an over-night ferry from Swansea to Cork. The food is excellent if a little expensive although the menu has specials each day. We paid extra to stay in the Championship Suite which was well worth the money. The staff are all very good and friendly. We had initially only booked for two nights but like the hotel so much that we aked to stay a further two nights.
Cons: Nothing
Good 6.7
Pros: Nice place in a lovely setting. It is somewhat away from Killarney itself, so if you really want to dig into the nightlife there, you'll want to arrange for transportation. There are a lot of golfers around in the hotel, the menu in the in-house restaurant was excellent.
Okay 5.3
Pros: Friendly, well trained staff.
Cons: A bit out of Killarney.
Good 6.7
Pros: I found the room very appealing, decor-wise. Traffic from the side road was annoying. Staff generally courteous. Breakfast disappointing.
Cons: Breakfast. The brochure in the bedroom detailing the hotel was much too twee for my taste.
Good 7.7
Pros: On arrival was immediately made very welcome. Family and staff made each guest feel special.
Okay 5.6
Pros: The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. It was a bit out of town. The rooms were small but adequate. It was a bit overpriced for what was offered. The restaurant was excellent. We had an outstanding dinner there.

Pros: Great views of lake, big pool, good jacuzzi, concierge will do everything you ask them too, cool hotel. You have to shuttle or cab to town but the view of the lake is worth the commute

Pros: very family friendly
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It was our 1st year Wedding Anniversary we were upgraded to a lakeside suite, our views from the room was absolutely fabulous breath taking views.Going to this hotel ask for a lakeside room as the views are amazing. The Spa was exceptional. What we loved about this Hotel was the staff I have never stayed in any hotel in Ireland or overseas where the staff have been so friendly. The Management should be very proud of this factor. Already planning our next trip to Aghadoe Heights.
Good 6.3
Pros: The view was great and the room was spacious.
Cons: It was quite pricey and situating right next to a big graveyard might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Good 7.7
Pros: Absolutely totally relaxing.I felt that I had been there for a week not three days.
Mediocre 3.2
Pros: $review.pros
Cons: The initial room we were allocated was shabby and needed a good clean - certainly was not five star standard. Had to be upgraded to a better room which was a suite.

Pros: Everything was as we expected, just wonderful.
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: From Start to Finish, did not like anything about Redwood Country House.
Cons: I was extremely disappointed with my stay. We were greeted by an unfriendly gentleman, and felt like we were intruding by staying there. The room was freezing for the duration of the stay - The radiator was on, but much too small for the size of the room. Had breakfast the next morning and the bread was stale, put me off having the rest of my breakfast. This B&B is also at least 3km from Killarney, and not the 1km as advertised.
Good 7.7
Pros: Everything was great, but especially loved the breakfast.
Good 7.3
Pros: Great rooms, and great breakfast!

Good 6.0
Pros: The scenery is about the best asset of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms basic but clean.
Cons: Extremely quiet in the bar area at night.Nothing to keep us there. Thank God for pubs with a bit of life in Killarney itself.
Good 7.0
Pros: I liked the fact that we could play golf right at the property.
Cons: We [2 couples] asked if they had a trolly to bring in our luggage. We planned to do it ourselves. They sent an older gentleman with a very unpleasant attitude. He was probably much too old to be handling and lifting luggage and he was not an asset for the hotel. He accused me of being 'impatient' when I merely told him that the red suitcase goes to the other room. Other than this unpleasant experience we enjoyed our stay.
Good 6.3
Pros: Hotel was lovely & entertainment was very good in the bar, views of the lake were outstanding. Lovely walkway into killarney.
Cons: Rooms very far away from the foyer. There was a baby crying in the room next door & woke us very early. ~Bed covers & curtains were very drab
Good 6.7
Pros: i think the food was excellent, also the sceenery,it is ideal for a quiet time away.the fact that you have access to the national park is perfect.nice bar ,good drink.
Cons: the bathroom in the room could do with grade.
Okay 5.7
Pros: the view, the staff at the swimming pool, the playground, the general friendliness of the staff.the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed in general.value for money.
Cons: horrified by the use of blankets on beds, which no matter how thoroughly cleaned will always contain "material" from numerous previous guests.dissapointed that there is no way to walk around +enjoy the grounds, without having to turn back, especially given the setting. Disliked the pungent odour of chlorine emanating from pool all along corridors to the bedrooms. Also the sandpit near the playground was full of dog excrement + could easily be covered,I had to rescue my 2 year old from making a "sand pie".. otherwise a pleasant stay.
Good 6.8
Pros: The view and the setting of the hotel the friendly staff. Good food.
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6.0
Pros: i liked the surroundings and setting on the golf course absolutely beautiful. room was clean but little old fashioned and could do with modernisation. rest of hotel very nice. staff lovely
Cons: as i said rooms could be modernised the dressing table was old and chipped
Good 6.4
Pros: very clean - the entire hotel. staff very friendly and helpfull, location ideal as it was a romantic night away
Cons: no
Excellent 8.0
Pros: What a family friendly place!!! And the view is unbelievable. One morning we woke up one morning to see the moon setting up above the hills over the lake. The moon looked like a pearl sitting on the hills. We were at the Castlerosse on Easter weekend. There were activities for the children, such as an egg hunt. If you have children, then be sure to bring their bathing suits and a bathing cap. The full Irish breakfast was tasty and the panoramic view of the lakes from the dining room was something I won't forget. I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends who are planning a trip to Ireland.

Pros: Very large bedrooms which had wonderful views. Ours was on the top floor and overlooked one of Killarney's gorgeous lakes.
Okay 5.7
Pros: the room was a good size and bed was comfy
Cons: it was a short taxi distance from local town
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel was spotlessly clean and fresh .The staff were very friendly and gave good advise about what to see. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect with 2 small children .We would definately reccommend it and we will be returning.
Cons: nothing
Okay 5.7
Pros: The 1 Bedroom suite was very spacious and the location excellent for exploring the nearby national park and Ring of Kerry
Cons: Unfortunately the suite did not have a fully equipped kitchen, only microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. Also no wifi in rooms, only public areas.
Okay 5.3
Pros: adequate for a couple of nights, good rooms, clean, no coffee/tea making facilities in rooms, which disappointed.
Good 7.2
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, fabulous rooms.
Cons: Sound of television in bar up too loud for people trying to enjoy a meal. Also we expected the 2 bed suite to have ajoining rooms so we were a little disappointed to find that one was completely separate from the living area and other bedroom.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: "Suites" is exactly what it is. Two massive rooms, two tv`s, a kitchen, two settee`s. etc. etc. excellent dinner and breakfast. Just great.!!
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6.8
Pros: Size of rooms were very good
Cons: Food was edible but not great. Price of breadfast very expensive.
Okay 5.2
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of one of the staff on receiption was excellent resulting in my rating the hotel staff so above.
Cons: The open shower flooded the bathroom with water. Thus you could not have a shower at night before going out and expect it to be dry enough use it again the next morning. With 2 people showering it was like a swimming pool. This needs to be sorted.
Okay 5.2
Pros: $review.pros
Cons: Lack of in-room tea & coffee and blaming it on environmental health when other hotels don't seem to have an issue with this.

Pros: Right across from part of the park. Lovely bright room.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit tight for two.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was so welcoming and helpful, we were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door. We stayed in a gorgeous & spacious room with a balcony located on the front of the property. The bed was soft and pillows comfy. The hotel is very quaint and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. I enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace downstairs in the evening to wind down from the busy day. I highly recommend the breakfast! Continental style choices plus a variety of Irish meals cooked to order. The location is wonderful, less than a 10 minute drive into town.
Cons: Couldn't connect to wifi in our room and had to go downstairs in the common areas to get a connection. But that gave me an excuse to sit in front of the fireplace, so I can't complain!
Okay 5.7
