Location was perfect.
Room was too small.
Perfect location to see Old Montreal Friendly staff fluent in both languages Helpful with extra touches - asked for proper wine glasses and a cork screw Free afternoon snacks
bathtub could use some recaulking as it was black/mouldy in the corner
We really liked the location and the bar/restaurant next door. Sheri the bartender was great and made us very welcome and helped us with places to see. Olivier at the front desk was very helpful and always friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel itself is modern, in décor and in build. From the inside it could be any other Marriot hotel. The breakfast was a typical buffet. Tasty and plentiful, with enough choices. We asked a maid for a suggestion of where to eat that was close, and she old us of a hidden gem. Off the lobby of the hotel is a little ramp that goes to a "secret" passage, between buildings. It takes you right past the open door of the kitchen of the oldest inn in North America. Old growth hand cut beams , over 2 feet wide support the top floor. Stone walls and the original hearth filled with candles. You order Ala carte, Pricey but well worth it. L'Auberge Saint-Gabriel. Food Excellent cooked on open spit.
We stayed 2 days. We were ready for bed when the fire alarm went off. We walked down the 5 flights of stairs and ended up in the street in front of the hotel in our pjs with the rest of the guests as the fire trucks rolled up. We burst out laughing at the absurdity of the situation, (no one smelt smoke and we had successfully navigated the stairs) as the firemen checked out the situation. Some Prankster had pulled the alarm. I'm sure they were able to determine who had done it, since they have security cameras. Certainly was not the hotels fault. A note to anyone who thinks doing this is fun. GROW UP! Many of the guests are elderly and walking down multiple flights of stairs when elevators are automatically disabled can be dangerous or even fatal. That falls on you.
Accessibility... very near the center
I wish there were pancakes or waffles on breakfast food...
