Overview

Hotel William Gray is located in the heart of old Montreal. It is a perfect balance between modern design and historic architecture, full of local artwork, light, carefully curated furnishings, and stunning views of Montreal from rooftop decks. The Living Room is at the epicenter of the action: with a full bar, library, pool table, and vinyl collection, making it a gravitational point for the creative set.

Originally built in 1785, the northern part served as both a warehouse and shops for the auction of goods, while the southern part served as a residence. The two buildings are the only living examples of an 18th-century property that combines residence and work, which was common at the time. Since 1873, the buildings have been used for a variety of things, including a printer, shops, stable, restaurant, and brasserie. After a fire in March 1968, the owner restored the two buildings back to their original appearance, and it was classified as a historic monument in 1969.
