Excellent 8.0
Pros: I had a lovely 5 night stay at Himmapan. The owner is super friendly and greeted me by my name everytime I saw him. The pool and surrounding area was very relaxing. Free coffee and waters. Towles in the room along with hangers for clothes. If you rent a motorbike, its in a perfect spot to explore the island.
Cons: I've slept in many beds here in Thailand and this bed was hard (like all are) but also very lumpy (felt every spring). The only other downside was that my loft bungalow was under a cashew tree that constantly dropped their large cashew apples on the roof which were very loud and woke me up throughout the night with a "bang". Nothing they can fix. Its a beautiful tree! But if you are a light sleeper, its not ideal.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff treats u like family, everything is clean and comfortable, it's the most centralized location, its THE perfect place to stay on the island
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The place and the rooms are very nice. The room is very big and the bed is comfortable. The staff is very kind and helpful. They lend us mask, google and fins for snorkeling. The situation in the middle of the island let you arrive quick to any point.
Cons: Everything was perfect until I ordered a coke at their new bar. They charged be 50baths for a singles glass, not even the full can of cocacola. Even in a Koh Lipe's resort they charged me 40bath for the whole can. I didn't ask for anything else during my stay.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Jay was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He helped us rent a scooter and organised a nice boat trip around the island for the guests for an affordable price.
Cons: There was no breakfast included and it seemed like a bit of a burden for them to prepare us one. Luckily there are nice breakfast restaurants closeby if you have a scooter. The location is also good if you have a scooter. Not ideal without one. The swimming pool looked dirty and was uninviting upon our arrival. Later in the week, the water looked cleaner but there’s room for improvement.
Poor 1.0
Cons: The entire place is run-down and dirty & the Thai who runs it -Jay- is incorrect & can‘t even issue a correct invoice. One doesn’t feel welcomed at all! Jay smiles at you but as soon as he turns around he talks bad behind your back. Absolutely disgusting, devious guy who treats women without respect. Furthermore he ignored my efforts to change the venue and made stupid sexist comments. The pool appears green it was blurry & full of insects. The breakfast is the worst on the island- don‘t even consider eating there! No other food offered than that & nothing nearby. You can‘t get anywhere without a bike - therefore it is not ideal for families at all. The owner is often away & his staff does not speak English at all so in the worst case you can’t even call a taxi. If something happens you’d be totally screwed. The bungalow is inconvenient: black from the outside- it is like an oven. Its tin roof is prob the worst-; one can hear animals crawling all night & I had spiders the size of my hand & a rat inside as well as other unpleasant visitors. The shower/bathroom has got no windows and is unhygienic & many animals live in this wet room. The light is insufficient. Be aware that you will wake up often due to the falling cashew nut fruit from the trees above the tin shack which sounds almost like falling coconuts! Most other resorts offer bamboo or wooden huts which I can wholeheartedly recommend. The bar opens only if the owner decides to run it for himself and his local friends who often play pool until late at night which I found very disturbing on my first evening after a long-distance flight. They were really drunk and made a lot of noise. Very unprofessional! Road works directly in front of the resort. Furthermore the owner was too lazy to organize anything really & upon departure he promised to have ordered a taxi to the pier. He simply forgot & that‘s his general attitude.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Jay is very friendly, the best host you can have. Himmapan is close to everything if you have a bike. Quiet and relaxing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I stayed at Himmapan for almost 7 weeks. I enjoyed every minute of my time! The place is located in the middle of the island. Perfect location! When you are too lazy to take the scooter, you get to the beach within a short time. Otherwise just jump in the super nice pool! Close by there are three restaurants with very tasty food! Although the days were very hot, the rooms were chilly during the night because the beds are on second floor. I had to wear a longsleeve in the night! I had the closest room to the pool and bar. Even when there were people playing Pool Billard or drinking at the bar, it was very quiet. I never had problems with sleeping :) Last but not least I want to thank the owner Jay! He gave me the feeling of being home. He is a very gentle man, who always wanted the best for his guests. No matter which problem or question you had, he tried to help you. He was organizing fishing and boat tours with his own boat. When I lost my mobile phone, he called almost every person on the island to get it back. I highly recommend Himmapan!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much. JAY is a very friendly and helpful host. The loungearea with , bar, tabletennis, sofas and hammocks. Just a wonderful place to relaxe. The Villa is spacious and our bed was heavenly comfortabel. 100% recommended.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The whole area was really pretty and sleek in design. The pool area was perfect for chilling and the pool itself great! They also have a pool table and table tennis with chillout area. Jai the owner was lovely and helped us out with a map, recommendations and with taxi/motorbike rental. The rooms themselves are cool in design and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect location too, though motorbike rental neccessary but that's best anyway so can explore the whole island easily. Also free coffee/water refills all day.
Cons: You will see a few spiders, it is the jungle after all. I freaked out a little so wish there could have been better lighting in the bathroom just so I could check it easily, but even if you don't like spiders it's still a wonderful stay!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: There are everything you need enough. You don't need to asking for. The pool was very pretty and the good spot to explore the island. For a simple life is Perfect
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The staff were Amazing and everyone was friendly and helpful without being asked. The property and the pool are beautiful with nice touches such as floating flowers. The coffee machine!
Cons: The breakfast was nice and the room was really nice. The dishes that were supposed to be hot could have been warmer. It was really an exceptional place. The price for the room and food in the cafe were more like European prices.
Good 7.0

Pros: Very friendly staff, awesome breakfast and really nice pool area. They pick you up for free at the pier and transferred our luggage to the next accommodation we booked. Really nice stay!!
Cons: There is nothing i can complain about concerning the resort itself.
Good 7.1
Pros: Location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was quiet and relaxing with all amenities on location. The restaurant served both western and Thai food; there was a mini mart that had basic needs; and the bar happy hour was good. My husband and I enjoyed the pool .Best breakfast we have had for a long time, freshly cooked eggs to perfection:)Out of the way, quiet beach. Helpful & friendly staff. Good to sit by the beach and do some work as well. Enjoy the stay very much - just wasn't long enough!
Cons: -
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent small resort straight on the beachfront. Imagine eating breakfast with views worth million dollars ;-).. The staff tried really hard, everone was very polite and helped you in everthing you asked for. Its just 100 meters frm the pier.
Cons: WIFI didnt reach all over the resort. But in most places. The breakfast was OK but no more. But the view made it up! The beach is nice but its more windy on this side of the island. This is not the hotels fault.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The view from the restaurant and sitting pretty much on the beach was amazing.
Cons: We stayed a week, but even though it was half empty there were no upgrades like some places. And the kitchen and cleaning staff was awesome but the check in and out had something to be desired .
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the Location is near to the Beach, where we love to go!
Cons: Nothings

Pros: Nice location. No waves at this side of the island. Beautiful sunsets. Food at restaurant is good. Great “granola” (and good other choices) breakfast. Closed cabins, screens in windows. No water heather in bathroom, but really not necessary. Not too cold and great flow. Friendly, helpful staff. Management speaks well English. If on this island again, no doubt I’ll come back here.
Cons: Hard beds as often in Thailand. Too thick pillows.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Food was amazing , the customer service was great . Always had towels and room floor cleaned every day . Staff was excellent . Nahm took good care of us . Would stay again definitely
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location. Fantastic staff. Very good food.
Cons: Room was basic and a little dark but suited our needs (needed 4 beds in one room)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great staff, they are so helpful and they do look for ur best interest. The girl in the reception is amazing in all ways! And the location is placed on the best beach on the whole island.
Cons: It's a bumby road to get there, but that's all over the island so.
Excellent 10.0

Pros: I liked the area it was in. Access to the beach was only 300m away. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: I thought it was exepensive to stay there. At least breakfast should be included. I stayed at o=another beach front place for the same money and it was superior. The bathroom could do with a refit
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It's fresh inside at day time. Well situated. Nice staff and breakfast. The Wi-Fi was good.
Cons: No curtains. Some bungalows are very close, no privacy. The ones on the back are good.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I liked the location very much. Close to the beach and near buy there are a lot of places where to eat. Just across the street there is a supermarket and a massage place. If you stay for longer period, place is cleaned every 3rd day, which is ok form my point of view.
Cons: I really can't find anything to complain for. Only thing could be that most of the staff speaks very poor English or doesn't speak it at all. But anyway you can agree on everything and it is not a big problem. Just be relaxed and enjoy your stay :)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were helpful and the lady there always had a smile on her face. Were cleaning up cashew nut fruit off the little hut walkways between rooms, shame they didnt clean the bathrooms of them too. Laundry service was good. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Compared to others that were available, this is an okay choice. JJ's resort across the way looked good but little hut is up there probably. Beachfront resorts are a score if you manage to get one we noticed but the island is very rural type accommodation.
Cons: Bathroom needed a good clean every day which I always ended up doing with the toilet spray, as leaves, twigs and cashew nut fruit were constantly collecting fruit flies and always landed in the bathroom area. Wasnt the cleanest but how can it be if its outside I suppose. We were also in room 5 and found at around 1.30am every morning there was a creature living in the roof who sounded like it was scratching it's way in. Slept with ear plugs after the first night and was doing it so loud it still woke us up the next 3 nights. Our fault I suppose as we unpacked and couldn't be bothered to ask to move, which I'm sure they would have accomodated. Sleep on the beach made up for it.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The location is good
Cons: There is no mosquito net over the bed as in the photos in booking.com so lots of insects at night and cann’t sleep well. The toilet and shower room is opened and no roof.I found frogs inside the toilet 3nights.I had to wait until the morning to use it again,so terrible.I found cockroaches in my bedroom many times.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Art and his team and very helpful and welcoming. The Bungalows are simple but clean, the beds large and comfortable with fans and flyscreens. The cafe and bar have a great selection of food and drink and the host will prove extremely helpful if you need assistance with any bookings, rentals or activities. Little Hut is a short walk to long beach and lots of bars and restaurants near by.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The staff made things extra special for my wife’s birthday. Thank you so much for that. Quiet Free refillable water station Close to beach and restaurants
Good 7.9
Pros: The property was very clean and the cottage itself also. But since we only had the cleaning every other day, the outside bathroom got quite dirty from the leaves and cashew fruits. The hosts were really friendly and nice, and they rent good scooters for 150thb per day. The room didnt have AC but we wouldnt even need it as the trees block the sun from the whole property and they have efficient fans.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great hosts, great bungalows, relaxed atmosphere, very good coffee, loved it

Pros: Staff very friendly & location is great
Cons: Breakfast the same everyday
Good 6.3
Pros: Great staff and great food at the restaurant rooms were nice
Cons: Horrible location absolutely nothing to do garbage everywhere on the beach and the restaurants in town I got sick from, and the TV was horrible one station out of all of them spoke English
Okay 4.0
Pros: Location very good on the beach and the views from pool area excellent.
Cons: Front of house staff had very very limited English which is very surprising given the property to pushing itself as 5-star. Often the answer was 'no' or 'cannot',,,,staff simply had little interest in dealing with customers that cannot speak Thai. Breakfast offering well below standard given room prices. Our room was situated near staff quarters and every morning was woken up at 5:30am through talking / laughing etc. Asked 3 times on the final morning for staff to be quiet and was completely ignored. Staff did not have the mental bandwidth / intelligence to understand guests should not be woken up. Failure on management's behalf of understand / police this issue.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: But our experiences were almost only positive! Our best experience with the Blue Sky Resort is that people working were very kind, friendly, very sweet and very hospitable (in contrary to many reviews here). They managed to surprise us, since I had informed them about my and my wife's honeymoon there, by putting all kind of small, yellow (=lucky colour for Thai) flowers in tiny glass cups everywhere in our cabin! That was so sweet. The flowers came from the flower tree with butterflies in their garden, of which they were proud. So kind of them to have arranged this. Next to this wonderful surprise, there are many many reasons why this place is a paradise: the cabins (we had one near the mangrove River) were beautifully designed in the inside and outside with little details. The low and high tide of the sea water gave us different views of the surroundings and cabin each time we walked there (note: the cabins are not constantly surrounded by water, because of the tides), in the mangroves. The surroundings and tides give this place a very unique and a nowhere else to be founs stay! We had the best full moon view over the water while lying in a hammock. Breakfast was good, there were quite a lot of different options to choose from (if you like Asian food). The swimming pool service was excellent, and the people were always helping us out, whenever we needed something and even anticipated our needs. And a cool thing you can do is visit the mangroves, next to the resort, by kayak which you can use for free. The location of the resort is on a very quiet part of the island. And last but not least: they even waved us goodbye for minutes when we left the resort! (We stayed in the middle of December 2019 for 4 nights) . Thank you for making our honeymoon a wonderful and magical experience!
Cons: Blue Sky was a paradise for us! But if I have to give one major complaint: the constant sound of a generator, during day and night, next to our (R12) cabin and other cabins. Because of this it was hard to fall and stay asleep. If you are a light sleeper and you have the choice, try to avoid the R11, R12 and R13 (which is the closest to the generator) and L6 and L7 cabins. And two minor things: 1. It's great you can borrow the bikes, but mind the breaks, they don't always work well. 2. The restaurant closes sometimes quite early (at 20pm).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wow very beautiful, loved every moment with my beautiful wife will come back again with the family next time. Wonderful and relaxing.
Good 6.7
Pros: Room spacious and clean
Cons: Location is poor
Good 7.5
Pros: Location.. location. But the island itself looks like an abandoned island.. very run down..
Cons: Food selection. Breakfast is very few selection for the money you pay. Also 60% of the items in the menu not available is the answer every time.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Nice staff, equipment for water sport activities (like canoe) have been available for free.
Cons: On booking.com this Resort had the highest rating on this island. But when we compare price to room, then we must say rooms are heavily overpriced for this island. Breakfast in our opinion very poor in variety of offering. All in all we have been disappointed, especially when we started to look around the island and compare with other resorts. There are much nicer ones available for a more affordable price.

Pros: Stayed here twice leaving and coming back to Ranong from Koh Phayam, super helpful staff and super value rooms and bathrooms, amazing location right in the middle of the town. Would come back if return to Ranong
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The bed is comfy, I had a very good sleep. Staffs are very nice. It located in a good location.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Beautiful old school interior. Book exchange.
Cons: Overpriced and parts of the building still seem to be under construction. No common area except the kitchen. Loud street and I heard the people in the room next to mine snoring. Oh and if you are a woman and have your period, you might get charged extra if you leak on the sheet.
Good 7.9
Pros: Nice decor. Centeral location.
Cons: Rooms timy and without windows. Bathroom sinks are in very public space. No breakfast.

Good 7.9
Pros: Amazing location. Very quiet and peaceful. Probably the best area to stay on the island. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Too expensive for what you get. It should have included breakfast. Apparently it used to have AC in the room and a hot water heater in the bathroom. The former is disconnected and the latter has been removed. Not a serious problem because the room was so hot at night with just a fan that you wouldn’t want a warm shower anyway! Signs every where about conserve water and electricity and extra charges for everything that’s normally included. I felt like I was a kid with my dad telling us to turn the lights off all the time. I would gladly return to this island but I would chose another place.
Good 7.9
Pros: Lovely beech location. Large room. Cleaned daily. Outside veranda. Has safe. Restaurant on site.
Cons: Generator noise for people towards back but then I suppose they have to get electric somehow. Cold shower. Broken bed. No air con remote but we didn’t complain so didn’t give chance to resolve. Just used fan.

Pros: Good food
Cons: Pricey - had to wait on management, never in office

Cons: Due to carina virus we call before arrival to insure facilities were available. We were told only the gym was closed. On arrival everything was closed and they did not bother ti inform anyone. An email would have been appreciated. Then we requested to pay cash for the stay and they refused. There is a serious problem with the management and staff.

Pros: Nice pool area.
Cons: Prices for breakfast & drinks are much to high!
Good 6.5
Pros: Location, a good pool, the price, the room was reasonable and clean, morning breakfast buffet was good, staff was courteous.
Cons: This is a regional hotel, probably two-star, don't expect any luxury
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Loved the pool and spa area. A beautiful mountain view from the rooms, and a super comfortable bed. Also easy taxi to Ranong pier. And free shuttle to the hot springs a plus.
Cons: Nothing! It was a lovely stay
Good 6.0
Pros: Value for the money paid. Complimentary transfer to the airport but the hotel should inform guest about the schedule. The room got everything you need for the price you pay. We don't mind that the hotel is aged as long as they keep up the good work for cleanliness and safety.
Cons: Staff! From the beginning, reservation or sale staff took nearly 3 weeks to reply to the email. Duplicated info were not handled properly and their system did not seem to be up to date while checking booking info. Hotel staff were not so friendly, was just so so, except the driver who drove us to the airport.

Pros: Cheapest place I could find. Standard slowish Thai WiFi speeds. Staff spoke enough English, more than other hotels in Ranong.
Cons: I was expecting a ceiling fan, but it was a stand up fan. Bed was a little hard, but plenty of pillows.
Good 7.1
Pros: Convent location near a wonderful morning market. Breakfast was just alright.
Cons: Pretty spartan, but clean. A few ants around sink in the bathroom.
Good 7.9
Pros: Simple Nice and clean good for short stay
Cons: Not eough towels. Only 1 staff. Have to carry the luggage’s up tp 2nd floor ourselves.pleasent snuff for the price in a very small town.

Okay 5.0
Pros: Cloose to the bus station
Cons: There are bed bugs in at least one doble room and they knew it because they gave us half of the money back only showing them the bites.
Good 6.0
Pros: Staff very friendly right next to the bus station so ideal for backpackers serves cheap local food provides shuttle for airport and can arrange transport and ferries to the nearby islands
Cons: For me it was fine for overnight do not expect deluxe accommodation and you will be fine
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place was amazing, they accepted us even if we arrived really late at night! Easy to find, exactly at the bus stop and their beautiful playful dog was waiting for us outside to show us the entrance:) Both Jai and her sister were incredibly nice and for just 300baht they sold us the boat ticket to Koh Phayam along with a ride to the pier on Jai’s van! Remember to wake up early enough to have breakfast! We were to sleepy and sadly missed it, but the coffee was reeeally good! Thank you very much! We’ll be back:)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location contiguous to the bus station. Also near a 7/11, local bar and a gym. The hostel restaurant was good value. The hostel can arrange and book transport albeit at a premium.
Cons: The owner while both informative and helpful can be a tad brusque. Accomodation in Ranong is expensive compared to other places in Thailand.
Good 7.0
Pros: Near the bus station, 20 min walk to hot springs. Ok place for the money, don't expect luxury!
Cons: Ok but business like owner. No breakfast
Excellent 8.0
Pros: My room was already occupied by another traveller so the owner booked me a room in another hostel next to kiwi and offered me the dinner as a compensation. I really appreciated the effort.
Okay 4.0
Pros: As said, you get what you pay for, there was a bed and a fan.
Cons: You get what you pay for, the place isn't too clean and it smells through out the building.
