We enjoyed our visit to Devon as we visited our friends in Devon and Cornwall but unfortunately the Hotel was not what we were expecting.
We found our room dull and not up to modern standards with reference to plumbing. Given that the Hotel is in the Dartmoor national park, the view over a most unattractive flat roof was frankly very dissapointing. The owners were apologetic but our 40th Wedding anniversary trip was not enhanced by that and we left early.

Great place to relax in and wonderfully peaceful and quiet with good swimming pool.
The decor in room was tired and in need of a more modern touch. Bathroom too small and little room to put wash bags.

“Slightly out of my comfort zone going to a spa hotel on my own for a few days but actually it was great! I found David on reception particularly helpful and friendly. Also I had a spa treatment which I hadn’t done before. It was well worth it. A good combination of relaxation and exceptionally picturesque walks. I had dinner in the bar area which was pretty relaxed and the food was great. I would definitely return.”
