I rented a Nissan Marano when I arrived, they only had Mitsubishi something or another with 12 inch wheels. I needed to get back to Miami so I really didn’t care until I got on the highway. I didn’t realize that I couldn’t get over 50 miles an hour without swerving all over the place and jumping lanes. I attempted to call them. It was after five and held for an hour. Decided to get off the highway and spend the night and call them in the morning. They told me if I drove to Clearwater Beach 25 minutes away each way they will have another car for me when I arrive there. There was no car, but somebody walked in with the van and they gave it to me. I told him they didn’t even need to clean it as long as I can get back to Miami. I get the van with a quarter of a tank of gas stop at the gas station and It will not take gas. It took me 40 minutes to get 3/4 of a tank vapor lock on the fuel system seems to be clogged., running very very late now and told by the agency that there would be no extra charges when I arrive into Miami late what I did, I was very late because they shut down the I 75 due to an accident took me an additional four hours to get out of that when I arrived and enterprise was closed. There was signs on the doors. This location does not have drop off service and post their hours 730 open to Return the next day I come in the next day drop off the car and to my surprise they charge me an additional day on my credit card so we will no longer be using enterprise which used to be my favorite car rental while traveling

Terrible customer experience and customer service. I arrived early to pickup my vehicle (I needed to get a ride and the person needed to get to work so 9am was the only time window I could get there). My pickup was scheduled for noon (12pm). I was the ONLY customer there and the parking lot was full of cars. The front desk employee was not helpful and told me “your car isn’t cleaned yet, I could probably have it cleaned by 1130” I told him I didn’t care about the cleanliness and also stated he could upgrade or downgrade my vehicle as I didn’t care. He just stared at me and told me to wait in the lobby til the car is ready and there was “nothing he could do” I tried calling 1800 number to speak to customer service to see if there was anything they could help with because I could not wait around for 3 hours. Customer service was terrible and no help. They kept passing me to another agent, causing the phone to hang up 3 times. Finally after my 5 transfer, I spoke to someone in “rental trucks” who didn’t understand why I was transferred to him in the first place, told me (after I explained the situation) that my request was not unreasonable and there job was to help me get a vehicle even if it was looking at another location. He recommended I talk to the guy at the front desk again and see if he could help or ask for a manager. When I went back in and asked to speak to a manager, magically my vehicle (which was the same vehicle I saw in the lot earlier and it never moved) was “ready”

My scheduled pick up time was 6 pm. I arrived at 6:03 and Budget was closed and no one was there so I could not pick up the vehicle. Why would the schedule a 6 pm pick up when the leave at 6?

The pickup service was fine, but drop-off at the Orlando airport was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And the only vehicle available was a gas-guzzling pickup truck, which compounded the price gouging for gas.

Pros:

when i arrived in Ocala to pick up my car i was asked to show two pictured forms of id, i did not fly there so i did not carry my passport and i do not even need one unless i travel out of country. Katie was just doing her job and would not rent to me because your computer requested the 2nd id. i usually use Enterprise to travel, however your rates appeared to be better. i arrived much earlier and returned my car early and was charged over 300 dollars for two days. i called avis and you rerouted me to pick up a car in the ocala airport, the gentleman also has the same request of me to show two form of picture id. he rented to me anyway but gave me a crossover which ate more then half the gas that the ikea would have used. you should have stated that i would need that id, what a stress you caused me to an already stressful time in my life.

Cons:

state you might need a second picture id. your prices werent the price you state upon holding your car. i will not use avis if i can help it in the future.
