Guests can relax in a shared lounge with a bar. The hotel has shared dormitory rooms with bunk beds and private rooms with Japanese futon bedding on a wooden floor. All rooms are air-conditioned and have heating facilities, while toilets and bathrooms are shared. Bunk beds come with curtains for privacy. From hotel Torii-Kuguru it’s only a 10-minute drive to Okayama Castle or Korakuen Park. No meals are served.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The public area was really nice and relaxing! Very cozy ! Water pressure of the shower was quite strong which was really nice! Also, both restrooms and shower rooms were clean Staffs are helpful for any questions!
Cons: A little far from Okayama station, it takes about 10-15 minutes walk and The streets are quite dark in the night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice and super clean hostel. The owners made sure everything was perfect down to the finest detail. I would definitely recommend staying there!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly place with a large rest room with a kitchen Charming place and lay out Location close to the JR station in a nice area with a lot of restaurants for locals Friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is in a nice and quiet neighborhood only about 10-15min walking distance from Okayama Station. Though space is limited, the kitchen and the living area are very comfortable and decorated so nicely. The staff is super-friendly and you are provided with a coupon for their café just a few meters down the street. Or you just can enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea at the hostel itself.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff and quiet place. The garden behind is perfect for breakfast.
5.4 Okay
Pros: About a ten minute walk from train station, convenient location, open kitchen, easy laundry, Torii gate entrance
Cons: Bare bones, no rentals for basic towel, toothbrush, soap; room was just a futon and AC unit and low table, nothing else. Other places for same price in smaller towns had small mirror, cushioned seat, hangers, shelve unit, chair even, and decorations. And there were many unfinished areas in the place that could definitely do with a makeover like replacing mirror in front of sinks, plastered over tiles. It has a gritty look but looks in major need of some renovations. Walls really thin and everything squeaks so hair dyers blasting, creaking floor boards. Also could have maps and schedules of surrounding transport, maps of nearby places, just things that a traveler needs. They do have business cards and posters of current events though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere. The hostel had an traditional and laid back vibe which was very relaxing and peaceful. The stacked bunk beds we're cool and the common area was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is relatively close to Okayama station, just make sure you follow the directions provided by the hostel as they are more direct than the directions in Google maps (plus there is a location with a similar name 160 meters away).
Cons: There are not many showers or toilets so there may be a queue at busy times, the staff can advise when the busy times are. The wooden corridors amplify the sound a bit when people are walking through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and friendly service, comfortable living area, kept very clean. Good location near cafes, shops, etc. I loved the natural but modern interior decor and style.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Torii-Kuguru is a super clean, comfortable hostel. The common room and the kitchen is cute and chill as well. Staff are nice, as well as the staff of their lounge bar. Not really close to Okayama station but more quite.
7.9 Good
Pros: very cozy
Cons: a little bit far from Okayama station.
Hotel Excel Okayama - Okayama - Building
3
8.2 Excellent (1,298 reviews)
C$ 96+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Excel Okayama in Okayama (Kita Ward), you'll be steps from Orient Museum and 3 minutes by foot from Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is quite convenient as it’s connected to a tram station. However, the trams are quite small and it might be troublesome to others if you try to take your luggage with you on them.
Cons: The rooms could have been a little bit bigger so that it’s easier to manage my belongings. Also, I felt like the amenities and facilities inside the room were somewhat old.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to the castle and many rooms will have a view on it and the river. It's also easy to find and get to from the JR station by either tram or on foot. Our room was quite big, much larger than the one in the pictures. The staff are friendly and there's a laundry room.
Cons: The hotel is a bit old and it shows in some places, some furniture is worn out. It was dirty under our bed and dusty in the whole place. The air conditioning was the loudest, most unworkable thing I have seen, at one point it started blowing hot air after cooling the room too much. The breakfast had some variety but it was not great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very cooperative but language was sometimes a barrier. Very close to castle and garden. Good value for the money
Cons: WiFi/Internet required some fiddling and language difficulties with staff made that more awkward. Staff were not really focused on travelers needs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located near the Okayama castle and Korakuen garden, very comfortable room, lovely staff always willing to help and super nice breakfast buffet (japanese as well as western options available).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Close to Castle and gardens. Tram to bus station very convenient. Room had a nice view over river and castle. There was even a massage chair in the room which admittedly took up valuable space but worked so well! The bath tub was nice after a big day sightseeing. Good Chinese restaurant in basement. Very good breakfast as well.
Cons: No complaints.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Kindness of the staff, good location between JR Station and the Gardens, perfect breakfast
Cons: The hotel needs a renovation, a bit expensive because of that

Pros: It's very close to the park. You can have a good walk out in the morning.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room small but comfortable, has everything I need, good mattress, quiet, very nice staff, good location
Cons: No shelves to put things from my suitcase, just 3 hangers in the closet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. It's only a stone away from the underground crossing.
Cons: The kettle was a bit small to my liking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The tram just outside.
Cons: The restaurant on the 1st floor did not generate enthusiasm.

Cons: For me it's perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Within Japanese business hotel standards. Very near Okayama station. Wifi worked fine. Breakfast is a little "different" with a selection of buns. Free soft drinks a nice touch. Somewhat strange cartoon characters on the walls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, and they speak English very well. The free foods and drinks in the lobby are cery nice! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which is not by any means guaranteed in Japanese hotels. All in all, a very charming hotel that I would definitely stay at again if I were to visit Okayama again.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Amazing, huge rooms. Very kind and helpful staff. Big selection of soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath salts. Bathroom was gigantic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Served us cake and coffee at checkin.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Park cars discreetly in front of your room so no-one sees your guests come in.
Cons: It's a love hotel. Cheap sex is in the air, room smelled like smoke and cheapness. You bump in the hallway into girls that are working the nightshift. And next to all that, the location is horrible. It's more than 45 min away from the centre and nothing in the area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room, very nice and kind stuff, and the manager of the place is sweet and he let us feel that we are his friends. Also the hotel is far from the. Center it worth it I recommended this place specially if you have a car. Kisses from Israel

Pros: Staff incredibly friendly Big rooms Clean Free drinks area
Cons: A little out of the centre of the centre (25 minute bus journey)
5.0 Okay
Pros: Dimension of the room. Simpathy of the employees.
Cons: No Wi-Fi. In the middle of nowhere. It's what in Europe we call a motel (love hotel). It's not a proper hotel in the real sense of the word. No transportation appart from taxi to the center of Okayama and for that expect to pay around 2200 Yen
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was a surprise to note that we arrived to a love hotel but it was clean with a big room and shower
Cons: location is far from the city center which is OK if you drive or you take a taxi
7.5 Good
Cons: If washing machine was available, there will be perfect.
Overview Reviews
Located in Okayama (Kita Ward), Sauna & Capsule Hotel Hollywood - Caters to Men is within a 15-minute walk of Orient Museum and Okayama Prefectural Museum of Art. Featured amenities include a business center, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and a water dispenser. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The only positive thing I can say about the place is that the staff wear accommodating and its very good location near the station. Other than that, if you are a backpacker, find another place to stay in. The availability of a public bath within the hotel is not bad as well.
Cons: Very outdated capsule hotel. Small lockers, probably meant for small business bags only. Not really designed for long-distance travelers with big luggages and backpacks.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bath, sauna and jacuzzi are really good. Its next to the main station. You got your own robe all the time, so you don't have to wear your own clothes.
Cons: Its first hard to find, because its above an Pachinko hall. But can't say anything bad at all
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hot spring bath. Capsule was surprisingly roomy.
Cons: Nothing, great place to stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fantastic location and very clean. Traditional Japanese breakfast (main being rice with raw egg) was good
Cons: Very traditional Japanese capsule hotel which was confusing for us as westerners. We were told off for being in the capsules during the daytime hours and you had to wear a gown everywhere. Think this hotel is intended for salarymen.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good public bath and perfect location
Cons: 1. Very common breakfast, hope it may improve 2. Noisy machines at capsule room, bothering my sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Can’t beat this place if you are looking for cheap and easy.
Cons: Fairly noisy with people getting in and out of their capsules all night long but just unlucky that I had a lively room of capsules I guess!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything is as expected.
Cons: The sleeping area and capsule was way too warm. Also the air circulation was bad.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staffs are nice and the breakfast they offered is good! Also the sauna is good.
Cons: Full of uneducated Japanese people who made a lot of noise during the midnight and also endless alarms at 5 in the morning until 7. I couldn’t slept for the whole night! Really unpleasant and annoying experience, the staffs are nice though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was complimentary and was miso soup, rice, and raw egg! The showers were public showers and had a few different pools to soak in. A robe was also provided for wear within the premises. It was super close to the train station
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1. Good, central location. 2. No noise from the pachinko parlour downstairs. 3. The sauna / hot tubs were lovely, 4. Free beer and something free for breakfast (I left before breakfast was available [6]) 5. Friendly staff. 6. The capsule was pretty cool too!
Cons: I honestly can’t think of anything. Was a good, albeit brief, stay.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is not far away from the train station and good to reach and find. The staff is very friendly ant the place has a nice bar area to hang out and have a drink or food Every bed is provided with a light and a power socket. Lower beds also have curtains.
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, nice location and good atmosphere at the bar downstairs
Cons: There was kind of a smell in the room, I guess due to humidity + heat.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fashionable atmosphere, comfortable bed, and good location.
Cons: It will be better if staffs clean the shower room and remove the hair from the drain.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful and public space is clean
Cons: The room is smaller than I think
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nicest staff ever. Super helpful. They even carried my luggage upstairs, to help me with my injured back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are great, and the place just has a really nice and chill atmosphere
Cons: The top bunk beds don't have curtains.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, very clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect location The bar under the hostel Free welcome drink!
Cons: No privacy Not worth the money
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice lounge/bar area downstairs (although sort of expensive). Rooms are large and kitchen and bathrooms are well-equipped.
Cons: Walls and floor seemed very thin as we could hear noise both from downstairs (until it closed) as well as adjacent rooms, even though everyone else was trying to be quiet. Window curtains are very thin and almost useless against light, which is a problem when the sun rises at 4 am in the summer. Uniquely among pretty much any capsule hotel or hostel, lockers are not provided by default.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good for hostel English is ok.
Cons: Zero place to put your suitcase or back pack.....as in zero nothing nada. It's impossible to repack or do anything if you have a suitcase. Laundry machine dryer gets hot but does not exhaust so clothes stay wet but real hot. No place to hang any clothing if you do need to dry anything or to even hang up in the room. Automatic lights would be nice because everyone leaves all the lights on. This is upstairs sleeping up a spiral staircase so a little difficult to go up if you have something big.
Hotel Limani - Okayama - Building

C$ 306+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Limani in Setouchi, you'll be in the suburbs, just steps from Setonaikai National Park and a 2-minute drive from Ushimado Shrine. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very friendly international staff; great entrance, restaurant and bar/lobby (completely new and state of the art) The hotel has a high potential for the future if the necessary renovations of the rooms are done.
Cons: Rooms need to be renovated (old carpets); swimming pool needs to be pimped up (flaking paint; deserted bar) I think the hotel can make more use of the proximity of the islands (Naoshima, Teshima,...) and the Setouchi Art festival. We came especially for this festival to this region; but there was only limited information at the reception available. I believe that 'art tourists' could be an important target group for this hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: See view from the room, nice room, comfortable bed.
Cons: We really suffered from the noisy ventilation system (Not the A/C that was off, but the permanent ventilation system).

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room with a great view to the city. Clean toilet and nice small balcony. Great comic collection in the main lobby free to read. Very tasty breakfast

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great valné and happy hour at night is a perfect touch.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Happy hour free drink.
5.8 Okay
Pros: There is a Breakfast. Price is moderate. Smoking is allowed in the room (VERY rare actually, and very pleasant if you are a smoker but very unpleasant if you are not a smoker)
Cons: The place in the city is not very good; quite far away by foot from the train station or from a subway station. What a weird surprise at the breakfast; margarine and 70% orange juice; Welcome back in the 70's, butter or real orange juice are no more expensive !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Modern hotel, clean rooms, not to far from centre and station which makes exploring the area of Okayama easy.
Cons: Beds and pilows are quit hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food and the staff was very friendly
Cons: The smell of cigarettes in the room at the start of my stay. Rooms needs to be aired out while cleaning for the next people who are staying
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Free breakfast. Free one drink at evening as welcome drink. Free face cream and lotion.
Cons: There is no knife in breakfast. There is no explanation about food served in the breakfast. I don’t eat some kind of meat and it was difficult to know.

For added value, the hotel features warm water shower toilets, valet cleaning service, a newsstand and trouser press. Book now.
7.9 Good
Pros: Central location, close to castle and garden and city center. Tram line is in front of house. Station is reachable by tram.
Cons: Small rooms, hotel is a bit dated.
7.5 Good
Cons: The bed are under the curtain. The curtain was so dusty.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close by Tram 1 stop 3 and also within easy walking distance of Koraku-en gardens and castle and some other attractions. Inclusive breakfast although not the best was adequate. Launderette and ice facilities were on our floor (7)
Cons: Our double room 720, I considered cramped for 1 person - we were 2 and had luggage! So disappointed. About a 25cm step up into bathroom cubicle and managed to bang my knee on "climbing down" - small deep bath to shower in. Tired sink enamel. All expected features in the room just lack of space to use them. Room was very hot - air con when switched on defaulted to 24 degrees and limited to 18 as the low end of range. Difficult to cool room even with an open window. Couldn't find a TV channel using English language. Reception staff had quite limited use of English.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The helpfull staff. We could change the 2 rooms with a small semidouble bed for 2 rooms with 2 big single beds. (We paid ¥1000 per night per room more, but it was worth it). The parking next to the hotel could be used for about ¥1200 (4pm-10am). The shopping mall is 3 minutes walk. The Okayama castle is 8 minutes walk. The price was the best: ¥5200(+1000) for a 2 beds bedroom with breakfast on a sunday night in the summer.
Cons: The semi double beds are 130cm wide so to little space for normal sized people. In the booking.com site it says 130-150cm. But it is really 130cm. Breakfast is very simple, but it is free. Do not expect too much. And the walls are very thin, so you hear the noise from the other rooms.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. Very good location next to the city center, the castle and the garden. Very good varied buffet breakfast included.
Cons: The staff does not speak English. The public parking next to the hotel was full. We had to go quite far away, with no possibilty of unloading the car in front of the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location close to Korakuen and Okayama Castle. 15 minute walk to JR Okayama Station. Free breakfast was fantastic with great selection of food. Will return to this hotel if we travel in the area again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, close to the garden and castle, the room is enough spacious for two persons and suitcases.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to Okayama castle, bus station and a shopping area. It's about 2 km from the train station but no worries there's a 100 yen tram service. Good breakfast and nice staff. The room has a nice view of the town.
Cons: Compared to other places we'd stayed in Japan, it's a bit old and not as clean. Wi-Fi was slow and at times it just didn't go at all.
7.9 Good
Pros: Coffie in lobbie. Ergonomic pillows.
Cons: Super small toilet room. It was really cold(draught) to sleep near a window.

7.5 Good
Pros: The size of the rooms was good for this price range. There is enough room on the floor to leave your suitcase open.
Cons: You are required to return your key every time you go out of the hotel. They still use actual keys rather than a key card system. It was really annoying. They also didn't check for ID or anything. When you come back they ask you want room number and they just hand over the keys. Very insecure. The car parking isn't too bad. Although they also expect you to hand over your car keys in case they need to move it.

Pros: The hotel was close to everything! The service was great! The owner of the hotel was super nice! She escorted us to a nearby drugstore and helped us find what we needed. This was helpful since we could not read the packaging. She also surprised us with a gift of a matcha tea set! We were so touched by her generosity.
Cons: We would have liked coffee in our room. There was tea but we had to go downstairs for coffee.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff was excellent. Gave us a ride to the train because all taxis were busy and it was raining.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was available and easy to book.
Cons: The hallways were not air conditioned. And it was hot. But that is common.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, good location and staff super helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central Hotel Okayama is a nice hotel, situated a few minutes away from the railway station. The area is very nice and the hotel is just in front of a small and beautiful river. The room was bigger than most other we have stayed in and the bed was very comfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great size room for the price. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the station. You have all the basic amenities (toothbrush, mouthwash, razer, etc) but this must be collected at reception when you want it. You are close to the major sights. It is ultimately a business hotel.
Cons: You have to return your key to the reception when you leave for the day. You then ask for it back upon your return. I was pretty concerned given the security when getting it back. There was never any check to discern whether you are the proper occupant of your room. Nothing unfortunate ever happened, but it left me uneasy. There is a very wide range of attitudes amongst the staff. Some had wonderful smiles and politeness but not really engaging. You had the luck-of-the-draw when it came to your experience with the staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Arround 10min walking to the next JR-Station, 5min walking to 2+ konbinis.
Cons: No coin-operated washing-machines / dryers
7.5 Good
Pros: Highly recommended! The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Okayama station, the room is quite big for Japanese standards, and clean. The front desk is provided with anything you might need, from make up remover to pain curing herbal patch. The staff is more than kind and the restaurant offers a good variety of delicious Japanese meals.
Cons: Check in time is very late: 4 pm The laundry and drying machines are not very clean, but you may use it for free.
7.5 Good
Pros: 10min walking from the train station.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, relatively roomy, cheap
8.3 Excellent
Pros: View from the room Andrzej coffee in lobby
Cons: Nono

9.0 Excellent
Pros: So much attention paid to the details! And lovely to get bath soap etc for free at the reception
Cons: Sadly no onsen - but we knew this. Would've been a good extra to this hotel
6.3 Good
Pros: comfort of room view from our window
Cons: staff were not that welcoming or friendly They spoke very little English. They lacked an key terms you would expect a person at the desk to know. ..and use to direct customers in an unknow city The direction to get to the hotel could be improved
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our best accomodation in Japan so far. Perfect location in vibrating Okayama City, big, clean room, magnificent breakfast!!! And free bike rental whicj unfortunately we couldn‘t use because there were no kids bikes. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel, in other cities you get a dusty dorm bed for that price!!
Cons: We should have stayed longer :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was kind and helpful. The room was very spacious (our largest in Japan) and the bed was comfortable. The massage chair was a nice, relaxing bonus, as were the ceramics and decorations the hallways. We even had a nice little view of the canal. The coin laundry was convenient and also a good value. We liked our room and enjoyed our experience.
Cons: The room and hallway had a little bit of a strange smell. It was tolerable. We used the air purifier in the room, and the front desk provided a lavender oil infuser free of charge. The air conditioning was also difficult to regulate. The thermostat was not accurate or reliable in setting a temperature.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: High Cp of breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location and there is a post office next to it, perfect for us as my kids look for one to send postcards at every stop! Nice buffet breakfast!
Cons: Just all staff can’t speak good English, sometimes hard to communicate.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Second time we stay at this hotel. Conveniently situated at 15 minutes walk from railway station and at another 15 minutes from the famous Korakuen garden. Very good value for money. They provide you with a useful guide to city attractions, also including recommended restaurants: we tried a couple and were were satisfied. Western-style rooms, very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Not all staff at reception understands/speaks English, so sometimes it is difficult to communicate. But they are provided with an automated translator which in our case was quite useful to improve communication.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They had someone at the front desk who could speak English. They also held my luggage before check-in started so I could go around and explore luggage free. There was conditioner and a comfy bed.
Cons: Not really anything. The location could be a bit closer to Okayama station, but it’s close enough, and it’s relatively close to the castle.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is ok, 10-minute walk from the train station. Good selection of breakfast. And clean room with plenty of facilities.
Cons: I booked the room with small double bed, and the bed is really small, too small to fit 2 people. So beware of this when booking, don't let the price fool you.

Pros: The view from the 9th floor room was very nice! It was spotlessly clean with all the facilities you might need. The location directly connected to the station and to aeon mall is also very convenient. There are no elevators to get to the B1 floor which is not so great. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Next to station, great location. Only 1-2km from beautiful gardens. Staff very friendly and lots of food options around. Very nice and comfortable room. Big for Japanese standards
Cons: Breakfast was not included in price and was quite expensive to not include breakfast with the price
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is located just next to the station, nice view from the upper floors room, the staff, cleanliness
Cons: Rooms (even premium) are small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Right beside JR station. Several restaurants around.
Cons: The room space is too small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Less than 3 minutes from the station! The staff are very helpful and friendly.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is at the top of the hotel with a view that overlooks the mountains on one side and city on the other. The view is spectacular. There is a wide range of choices from Japanese to Western and everything was good.
Cons: Bathroom is on the small side so with 2 people we couldn't both keep our toiletry kits in the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: Rooms are a little dated. The hotel bar is very expensive; we didn't appreciated the "assorted snacks" plate which contained stale crisps for 13,000 JPY!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great position tight by the railway station
6.7 Good
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Too tint room
6.5 Good
Pros: I liked that it was attached to the train station.
Cons: The thing I'm actually really upset about is that I booked the hotel because of price and convenience. Then when I was already in my room they said they would charge and extra 2,000 yen for having another person in my room. This is a proper hotel, not some charge by the hour/person. That's why I'm giving it a not so positive review.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic.
Cons: Very tired.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great service~
Cons: Breakfast was not as good as I expected but acceptable. Top floor male bath was not ready in time on morning of my departure day so was a bit disappointed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Reception staff very efficient. Check out time of 11am very helpful
7.9 Good
Pros: Based on experience of many Japanese hotel buffet breakfasts this is a good one. Lots of choice including some fruit. Rooms are compact but perfectly ok. Really convenient for the station. The staff were very helpful with a small problem we had.
Cons: Bathroom is extremely compact and not much space to put things - beware not to let things fall on the floor as they may roll away under the panels never to be seen again!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Location is very comfortable. Its very close to train station. Theres a huge mall right next to it with many restaurants and gourmet food selections. Breakfast buffet of the Hotel is much better than expected. Especially if you like Japanese food. There are some nice photos that give you the idea but when you are actually there you will realize that the choices are much wider and some items are changing so there may be some good surprises waiting for you. Public bath was an amazing experience. It was my first time so I was shy at first but after getting in there I felt amazing. I woke up the next day like a new person full of energy .. and now I dont know how I will continue living my life without it. The rooms are nice, equipped with everything necessary, also flipflops and robes that you can wear in your room and till the public bath. What else can I say .. cant wait till my next visit.
Cons: Just a warning if you book a smoking room which I did by my own mistake. They really do smell cigarette, right from the hallway of the area. I was offered at reception in advance that if I cant handle it I can let them know and they would do an extra cleaning while I leave for dinner or something. It was very kind of them however I didnt use that opportunity but decided to handle it myself with the air purifier and fresh spray they have in the room .. and because I didnt smoke there myself the next day it was much better. Be careful what you book or if you do smoke I suggest you consider the option having a non smoking room and doing your cigarettes outside.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, very close to the JR station.
Cons: N/A
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good for a budget hotel (under $100/night) Fairly kid-proof Allowed bed-sharing with kids, so we had a twin room for a family of four (kids aged 1.5 and 4) Coin-operated laundry facilities available was a bonus Public bath on floor 10 was nice to have Breakfast buffet was good (cost extra) Great location less than 5 min from train station. Walk 5-10 min to get to loads of shopping, restaurants (giant Aeon mall opening next door in Dec 2014), 20 min stroll down busy/fun street to Okayama Castle and Gardens.
Cons: We travelled in November and it was hot, (22 C, around 70 F) but the A/C didn't work. I think they turn it off at a certain point in the year, so setting it at a low temp only blows air around the room. We had to crack the window but it only opens about 3-4 inches for safety reasons. The staff brought us a fan but then housekeeping took it away the next morning and we had to ask for it again. Minor issue but our Japanese was terrible so communication was slightly difficult.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's very convenient located right next to the station. Has a public bath, room although small is just right for overnight stay.
7.9 Good
Cons: Nice, clean but really small room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and easy to find. Staff is nice. WIfi is strong and with enough socket outlets.
