10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an outstanding property. Our room (#9), was huge. The landscaping and upkeep are top rate. Everyone working there was friendly, helpful and very pleasant. This is one of the top places to stay in Thailand. Pai is not a big town and the free, frequent shuttle is very convenient. It's not cheap, but it's a place you want to be.
Cons: Liked it all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service, luxurious villa. Complimentary transport to town.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: What is there to say other than basking in exquisite luxury. Definitely a must for those looking for a peaceful romantic getaway. Our room was a stand-alone cottage with a vaguely Swiss Chalet type of architecture. The bed area was raised, with toilet area off to one side, a step lower, and the "living" area 2 steps lower. The overall effect, although only one room, was of having 3 separate spacious rooms. The living area had a comfortable sofa and a desk off to the side, which was excellent as I was able to use my laptop to catch up on some writing. The TV was of good size but the reception was bad. This was more than compensated, however, by a catalog of DVDs: more than 300 titles, including many which were "family friendly". All you had to do was to write down up to 3 reference numbers, call the front desk, and they were delivered right to your door. Breakfast was on a pre-order basis. We were presented with a checklist that included 4 categories: beverage (coffee/tea + juice), main meal (omelette, bacon and eggs, waffle, rice soup, and a couple of other Thai dishes), toast (white or wheat), and follow-on (yogurt or fresh fruit). The staff also gladly gave me an extra cup of coffee if I asked, all included in the price. The hotel provided a free shuttle to the downtown Pai area which was nice as during the evening, when the night market is in full swing (don't miss it!), it gets very crowded. They even provided a "bubble bath service" (!). All you have to do is to call the front desk, up until 8:30 PM, and a staff member would prepare the outdoors bubble bath for you, water temperature to your specification, with aromatic bath oils. They also lined the bath with candles providing an outrageously romantic setting. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Cons: My wife complained that the Thai breakfast offerings were "not spicy enough" which led me to the conclusion that hotel is more oriented towards foreign guests rather than Thai. My other beef, and I'm sure this is petty, but for the price it seems that the hotel should have provided a swimming pool. Also, of course, the hotel is a bit pricey given the competition in the area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absoulely memorable experience in Pai. The service from the crew was exellent, very considerate in all area. Room was a bit smaller than we expected but very clean, ant and small gecko (if dont mind) were reminding us that we are living in a natuarl enviorment. Meals provided in hotel were great, full of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner were also very nice so that we had several times during our 3 nights stay.
Cons: nothing

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place beside the Pai river. Despite 1 min from walking street is it a very quite location. Very nice people especially for the children. Tasty breakfast. Family with baby Julie and 4 year old girl Marie
Cons: The room and shower were very cold. During the night it gets very cold in Pai during December.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful spot by the river and nice and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: The toilet smelled of sulfur and my friends and I stayed in a triple and the extra bed was hard as a rock.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good, next to river and close to Main Street.
Cons: Bathroom was terrible, water barely warm with low pressure, breakfast very average, amenities average. I stayed at a private room in another hostel before at one third the price and honestly that was way better in every aspect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful hotel next to the river yet only a 2 minute walk to the centre of town Nice pool
Cons: Disappointed that there wasn’t a fridge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Nice location. Good food.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location Very friendly
Cons: Not always warm water
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly staff , cleanliness and amazing breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent - in easy walking distance from the bus station and to the night market. Excellent breakfasts made to order and of a generous size with a lovely view of the river and bamboo bridge. Staff where very friendly. Cocktails where reasonably priced and generous in size compared to others in the area. Pai was very cold at night when I was there in mid-January and the staff made sure I knew where the extra blankets and heater was in my room so I'd be prepared. Pool looked lovely but I hadn't brought a costume to swim. They had towels and floaties for guests to use.
Cons: The showers didn't have hot water - small geyser providing on the cold side of luke warm even on highest gauge and no pressure at all. Having a cold shower in the morning when it's 8 degrees is not a great start to the day. I'm sure, on a hot day, it wouldn't have been such an issue.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything. No complaints at all.
Cons: Leaving ☹️☹️

Pros: Great location, just out of the centre of Town, beautiful views from our room balcony. Very friendly Staff, good Breakfast.
Cons: Can not think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful premises, idyllic. Stunning views of the mountain, the white Buddha and outside rice fields with local farmers attending to their crops. Cherry blossom tree and beautifully nurtured gardens, lovely cactus balcony and amazing breakfrast. Also lovely staff, like a big family. Very queit and peaceful
Cons: Hard cushion on bed, no English speaking cable channel (not a big deal) no shampoo or conditioner in bathroom but still nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved this place, it’s was very tranquil and chilled out. Breakfast was an amazing and the staff were very helpful, we would definitely recommend and have said we would definitely come back.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was out of town in a quiet area with the mountains in the background. The pool was lovely and our ground floor room had a nice little seating area outside.
Cons: The breakfast was lacking any good vegan options.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this place- rooms, breakfast, bathroom. The staff was nice and helpful and there is a free shuttle bus- on request, that will take you to town and back, whenever you want. The swimming pool area is nice to chill out, though water is cold for swimming.
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s a nice place to be, the pool is nice (cold!) but clean. Staff are very keen to get in and clean your room; they replace towels and bedding every day. Easy 10 min walk into town and there is a shuttle or you can rent a scooter (it’s with Dragon Fly Rentals in town), 200 baht per day. 2000 deposit and a copy of your passport. Quite a decent buffet breakfast.
Cons: It was actually quite hard to communicate anything other than the very basics with staff (even that can be difficult) as their English is extremely limited. Whilst I acknowledge that this can sound ethnocentric, these are Thai people in Thailand; however, they’re also working at an hotel that deals with international guests and English is often the common denominator. This made is quite hard to ask even basic things such as: “do you do food?” I asked this one evening and needed to reword it several ways and then gesture.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The pool and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Rooms were basic, but nice and comfortable with good bathrooms. Location is good, close to centre of town without being annoyed by noise or traffic.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good bungalow setup, friendly staff, nice pool, relaxed feeling
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay. The people are super nice, the location is excellent and in the middle of the town. We had a great time exploring the surroundings with the help of the people of the hotel. Just really great.
Cons: The swimmingpool is very cold, this time of year at least. Might be because of the temperatures at night. Bring a sweater and be prepared for a cold dip in the pool.
7.0 Good
Cons: bed was hard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great staff, clean rooms, tea and coffee in room refrigerated, would stay again
Cons: Nothing we loved it
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, amazing room and was very clean. Breakfast was okay. Would have stayed longer but slightly over our budget
Cons: Pool was a bit dirty on our first day, 2nd day it was cleaned though! Daily cleaning would be better to get all the leaves out. Had a noisy german neigbout talking on his deck till gone 11pm but that's his fault for not following the no noise after 10pm rule!

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is fantastic and almost certainly the main reason why this place gets quite a few high ratings, especially from first-time visitors to Pai who know no better. Right next to the river, walking street and main drag of bars.
Cons: My partner and I live in Chiang Mai and have stayed here before, in October 2018, and thought it was average and over-priced then, but as there was a festival on in Pai during our recent visit, and we like to be central, we decided to risk an 'upgrade' to one of the older cottages this time. At £74 per night it wasn't cheap, and we immediately regretted it. There were three people - not guests - lying directly under our balcony and I had to go and ask for them to be moved on. The manager - a British man in his 60s, I would guess - weakly apologised to them and invited them to sit near the pool, despite the fact they weren't guests. It's a very small pool and we decided to give a refreshing post-car-journey dip a miss. The balcony was dirty and the lounger had hair and what looked like bodily fluids on it (see review by Flowerchaser, 14th August 2019). We had to ask for it to be cleaned. When I showered in the evening the water turned ice cold after 3 or 4 minutes... very uncomfortable (see review by Gil, 8th October 2019). There was no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel - not what you expect for £74 per night in Thailand. The Wifi wasn't working when we arrived and although it was briefly fixed it hardly worked during our whole two night stay (see reviews by Melissa on 22nd January 2020 and Toranis on 5th November 2019). In response to the latter complaint about no Wifi connection, the manager wrote: "Just a case of bad timing. The more technically qualified staff have holidays too. Your visit coincided with their annual leave." A pathetic response indicative of his cocky, weak and ineffective management style. I have stayed at another hotel very close to Rim Pai Cottage twice and had no wifi problems at all. Recent reviews on booking.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and location was great!
Cons: The beds were a bit hard to sleep on
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really convenient location to walk the night market. Beautiful view of the river! Nice pool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms in secluded cottages next to Pai river. Lovely, spacious grounds, with lush tropical foliage. Staff went out of their way to be cordial and helpful. Plenty of on-site parking. Night market right outside the property. The positives well-outweigh the negatives.
Cons: Close proximity to loud night market and morning loud speakers from nearby temple. Food is good, but geared to foreign, not local tastes (a negative if looking for authentic Northern Thai flavors).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location at the bottom of walking street. Lovely balconies to sit out on in the River front rooms.
Cons: River front rooms have a fabulous view and brilliant location at the bottom of walking street. Breakfast could be improved for the price but adequate. Lovely swimming pool and gardens.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great space with wonderful staff! Location was right in the main area of the city, walkable to almost everything and the pool view of the river is awesome! They have off street parking for cars and scooters as well.

Pros: They are a very nice family, and very good to us, and our guests! Henry & Siri, (Hang Dong)
6.7 Good
Pros: The pool was very nice The superior bungalow outdoor space was great
Cons: The barking owners dogs didn’t do much for the dinner atmosphere The beds were very hard
6.0 Good
Pros: Water temperature was good and we had a nice view of the pool
Cons: There was no free shuttle as it says on the profile. Dogs owned by the property were obnoxious and barked as guests went past
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bungalow, good size, clean and modern. Nice pool and grounds. Short walk away from town centre means that it is quiet. Rooms are away from main road so are extra quiet.
Cons: Staff at reception a little impolite and not overly helpful. The owners have large dogs that bark loudly as you walk by (they are fenced in though) The bathroom had some plumbing issue, needing to flush toilet twice and the water from the sink runs across the floor and not down it’s own drain. Theses were only minor issues and overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location close to walking street, bed is comfortable
Cons: Cold shower ,no breakfast and room is too small
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I did not eat breakfast there, although it was available. I have stayed here many years, and the hosts are kind, and it is an excellent place for friends to gather on a trip to Pai. Nearby, there is a roadside bar, Thai style, a small eatery, just meters from the (hospital); not that you would it! Comfortable, budget friendly, with a small (cooling) pool. Lot's of trees. Close to (Walking Street), too.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the surroundings and pool. It was very chill and not far from centre
Cons: The WiFi didn’t work at all which made it really hard to book our upcoming trip and contact family/ friends. TV didn’t work. The villa was very tired and didn’t feel extremely clean like shown in pictures
4.0 Okay
Pros: The size of the room.
Cons: The fact that the website says free bicycle for use as well as restaurant and bar facilities. The only bar was a fridge in reception and no restaurant available at night. The bathroom was very old and dirty.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: There is no farm, no animals, and its no quiet place to relax like they suscribe it. Bungalows are stuck together and its in the middle of a bar street
Cons: Bungalow was ok cozy ish but way too many bungalows packed together
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very near the center. The ambient is very nice.
Cons: Many night bars across the street. So in the evening there was loud music untill late in the night. No heating in the room (temperature in the morning about 13 deegres Celsius).
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice place, and the bed is very comfortable, however it is VERY loud at night due to the central location. It’s difficult to sleep and earplugs don’t fully block out the noise. Noise stops just after midnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolute gem of a place. Beautiful. Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful/clean cabins in town. Wonderful staff! Very thoughtful and helpful - even lent me a heater at night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! We had a complimentary bottle of red wine on arrival and a free mini bar for one night so we spent the evening drinking wine on our hammock. Addi was amazing, very approachable and always asking what our plans for the day were. We were very sad he wasnt there to say goodbye to. ALL staff were super friendly though and we were sad to leave. Breakfast was nice. Room cleaned daily and they always lit a nice scent so you came back to a lovely smelling cabin. I highly reccomend this hotel and we will certainly stay again when in pai next.
Cons: You could hear the music from the bars across the river but we had ear plugs and couldnt hear a thing. It is definitely worth staying here as the beds are so comfortable and not hard.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the trees around the room and environment is super good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a cute little cottage, where we had everything we needed (even bath robes). We loved our veranda! The breakfast was also very good and the hotel is located in the heart of Pai! The garden is beautiful!!!
Cons: Everything was awesome. The cottage was maybe a little bit too small but that was not a problem for us.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fast check-in ,we have arrived earlier and were allowed to go to the room right away before the official check in hours which was nice. The location was great, very close to walking street as well as all the nice restaurants, coffee shops, massages and etc. The bungalows are very cozy with super comfortable bed and a very relaxing terrace

9.0 Excellent
Pros: - Beautiful bamboo bungalows with a quite large terrace in front - the bungalow itself was very small (could barely put down to backpacks). Cozy bed. - Located on the "other", quieter side of Pai - cross the river by small bamboo bridge - Clean bathrooms/toilets
Cons: - No mosquito net provided (probably weren't too many mosquitoes anyways as the haze/smoke-situation was out of hand - very thick smog/haze at the time of our stay - don't go there during forest burning season!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place, near to the center without noises. Bungalows and places was cute.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sunrise in the hut. Great location close to the town center.
Cons: Ant road in the bathroom, but that's not that bad.

Cons: Bugs. shower system.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: its in quiet area and not too far from the center.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hut was so cute, had own little bathroom. Although no air con, you do not need this at night as it gets chilly. The nice thick duvet is needed and very cosy. Location great, just a short walk into town. Breakfast was fruit and toast, so good for what you pay. All in all, lovely place to stay in Pai.
Cons: There are a few mosquitoes in the rooms, as it is a hut they can get in very easily. However, there is a mosquito net for this.

Pros: The hotel was one of the most cleanest we saw around our trip in Thailand, so we felt really comfortable the moment we entered. All day/night long you can have free water, coffee and tea plus toast and bananas on a table thats inside the urbanization. The situation of the guesthouse was just perfect, cause it is really close to the walking street/night market, but anyway really quiet at night time, so you will find a good rest. The family whih owned the guesthouse are super friendly and helpful!!!
