Pros: Very beautiful old home with modern rooms added. Great outdoor pool. Delicious breakfast. You won’t be staying in the Victorian house but in the added rooms.

Pros: This is newly renovated small hotel of high quality and great style. Run by amazing family who treats guests like family members. They have great pool, good breakfast and amazing atmosphere. It is cozy, comfortable, good for tourists and business people who need to stop for a night. I recommend it for a family or romantic get away for a couple. It is close to hiking trails of Five Island park, there is a beach nearby, few restaurants with fresh seafood etc.

Pros: Beautiful historic home in a lovely setting. Much attention to the details. Truly a place to feel pampered. They have a chef that will make breakfast. Oh, and pool.

Pros: The setting was beautiful with green gardens and easy to locate. it was so close to Parrsboro shops that we were able to walk to dinner. The Gillespie is generous in its accommodations. We had access to a wonderful living room and tv room which were decorated in period antiques which were so comfortable. The owners were gracious and served a great breakfast. One of the best!!!!!

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Coped well with our jet lagged 4 year old although I don’t think he’s their usual clientele.
Cons: Parrsboro is a bit of a trek on roads that can be a bit rough but making the effort was very worthwhile

Pros: A beautiful and welcoming piece of history! We stayed in Room 12 at the top of the stairs. I was surprised to find a 4-piece bath, including a claw foot tub! Restoration of the property has been done with care and an eye for detail. The location is just a short walk from the quaint downtown area. We stayed in late October and happily encountered an early fall; the colors were incredible.
