Breakfast was good, but not great. They had lots of juice options, pancakes, eggs, cakes, and a few other things. Staff was friendly which was nice. The waterpark is very nice, I can say that my daughter had a great time playing in the pool where the big tilting bucket is. The water temperature was pleasant as well. Pequenopolis is very nice, my daughter had a very nice time playing there - very convenient for the parents. Facilities are nice in general - they have that Colonial look that is very charming. They have a huge water slide that is never crowded - you can pretty much ride it as many times as you want.
I paid the same price all 4 days that I stayed there. Clearly, everything is better on the weekends (dinner, activities, staff availability), and worse on the weekdays (even on Sunday nights, for example). Especially Sunday night dinner, I was disappointed - my daughter skipped dinner after looking at the food. Beverages are also very expensive and they only give you a bucket of ice to keep your drinks cool if you purchase three beers or more. The children's playground (Pequenopolis) closes for lunch and dinner breaks during the week (but obviously not on the weekends). At the children's water slide, there was no one present watching during the week - only on the weekends (it is pretty high up there for a child to slide down on their own). The weekend's children's activities are really just a couple of "1 hour" activities at best. Before going, I had the impression that they would be much more elaborate. The rooms were clean, but very old and small. I had a baby stroller and found it difficult to get around the property (especially on my way back into the room). Reception service takes forever; checkout time takes a while, and also checkin time is very brief (they never gave me the wifi password, never explained much about anything even though it was my first time staying there). There was a ramp that went to building 300 (where we stayed), you have to go through the restaurant. After the weekend, they closed the doors and we could not get through. The pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm, with the exception of one that closes at 8pm. There was NEVER anyone at the "wet bar" by the pool. Also, lunch is not served at the pool, only some low quality bar food. Even if you choose to go to the restaurant it is a very expensive all you can eat buffet. At a minimum, they should remove "Resort" from the name. My opinion is that they need to lower the price, and improve the service - then it would be fair.
When I checked in, I told them I was vegan. For dinner, the chef prepared something delicious. The chef always made sure my dinners were awesome.
When breaksfast time came, I expected to eat something other than only fruits, and that was all that was available to me, despite them knowing there was a vegan in the hotel. I asked for something and they took over half an hour to give me the worst tapioca ever. The second and third breakfast were a lot better as the chef got involved. I asked to speak to the hotel manager 3 times, and he not once came.
Property was great! Quiet, well take care, kids area is awesome.
The only thing I didn’t like was the cold water but I bet on warmer days it won’t be a problem.
It is a great place to get away from the city. Waterpark, comfortable rooms, breakfast and dinner included. Perfect mix of relaxation and fun with the nearby waterfalls.
