10.0 Excellent
Pros: We made a very last minute booking for Yara and we are so happy we choose this place. Richard was very welcoming and helped turn our day around after a horrible stay at a "resort". Yara was quiet and clean. The rooms are a nice size and the breakfast was so yummy. We ever found the perfect piece of art for a vacation souvenir for the local art gallery at the check in area. Thank you again Richard for being so kind and helpful.
Cons: We have nothing but great things to say about Yara.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s very cozy and cute
Cons: It’s a bit far from the main town and need a taxi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, plentiful breakfast. Good location close to MA park and beaches! Some other hotels in the area might be closer and/or have beach views, but Plaza Yara will be hard to beat for the price and amenities!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s absolutely beautiful. Our back patio area had a view of the rain forest. We enjoyed watching the spider monkeys in the trees. There are two pools. Both beautiful. The staff, especially Richard, were wonderful. Personal tour of the facilities when we arrived. Parking was easy as was check in. Best hotel stay yet in Costa Rica.
Cons: Nothing to note
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The staff, the decoration, the spacious rooms, the organization, breakfast, silence, the jungle, pools. Excellent for families.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Faultless - great location, friendly staff, super clean, good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The balcony, the cleanings, the friendly staff. Also the shower is also very nice though it didn't really show on the photos. The room is very large and comfy, and the view from balcony is so nice. The pool is well maintained, the patio is so nice to relax. The breakfast is also delicious. Definitely recommend to stay at Manuel Antonio. BTW the art gallery is very nice too.
Cons: Some comments say that it's noisy bc close to the main roads. It's true it's close, but we didn't find the sound bothering. It feels just like some hollow sound from very far away. So we wouldn't say this is an issue to us. Other than this, everything is perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We love the hotel! It is perfect in every way and we were sad to leave. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we will not hesitate to stay at the same hotel! BTW, Puppy Yara is adorable!
6.8 Good
Pros: Its was artsy.
Cons: The bed was not comfortable at all, actually woke up sore. It was very hard and only had a sheet, not a bed you can relax on and sleep well on a vacation. The room had a "humid" smell.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful property with friendly, responsive and helpful staff. Roger is a gem. He's engaging, helpful and professional. After dealing with the crowds of Manuel Antonio, we asked him for suggestions for a quieter, more secluded beach. He recommended Playa Biesanz, a hidden and lightly-visited beach that is perfect in every way. There are lounges and umbrellas to rent and if felt safe. Our room in the hotel was spacious, quiet and had a nice view of the terrace and jungle from our balcony. The pool area is lovely. We appreciated the location of the hotel, ie. the fact that it's not in Quepos, which is something of a dump. We were proximate to any number of great eateries and bars.

Pros: It has a really cool vibe to it. The staff that works here is also top notch. They were very friendly and responsive. Seeing the monkeys and the sloth at the pool bar was cool too!
Cons: This place is not cheap. Be prepared to drop some cash during your stay. Also, the water pressure is not great in the shower. Outside of these two things...we loved our time here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views. The pool was amazing. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. There were many great restaurants nearby. The marina was great for food

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent 2 nights in this hotel and it was truly one of the best hotels we have ever meen to. We were on our honeymoon so we took the room with the private pool and it was stunningly gorgeous! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the property is beautiful! Definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica’s forests with the view of the beach. Food was excellent and just walking around the hotel was so relaxing and beautiful. Thank you for the amazing 2 days spent there!
Cons: Nothing :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is absolutely stunning. The ocean view, edgeless pools, staff, food, drinks, rooms, and service are amazing!
Cons: Not one thing
6.8 Good
Pros: + Beautiful grounds and view from room and pool + Got a free unrequested upgrade to ocean view room! - thanks! + Room was big, huge bathroom, gorgeous views to jungle/ocean + The girl in the breakfast restaurant was attentive and kind; the guy operating the golf cart was really attentive and sweet as well
Cons: - Hotel rules optimize operation over experience: for example, beach towels need to be checked out and returned to reception (can't be picked by maid in room, $75USD charge for lost towels), breakfast closes at 9.30am, room service closes at 8.30pm - all of which is clarified upon check in, to avoid complains later, nonetheless - Hotel staff was worst in all of our Costa Rica experience: for example, receptionist used lewd language to explain why towels need to be checked at reception and why they charge you $75USD if you lose one ("rich people don't give a f#$k, and lose them if we don't have a penalty) - sushi "chef" Roberth Vega was rude when requested to stop putting cheese cream in the roll, aloof towards the customers, and kept having a personal conversation with the barman while making the roll - he probably had the worst attitude we've encountered after hundreds of stays in resorts across the world... a new low for sure. Don't ask him for anything if you don't want to be given a sour face and annoyed attitude as a result - The hotel has steep inclination from/to rooms and poo/restaurant, and the surface is slippery when wet. If you don't want to risk a fall, don't go in rainy season, call/wait for the golf cart (doesn't operate if raining when going to the beach, btw - because of the slippery surface), or go somewhere else - Worst sushi roll ever tried: tasteless, ingredients pulled from fridge, huge amount of rice... if you've ever had a semi-ok sushi roll, prepare for disappointment or lower your expectations - it was also overpriced, by world standards... - We do not recommend this hotel, especially not at the prices they charge - - - others reviewed the staff as awesome, we might be the most unlucky people on the planet, or the service is inconsistent... in whichever instance, bring low expectations, or at least know you might be rolling the dice.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It’s was pet friendly, and staff was good to her..
Cons: No compliants.. liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful, we love the architecture a lot - 5 stars- , the rooms very spacious and clean. The staff very nice and kind. They help me out to get a perfect setting for my engagement, so with this I can tell you everything. You must try the Benedict eggs, we love it.
Cons: I wish they would have provided candles when the lights went out but aside from that, everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was delicious, views were spectacular, grounds beautiful, staff amazing, everything very clean. Makanda exceeded our expectations. Hope to be back one day!
Cons: We only had 4 nights here and wanted to stay forever! Will say you need proper shoes because to get around the property it’s very steep inclines but not a problem for us. One thing we wished they had was a gym.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The villa was absolutely amazing The staff treated us like royalty
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool area is beautiful Hotel in the nature Excellence service
Cons: Value for the Money, Zoo expensive No good Access to the sea, Beach is okay No Access to the spa without a separate treatment

Pros: I liked the concierge and general service, and also swimming pools, free fruit skewers, excellent coctails;)
Cons: I didnt like being bitten by mosquitoes but I guess the hotel cant do anything about it;)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The pool area is nice. The staff is very helpful.
Cons: The hotel is adults only but not the restaurant which is open to outside guests. Therefore you had kids screaming and running around even at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was outstanding! The service was the best, they took good care of us. The hotel is beautiful, views are awesome. Food was excellent, we ate there for all our dinners there for our convenience and everything was delicious! Hotel shuttle to the beach was easy to do, they were always on time. Highly recommend this hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool. In a nice quiet location.
Cons: Food, room for improvement
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Surrounded by nature monkeys sloths macaws etc right outside your room...... incredible views from restaurant great pools and attentive staff and owner.
Cons: Food is a bit hit and miss but owner was happy to replace or exchange or not charge for anything we didn't think was perfect. To be fair though you are not there for the food...... it's the natural beauty that's the focus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding in every respect. The staff was the most professional and service minded than any I have ever witnessed. World Class at every level!
Cons: Having to leave.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is super recommended, we had a blast. We were super well attended from Ricardo(the bellman), to Andres (the concierge) who was always on the call to serve us and reccomend us only the best places in Manuel Antonio to Jhon and Jhonny in the restaurant who provided incredible service. The food in the hotel is a bit pricy compared to the local restaurants but there is no comparisson in the quality. You are definitely in for a treat A++++ to the cheff! The papaya soup and the coated Tuna, out of this world! Our wet bathingsuits were dried and folded every night, an amaizong touch! Thank you guys for a great get a way!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Very quaint luxurious accommodation and the best restaurant in town!!!
6.8 Good
Pros: Location was private and shuttles were provided to go to the beach and parks.
Cons: For the high cost paid for breakfast, food items were poor, fruits especially on display were rotting. Options were limited for buffet and request for more bread were charged extra. Bathroom architecture and design of the hotel were oddly laid out and inconvenient. Vanities had little space for toiletries. Our bedroom had no windows and the 2nd floor loft did not have views of the ocean and scenery was mostly blocked.

Pros: Friendly staff. Well kept gardens. Nice location
Cons: Room was a little noisy at night due to the air conditioning fans attached to our wall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff helped me get my phone back that I left in a shuttle. Loved the landscaping, good breakfast, quiet room. The staff also helped me get a great tour guide for the national park. Would not have saw anything without him. Beach is just a 5 min walk at most.

Pros: Great breakfast, friendly stuff. Highly recommend to visit the park with their guide (Roy). Great beach(if you are lucky you can see sloths there). Nice recommendation for dinner(Baldi’s fresh) You can see monkeys in the morning during your breakfast :)
Cons: It is not possible to have lunch or dinner, but they have good recommendations and there are a lot of possibilities in short walking distance.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Lovely swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Wildlife and monkeys in the trees around the hotel grounds.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location between beach and park and good facilities for a very fair price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manager, Ronny was very hospitable, he helped us get around the two cities a lot, by giving us good recommendations of places to go and eat. The breakfast was amazing at this hotel, very clean, and the breakfast staff played a huge role in this. The location of this hotel is so central to everything! The Manuel Antonia park, and the beach. Both a 5 minute walk. There are shuttles that come every 15 minutes to take you to quepos, and it’s very cheap and easy to get to (about a 5 minute walk from the hotel as well). Overall we had a great experience, and had a lovely time in Manuel Antonio. Highly suggest it.

Cons: TV didn’t work, but didn’t need it.

Pros: We loved the wildlife! Waking up to monkeys, tropical birds, and being greeted by large iguanas was the highlight of our stay at this resort. The price was also great for what we got and it’s location. The wait staff was excellent and the drinks were strong. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for good value at a place they will feel secure.

Pros: We loved the jungle like atmosphere. We shared the space with macaws, agouti ‘a and Iguana’s. The pool was refreshing and the bar and restaurant staff very friendly
Cons: The rooms were very musty and damp. There is black mild in the bathrooms. The area is extremely humid and while we understand that, we believe something can be done to control this.

Overview Reviews
Boutique Hotel Located in Manuel Antonio, one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica, amazing views from all our suites and personalized service to all our guests. We are an adults only property, a relaxing stay is guaranteed
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was just incredible! Panorama view of the ocean (and sunset) overlooking the jungle. Randy's cocktails were superb, especially at sunset time. Amazing pool and sunlounge area with great views, excellent pool but the show was definitely stolen by a monkey invading the premises, stealing sugar packets off the table and another just taking a walk around the sun lounge area and having a little dip in the pool. This is a boutique hotel so not crowded, which is exactly what we had hoped for A couple of beaches are just a short walk away.
Cons: The dinner unfortunately really lets this place down. The tuna was excellent but everything else was overcooked. This would have been tolerable because of the nice surroundings if it had not been for the extortionate prices. Meat or fish dishes average around $30 per single dish with many exceeding that considerably. One night, the waiter recommended the daily special which was locally caught fish (seabass with 3 prawns). Given the overall high prices I expected this to cost around $30, price was not stated on the menu or by the waiter, (even so locally caught fish is always one of the less expensive options) and I was shocked to see the price on the bill was $55! I questioned this with the waiter but got no reaction.. The next day we went for dinner at the hotel just 2 minutes down the road (Shana Hotel) and dinner was not only cooked to perfection and relatively reasonably priced, we also got favours from the kitchen (including a very tasty tiramisu).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is at a great location, very close to the beach! It has a spectacular view from the rooms straight to the ocean. A great place to stay!
Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: literally everything
Cons: the water in the shower was either scorching hot or freezing cold. Other than that, nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing!!! The rooms, the food, the view everything! We stayed for 3 nights I wish we'd stayed longer, not only did we have an amazing room etc but when we we're lying around the pool there were monkeys an array of birds and a sloth! It was just amazing would recommend this hotel to anyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, spa services, view, room with hot tub
Cons: The toilet in the room isn’t well isolated and could have ore privacy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view ! Food was excellent, worth every penny. Staff is very friendly and helpful, specially Alexander! He made sure we were happy the entire time. The beds were so comfy , my husband wanted to bring one home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Issimo is a lovely boutique hotel. Guests are greeted with a complimentary cocktail and refreshing cold face towel. The staff is attentive and professional. All the large rooms have a spa tub and great views. The complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, cheese coffee is great. We dined both nights in the open air restaurant with ocean views; the food was beautifully presented & delicious. The outdoor pool and deck have ocean views and the spa massage was wonderful. We booked a rafting trip with the concierge and were very pleased. Issimo Suites is owned by a charming Italian family; the menu & attention to detail reflect their desire to pamper guests. I would highly recommend it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great views and great staff.
Cons: We consider it was somewhat pricey (for example, the restaurant at the hotel for 2 goes up to USD$70 without drinks) considering what a small hotel offers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The photos online don't really do it justice, you must be present to get the full experience. We were greeted with drinks and cold towels, walked in to a room with a view of the water and garden area - I felt like I was outside but protected by a window. The shower and inroom spa tub was amazing to use while looking out the window that spanned an entire wall. The food was amazing everyday and the staff, I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were kind, attentive, and helpful. We took a chance and didn't book any activities until we got there, totally out of our norm, however, every single tour (3) the hotel booked for us also exceeded our expectations. If you're in the MA area, stay here!!!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small personal attention was great. Very clean throughout.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked this place. It was a great get away. The staff was tremendous.
10.0 Excellent

I will definitely go back. Excellent villas, amazing views of pacific ocean, serene sunset, immersed in nature, monkeys and birds around you and privacy is superb.
Cons: I only stayed 4nights. I wished i could stay longer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous view, private beach, spacious room, lush green landscape
Cons: A few little things here and there: pillow isn’t very good, there is an air con right on top of your head, when you call the van you get to ride with stuff who thinks visitors don’t speak spanish and use foul language, you get served some unripe avocados...just little things keeping this place away from perfect

Cons: Thicker curtains would be beneficial in the tree top dome room, as the sun rose so early it made it harder to sleep past 5am! Also the addition of sun loungers by the pool would be great :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious but we were a little disappointed that there were no other meals available. The staff was very helpful and accommodating when helping us find places to eat and activities to do.
Cons: We had a strange insect problem in our room but the staff took care of it immediately .

Pros: Monkey were so fun to watch as well as many birds. The food was wonderful and had such a variety. The carts and staff were so helpful!
Cons: It was not clear how much difficulty there would be driving to the property or walking down to the beach. There were broken support ropes that would have made it somewhat easier.
7.4 Good
Pros: The pool and the view were great.
Cons: The quality of the breakfast buffet could be improved and the restaurant in general is overpriced.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff,. Beautiful surrounding s, comfortable room with excellent shower
Cons: Pool closed a bit too early and needed taxi to get to restaurant and attractions
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Bedroom and bathroom were very large. The bar, pool, and restaurant staff were very helpful. There is a great secluded beach a short hike below the hotel
Cons: Lumpy bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the rooms was awesome. The staff and their service was outstanding, always willing to help. Its a tremendous value for money. It has an access to an almost private beach.
Cons: If there is one thing that needs any improvement, its the size of the bathrooms. They are a bit small, but is not a dampener.

Pros: Thank you to Shana for making my birthday extra special. This is a fabulous place to spend your time in Manuel Antonio
Cons: Everything was great

Pros: Clean, big room
Cons: Breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic and helpful staff. They go out of their way to assist you, greet you and make you feel welcome during your entire stay. Wonderful restaurant at the edge of the rain forest.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful, lush & elegant and the staff was so accommodating and friendly!
Cons: We stayed in Room 120, the 3 bedroom suite with a personal infinity pool. The suite was HUGE and beautiful, but it’s right under the kitchen. Every morning between 5:30-6am we were woken up by the kitchen staff dropping things and banging pots and pans while they were getting ready for the day. Instead of being able to sleep in and relax, it’s a jarring way to wake up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, accommodating staff, location is amazing! We loved the convenience of the resort and the layout. Beach was in a hidden little cove with a beautiful sand & rock beach.
Cons: Food was pricey and OK
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was always very helpful. We had massages and facials which were incredibly relaxing. Our dinner at the hotel restaurant was the best meal of our trip. And the private beach access was a wonderful addition to the hotel pool. Not to mention all the wildlife that you get a front row seat to!!
2.8 Mediocre
Cons: The wifi was constantly failing. Prices for the spa and bar were outrageous. Broken elevators. RAYBAN POLARIZED SUNGLASSES WERE STOLEN FROM OUR ROOM!!!!!! Manager was in disbelieve, not returning calls, we spend the rest of our trip trying to get in contact/ waiting for a resolution or at least a call back and they never did!!! Now we call from The states and the "manager" won't come to the phone, very unpleasant staff stated that they are not able to give guests more information about management. Sadly our sunglasses were stolen and nothing was ever done about it. A lot of better options around the area for a lower price.

Pros: Lovely setting with a friendly staff.
Cons: More variety on daily breakfast. Menu was the same every day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great experience staying here! Loved the room, I was right in the middle of the jungle! Beautiful scenery, great staff and the restaurant was fabulous! Will come back!
Cons: Nada!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There were so many animals around the property. We had monkeys right outside of our room! The balcony of our bungalow was a perfect place to relax. They even upgraded two of our standard rooms to two bungalows for no extra charge!
Cons: nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from our bungalow into the jungle garden. We could watch monkeys, a sloth, red aras, agutis and more from our own balcony. The room was large and comfortable with a big bed. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.
Cons: Karaoke night at the Jolly Roger's bar Leaving
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The grounds
Cons: The grounds Where amazing. We saw a white faced monkeys all over the trees in the resort as well as a sloth. The pool was amazing the setting was very tropical. The only downside was the beds were not very comfortable. Other than that it was a beautiful place and I would strongly recommend
7.0 Good
Pros: The wildlife, monkeys and parrots and beautiful rainforest surrounding the resort. The staff at the Z Bistro - always friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Distance from airport (3+ hours) and the cost involved in getting to resort ($150-$170) - it is the cost of two days at the resort. The resort offers the most expensive transport. The Wifi reception was bad to nonexistent
7.5 Good
Pros: we liked nothing, to the extent that we left the hotel the next day and moved elsewhere . However the staff was lovely, very accommodating and trying to help.
Cons: Well, what should have alerted me was the receptionist taking the full payment prior we were checked in, had we seen the room we would have not paid; the hotel is very old and tired; definitely doesn't suit to families with children, in my opinion the sports bar that is a part of the hotel is noisy, we were told that it would be noisy over the weekend, i can't imagine what it would have been like since it was quite noisy on a week day we stayed there our windows overlooked the main road and the parking lot-not very exciting at all we were so disappointed that we didn't even try the breakfast the next morning and instead went looking for an alternative
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! What a great place! Loved it!!
Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort that allows you to see the local wildlife from your porch! Very clean! Staff was so very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend
Cons: The only thing was the bed was a bit harder than I am used to.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is very green, it will allow visitors to immerse in the Costa Rican forest. The view from the bungalows was spectacular, even during a rainy day.
Cons: The recycling bins were full of trash, so sustainability wise, the hotel could do better (same goes with certain toiletry items).

Pros: Amazing location if visiting Manuel Antonio, staff, clean!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location and helpful staff. Rooms are simple, clean and relatively modern.
Cons: Walls are thin, so hope you don't have noisy neighbors. Road noise can be bad in front rooms, BUT they moved us to a better, quieter room near the back of the property when we complained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The site was perfect, the staff friendly and helpful and the pool was amazing!
Cons: 9$ for a slice of cake for my birthday, and she didn’t tell me the price before serving it. Not cool at all :(
6.8 Good
Pros: Location close to national park entrance but in a congested area without buffers to the congestion.other hotels nearby more secluded from noise and congestion.
Cons: Very noisy. Restaurant staff unfriendly. Restaurant too expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Well located. Nice size rooms.
Cons: I had no view. But I booked late. Restaurant expensive. Especially breakfast. Should be discounted for guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I can't believe the size of the closet. So easy to unpack and store things.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't included but wasn't that great anyway.
4.3 Okay
Pros: We didn't enjoy our stay here very much. The hotel is old and really basic and the decor is bad. The pool looks great in the pictures but in reality is in the middle of the hotel and there is no view from it. The only good things about this hotel are: proximity to the national park & the food. In fairness the dinners and drinks we had here were WONDERFUL and probably one of the best in Costa Rica. The lunch you can buy to take into the national park is awful and SO over priced. Do not buy it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great staying here. The day after we checked in we went to playitas and when we were too hot we came back to a room that had been neatly cleaned and they even turned the ac on for us! The bed was also giant and extremely comfortable. It was one of the best places we have stayed in Manuel Antonio!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very good location
Cons: I got a noisy room above the restaurant

Pros: Great location right at the entrance to the state park.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Las instalaciones les falta mantenimiento
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! Within walking distance to Manuel Antonio park as well as restaurants and stores. The included breakfast was delicious! And its served right on the deck with a beautiful view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also great to be able to park our car there throughout the stay and visit to Manuel Antonio.
Cons: In the pictures you can't tell how steep the hill is leading up to the hotel and different buildings. It is very steep. We were fine with it, but it's something to consider for travelers that can't easily walk up and down the hill. There are golf carts that you can ride in, you just have to wait a few minutes for a staff member to come get you. I wouldn't say it's a negative thing, we would definitely stay here again, just something to consider that there is a big hill to walk to and from the hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was really good, except there were alot of flies. The location was excellent if you are going inside the Manuel Antonio park. Erick at the front desk is superb! He was very helpful.
Cons: The floors in the room and bathroom were awful. They were painted black and were sticky.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The music in the new elevators could be a bit quieter!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great and we were so happy. The hotel style (Modern) was awesome, also the two pools improve the time in the hotel at the end of the day. Thank you for everything.
Cons: I like everything.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good service
Cons: The room was a death trap
6.3 Good
Pros: The property’s location is its greatest asset. You are extremely close to the National Park, which includes Manuel Antonio beach. I was even driven there in one of the El Faro golf carts. The view is stunning! Food is decent and simple. I only had the breakfast which has a few options but are good for a quick meal before a day of excursions. Staff members are willing to assist you.
Cons: The rooms could be cleaner. The floor of the rooms are black, but in my room, they were a discolored brown. There were some stains on the wall. The layout of rooms are a bit odd too, leaving a small Space between your bed and a wall to move around. When I first checked in, the towels had some stains on them. My phone also didn’t work for the duration of my stay, so I couldn’t ask for them right away. Also, the shower had a leak because as soon as I finished up my first shower there was a small pool of water right next to the shower. I informed the front desk about the towels, phone, and shower but none of these things were fixed. However, my stay was only 2 nights, but important items like a phone working I think would be crucial to a guest’s safety. The trek down the stairs could get a bit tiring after lots of traveling, but you’re likely to run into some staff member on a golf cart to take you up or down the hill.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The view was spectacular. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The food was excellent. The pool was great. And the locations was also excellent.
Cons: The stairs were fine but could be a problem for some. And the rooms were narrow and tight, bit a decent value considering the location.
6.8 Good
Cons: Alberto Sunna is perhaps one of the most unqualified people I have ever met to run a front desk at a hotel. This is the first time I have written a negative review in my life, but I felt compelled to inform others of the incredibly poor experience I had because of Alberto's inability to relate to our situation or use empathy in his daily job. If I owned this hotel, I would seriously consider reassigning him to a different area where he could be more impactful or less damaging to the business (not customer-facing). After informing him that we did not have running water or wifi in our room, he seemed to be almost bothered by my comments. He actually claimed that the lack of running water "is not a relevant complaint because it happened yesterday and we did not report it until the following day." I could not believe this way of thinking or that this person was employed in the customer service industry. In addition, he denied our claim that we did not have wifi in our room because he had the technician run a diagnostics test. I let him know that I was not concerned with the overall technical status of the wifi in the building, but instead, I was disappointed that it was not REACHING our ROOM. He was very upset by this and called me a liar. I invited him to my room so that he could see for himself. He said he would come up to see, but he never did. At one point he threatened to call the police if we continued to call him. I have never had to deal with a more incompetent and customer service professional in my life. I asked him repeatedly for his boss's number, but he would dance around the topic and ultimately never gave me the number even though I asked several times. I could not believe this. I hope his boss will read this comment and see what is really going on in his/her hotel. If you would like to discuss this horrible incident, I would be happy to speak about it. Thank you. 818-633-3711 (USA)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! About 25m from the Manuel Antonio park entrance. Rooms were different and comfortable. The view was amazing!
Cons: The room where we stayed at was below the restaurant and we heard people steps and a lot of table and chair moving.

Pros: Staff were great

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel in a jungle setting with friendly helpful staff and nice pool to cool off in. Very well placed for restaurants and Manuel Antonio National Park.
Cons: A little noisy at times as it’s close to road, but all hotels in the area are the same as there is only one road along this stretch of coast. Didn’t effect us too much.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and the staff very nice and helpful.
Cons: I would have like a bit more breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool, parking, a/c. Falling asleep to raindrops on ceiling and waking up to monkeys howling. Staff was great. Very nice experience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the property was great. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and Manuel Antonio National Park. Waking up in the morning to monkeys everywhere was wonderful. Adrian at the front desk was great! Helped us with tours and with transportation back to the airport.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were all very much on their own and the wildlife viewing was impeccable from each of the rooms!
Cons: Breakfast on Monday was not good value for money. Monday is obviously a down day for Manuel Antonio in general but service within a hotel should remain the same.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to beach, excellent breakfast, very nice staff, more wild life around the hotel than Manuel Antonio park.
Cons: Shower heads
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Monkeys & sloth in the trees!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, felt like we were in the jungle. The staff were super helpful and the room comfortable enough.
Cons: I couldn’t find the hot water for a shower and whilst I loved the hotel it is fairly basic for the price you are paying.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: the location. really close to where we wanted to go. close to restaurants and national parks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel manager Julio was great and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love it. Great and unique experience with monkeys surrounding the hotel's trees
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park is nice. Breakfast is decent. Monkeys are all over their property so be aware of your belongings and food when eating breakfast on site. Nothing too overwhelming, they're fine, but just a heads up.
Cons: I didn't like the location of my room within their hotel. It was right by the pool/cafeteria area, so it is very noisy. The bedroom floor was a bit dirty with sand. Bed sheets to cover yourself were too thin. No window or fan on the bathroom, so all the steam and bad odors get trapped within the bedroom. When I made the reservation it said on the confirmation that I would have to pay 50% of the stay at arrival but it didn't specify it would have to be cash. When I got there, they told me they only accept cash payments. So be aware to have enough money on you when checking in at their hotel.

Pros: The receptionist went above and beyond to help me with travel plans. Great service provided!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for your money. The person in the front desk was great and the room clean and big, for the money you pay you get more than you expect.
6.3 Good
Pros: Property is nice
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t good at all.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The staff was very friendly The rooms are quite spacious
Cons: An iguana was making a neat on top of my ceiling tiles and kept me up all night. The rooms are dark - they hardly get any natural light and have very few and very dim lights. Breakfast fruit helpings were very small (literally an inch of papaya, two slices of banana, and a triangle of watermelon)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good; I was able to make my own coffee in the early morning; the staff was helpful and very friendly; I enjoyed the well-done conversion of shipping containers into compact lodging. It is far enough from the main drag to be peaceful, close enough for a cheap taxi ride.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The pool were pretty
Cons: The room was not clean, there was a bugg in the shower. No hot water. Breakfest was just eggs and fruits. Bad Hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff was really pleasant, the breakfast was good, rooms are clean, modern and big. The hotel has 5 swimming pools and very charmful garden. Really good value for the money! And family friendly! I recommend it!
Cons: Room without outdoor window was big, beautiful and clean, but it was a little bit scary. But they change it when we ask for it with no problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean. The property looked nice (lots of swimming pools). Staff was really nice.
Cons: The floor outside can be slippery after rain.
5.0 Okay
Pros: For one night ok.
Cons: The room was located near the main street and it was dark and muggy, like in a cellar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pools, great breakfast, friendly staff, quiet and peaceful.
Cons: I didn't dislike anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We originally booked a standard room for two nights. When we arrived, we were told that we were upgraded to a deluxe room for the same price. By the end of the second day, we were not yet tired of the beach and found the staff so helpful that we decided to stay an extra night. We even got to stay in the same room for the same price! The place really has it all, except an ocean view; it has nice rooms, a good restaurant, and a pool.
Cons: Like most restaurants in the area, the food costs more than it seems like it should. That being said, it is easy (and cheap) to get on the bus to go to Quepos to frequent a "soda."

Pros: Everything was absolutely stunning!
Cons: Beach transportation was a bit lacking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, great hiking ground in the jungle, access to nearby beach, good restaurant with great staff Gabriel and Glenn, nearby national park
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location great staff ; very spacious apartment
Cons: Breakfast could have started earlier given early morning tours
5.5 Okay
Pros: The restaurant and restaurant staff were amazing! Food was great. Lots of options. Very accommodating and we loved this the best of our whole hotel experience.
Cons: The non private feeling of having elevators that open up to the inside of your room was very unsettling to me. The staff also had their own door into the room that we couldn’t lock. No way to use a “do not disturb option. Severytimes we pressed the button for an elevator and it opened to the inside of our room and there were random strangers there as the doors opened. At one time they lost power and we didn’t have a stair option to use alternatively to get to our room. We booked and were charged extra for a “panoramic ocean view” we either didn’t get the right room which had more views of the back of neighboring restaurants and loud construction going on out side of the window. The kids rooms were right in eye sight of local businesses and street level people dispute being on a higher level floor. We were told on arrival that the pool had “free drinks both alcoholic and non between the hours of 11-12noon.” After ordering drinks for several days we were notified that not ALL drinks were covered under the free umbrella. Only “the chosen drink of the day...” We also arranged airport transportation and we had a problem with our flight and even tried to cancel the room, which the informed us was non cancellation and non refundable...they knew we weren’t going to be there and sent the transportation anyway and charged us for it even though we were quite late getting in and missed the arranged transportation. The pool area did t have enough lounge chairs and the heated the hot tub all day and turned off in the evening at 6 (so just when you’d like to get in) though the pool area was opened 24/7. The evenings when the pool was open it was VERY poorly lit and didn’t feel safe at all in the dark. They were terrible at getting rooms cleaned in a acceptable time frame. We were out for hours at breakfast and the pool and would still catch the cleaning staff in the room. We constantly had 1/2 cleaned rooms, beds not made and missing towels.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are huge and the grounds are great to see animals.
Cons: Kitchen could have been better equipped. Staff was nice but not above and beyond.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was first-class, fresh, delicious and interesting! Local fruit, buffet items, eggs and grilled items to order and pancakes in the shapes of animals, birds, fish. The chef and all the staff were amazing! Local was great - monkeys and birds visible nearby all day.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stafff was wonderful, Jonathan, Fabio, Gabriel, Lenny, Darling
Cons: Room key didn’t work so didn’t know we had access to our second room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent. Beautiful views from the pool. Lovely sunsets. Very spacious living space.
Cons: Private beach had no surf.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Giant luxurious and very clean apartment with a mesmerising sea view. Also plenty of wildlife in the gardens (monkeys, sloths, macaws). Large fridge with icemaker and free water. Good standard of breakfast. Pool area beautiful with a free cocktail in the morning. We were pleased to be able to walk to nearby restaurants easily. The hotel also helped us organise an excellent afternoon excursion in Manuel Antonio National Park.
Cons: The walk to the beaches closeby was very muddy and strenuous, which is alright if you are aware of it beforehand (we weren't).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nature around
Cons: The beach didn't have the commodities (umbrella, good chairs) that matched the rest of the service

Pros: The staff was very friendly. I wish we had gone during the om season because a lot of the things we planned to do weren’t open and the weather wasn’t too great.
Cons: The breakfast was fruit and toast, which we were not expecting.

Pros: We saw more animals in the Mango Moon grounds and trees than we saw in the national Park. Great facilities. Wonderful sunset views. Would stay again. Don't miss cocktail hour
5.1 Okay
Pros: Gentleman staffing the hotel on 3/10/17 was very helpful and we appreciated his attentiveness. Hotel has great view of ocean.
Cons: not a great experience and most of staff/management not helpful. Will not stay there again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room is breathtaking. We spend a lot of the time in the pool overlooking the ocean and rainforest. We were greeted by countless birds and monkeys in the morning. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The free breakfast is limited continental but you can order more from the menu.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The views
Cons: The woman at the front desk was not nice. It said it came with breakfast, but it was just a small plate of fruit. The room was run down and smelled like mold the beds, bedding, towels etc were all old and gross. The towels were actually ripped. We will not go there again, for the money we could have gotten a much nicer place. It says pet friendly but is not when we arrived we were told put black lab was too large, we had to argue for thirty minutes after driving 5 hours to stay there. The WiFi didn’t work
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ramon ,Sila and George were amazing! They assisted with every need or question!!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room 3 had the most exquisite views. Thank you for sharing it with us.
