The service by the owners were excellent. I have never stayed in a place where it was such a pleasure to stay in. Not your typical hotel but I would stay here again anytime. Loved it.
The only thing we asked for and it was provided was a small table to put our stuff on it such as phone, wallet etc. It was quickly provided.
Very friendly welcome to a high standard, spotlessly clean and very comfortable property. The location is ideal being very close to Ribiera and transport yet tucked away from a Main Street. The owners have thoughtfully provided reading material in different languages on Porto and the surrounding area. The breakfast was a delight to experience, carefully prepared, with the emphasis on delicious local produce.
The most welcoming owners - - they could not have helped us more - - gave us great recommendations!! The location is absolutely perfect - - and the breakfast was the best we've had in Portugal!! Simply fantastic!!
Nothing - - it was really fantastic
Very convenient to all attractions, and especially the hosts very caring and exceptionally friendly, food was the best
Nothing at all
The owners were very kind. Location was good, in a lively place, close to the river and to the main touristic spots, with some restaurants around. The room was clean, modern, with a big bathroom and a very good shower. AC worked well and silently. They left us two glasses of port wine in the room the night before we left. Breakfast was very good. They have a lift for the luggage, which helps a lot as the rooms are only accessible using stairs. A good cost-benefit.
The room was pretty small (by far the smallest we had in Portugal) but I guess this is typical for Porto because other hotels we had looked for had the same size of rooms in general. There is no garage/parking place and the hotel is located in a very busy street, so loading and unloading can be a little stressful, but I think this is also typical for Porto, specially hotels located in the Ribeira where the parking spots are very few and disputed. Rooms are comfortable but there is no luxury. So even though the hotel was cheaper than the others we got in Portugal, it was also not as good as the others and that’s the reason why we wouldn’t rate it as a 10.
