Absolutely stunning property. The staff goes above and beyond to act as hosts, eager to help with everything. The restaurant is also fantastic (I ate their twice and could’ve easily gone back again).
Best view and location. Easy commuting to Positano. The staff is lovely!
Location unique and staff very professional
They didn’t offer me Kate check out and chance to stay one extra night as I was asking
Such a gem that is created into the side of the beautiful coastal cliffs. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed out. If you are looking for a special trip, do it!!
An absolutely beautiful, old world hotel in a private setting. We had a breathtaking sea view. The room was lovely...newly renovated and very tasteful. The staff was exceptionally helpful and made us feel like important and valued guests. The concierge, Guiseppe, is one of the best I have ever met at a hotel!
Our shower had some problems with the temperature....it fluctuated and needed to be adjusted while showering.
Positano is considered to be the pearl of the Amalfi coast, fabled to have been founded by the god Poseidon. In 1970, Positano native Carlo Cinque, known to his friends as "Carlino", built Il San Pietro di Positano, a five-star jewel of Italian hospitality, on the promontory that he’d loved since he was a child.
Carved into the cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the six styles of guest rooms are a perfect blend of understated luxury, intricate detail, and unique Italian design. Amenities include terraces, extra large handmade fabric beds, comfortable bathrooms, wide showers and baths in Italian marble or terracotta ceramic tiles, complimentary minibars, Wi-Fi connections, LCD TVs with a variety of satellite and pay-per-view channels, and an exclusive courtesy kit.
Il San Pietro di Positano offers two stunning onsite restaurants including Zass, a Michelin starred restaurant, helmed by Chef Alois Vanlangenaeker, whose dishes embody his quest for purity, harmony, and refinement. Many of the ingredients used by his team come from Il San Pietro's vegetable garden or from local growers. Carlino offers al fresco dining by the Mediterranean, popular local dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients, and is exclusive to resident guests.
For the best in luxury Italian relaxation, the spa at Il San Pietro offers the finest treatments known to mankind. La Prairie face treatments use precious caviar and gold extracts for radiant, purified, and smooth skin. Guests can experience the whipping power of a Finnish shower, and the spa’s Turkish bath is complimentary for hotel guests. Visitors here are guaranteed to experience the best of coastal Italia.
