Our family of 6 (adults) stayed in this small and intimate hotel for 4 days. It’s an historic building with a large lounge lobby and terrace. The rooms are large and modern. The breakfast is beautiful and replenished constantly: fruit, cheeses and meats, croissants and breads, various yogurts and jams, hard-boiled eggs, cereals and a daily quiche. An automatic espresso machine operates 24-hours. The front desk never has less than 2 people ready to assist with recommendations and reservations. In the lower port district, we easily walked 10 minutes up (stairs) to the walled city for tours of the historic sites and the Citadelle. We also walked easily to various neighborhoods in the city. Day and night, the comfortable lobby was a perfect place to meet for drinks, snacks and daily games of chess and scrabble from their bookshelves.
Concierge excellent Desk staff very accommodating
Breakfast a bit skimpy, hot entrees would be nice
it was really a wonderful experience.. we loved the location, the staff was very helpful and as a bonus they have a great breakfast..
the shower needs a hand attachment
Bed was very comfy. Staff were very pleasant and most helpful.
Room was warm. Temperature could not be regulated from thermostat in room
The breakfast was a very nice bonus to my stay. Lighting in the room was the only non 5 star type item. A central light in the center of the room (ceiliing) would be an asset.
nothing. The stay was very nice and the location is super.
At Le Germain Hotel Quebec, youll stay in a century-old building in Quebec Citys Old Port. Once named Germain-Dominion, it retains all the cachet and contagious charm of this grand era. We have preserved the original woodwork and stones to create a mix of classic and contemporary architecture. Youll be both impressed and seduced by the warm, luxurious and welcoming atmosphere as well as the unparalleled service of our dedicated staff.
