Excellent 10.0
Pros: A very large room, with plenty of storage dpace. Bonus was a hidden kitchenette with Nesspresso machine, microwave and sink. Very large luxurious bathroom , with seperate wc. A very pwrsonal boutique hotel, where huests are encouraged to meet for drinks (free) around the fireplace atv1800 each evening, before heading ou to eat in town. Breakfast was wonderful....basically anything you wanted they would cook to order. Staff were genuinely friendly and mulitasked...especially Anouk.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic and the staff very professional.
Cons: N/A
Okay 5.4
Cons: The pictures and description of the hotel did not march our experience. The room did not have an alpine view it had a view of a breeze block wall. There was also no privacy as people walking outside could see right into the room and some even waved at us! The hotel didn't have another room to allocate to us so we had to move hotels. The staff were lovely but we felt very let down by what we had to experience. The hotel management dealt with the refund without any hassle. Queenstown is beautiful but our view of a breeze block wall was outrageous.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely excellent hotel - staff amazing, helpful, cheerful, nothing to much trouble and great with our kids. Breakfast was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented, with lots of choices. My family and I stayed in the Tower Suite, both bedrooms had ensuites and there was also an additional powder room. The Kitchen/dining/sitting room was a fantastic addition. Canapes and drinks in the hotel foyer by the fire every night was excellent and a lovely way to meet other guest staying at the hotel. Will stay again soon and highly recommend to all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely brilliant. From the moment we arrived we were so impressed. Lenny was so helpful on reception. The drinks and canapes every night was such a nice bonus. And breakfast - wow! This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The location was great - only 5 minutes walk to town and the ski buses. Highly recommend staying here.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff, extremely clean, spacious room, easily access to town with in walking distance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were nice and clean, staff were very friendly, drinks and nibblies every afternoon were great and breakfast each morning was fantastic. Location was also excellent with plenty of free car parking available onsite.
Cons: Only thing that could make the stay better was some laundry facilities onsite.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Not much not to like. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful & well prepared. Very clean. Beautifully furnished & well stocked rooms. Comfortable beds. Good cable TV channel selection. Wifi. Free parking. Walk to city centre & foreshore. We celebrated our anniversary here & received a lovely complimentary platter & card just after we arrived. Nightly wine & canapés were a wonderful bonus & chance to mingle with others.
Cons: The only concern was the traffic noise of a night, school directly across the road & people walking pass just outside our window. But we weren’t in the room much & that was minor compared to the quality of everything else.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Breakfast ordered fresh every morning was a real treat
Cons: Not enough seating at canapé time. We came 5 minutes in and there was nowhere for us to sit.

Cons: None
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Stunning views and staff that went the extra mile
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great breakfasts. Great bar. Nice sitting area overlooking the town. Nothing was too much for the hosts to make our stay a success: bookings, advice etc. We had one of the two rooms on the first floor, which have been created out of the attic. It has a view of downtown Queenstown and the lake, and that was its attraction. That said, if we came again we would choose one of the much larger high-ceilinged rooms on the ground floor.
Cons: The last bit of the walk up from downtown is a bit of challenge. The hosts are happy to pick one up, though, and the plentiful taxis are cheap.
Okay 4.2
Pros: Only good service that’s all
Cons: Room and bathroom fairly small despite we book it as described as king suite. Advertise with lake view . Pathetic lake view from afar . No tv . Hv to request for hotel to bring in one . No aircon . For the price we pay it is a rip off
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The team at Hulbert house were absolutely fantastic! Each picked up from where the other left off . Everything was seamless . Indulgent and totally memorable .Home ( luxury) away from home ! Attention to detail was exceptional in every way .Hope to make it back sometime soon !

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I broke my wrist skiing while I stayed, the staff were extremely generous and helpful - they made sure I had everything I needed, helped me with my washing, tying up my shoelaces, bringing me tea! The food was fantastic, canapes were delicious and hanging out with the other guests was very fun.
Cons: The bed was firmer than what I'm used to
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The warmest hospitality we have ever received!! The freshly made a-la-carte breakfasts were so delicious and a lot of choices to choose from. Superb lake and mountain view plus modern decor. Very comfortable bed! Highly recommended!!
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the breakfast, fantastic that it was all home cooked
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast was awesome, very intimate, with amazing views. Staff exceptional. The idea of evening canapes and drinks was great. A great place to stay and I'm already of thinking of booking in here again.
Cons: The walk up the hill a few times a day was hard work but the views wouldn't be so good if there was no hill! It was a little more expensive to most hotels I have stayed at for the size/type of room but I think Queenstown is just generally expensive. I would still stay here again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was amazing and exceeded our expectation. This has been the best accommodation we have ever been to. The staff are friendly and the food is mouthwatering. My favourite thing though is the homely feel, getting together of an afternoon with others staying there for drinks and canapes.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything, stunning location, great breakfasts and the afternoon drinks were a real highlight! We had a great time.
Cons: The only thing would be that our room didn't have good views, however we were in the cheapest room.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: So many things! The amazing view from the balcony and breakfast area, the breakfast each morning was amazing (such a great selection!), happy hour each evening sampling NZ wines & hors d'oeuvres, comfortable and cosy room, the electric blanket, complimentary chocolates and cookies, lovely staff etc etc :)
Good 7.1
Pros: Good location. Nice Terrace. Very clean.
Cons: Water mixer of bath tub shower was faulty. You can get either hot or cold water. Very difficult to mix. Wash basin also not having water mixer. Slow internet. Staff available till 7pm only
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely warm room overlooking lake with balcony. Comfortable bed. Tea/Coffee (milk in fridge) and cookies provided daily. Breakfast room had fantastic views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables beyond - difficult to drag yourself away some mornings! Tastefully decorated property with a warmth immediately felt on arrival. Breakfast was delicious with many choices, including homemade muesli, fresh yoghurt and plums. Selection of cooked breakfasts also available including eggs benedict, omelettes, pancakes with maple syrup and bacon (yum!). Sam and her team could not have been better. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and they helped us to choose which trips to take and booked one for us. One of the highlights of this lovely boutique B & B, is the tasty canapes and glass of wine provided at 5.30 pm each day to enable guests to get together and chat before going into town for an evening meal. Property is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the main town and places to visit. Highly recommend this B & B as a superb place to stay in vibrant Queenstown. Without hesitation we would stay at Queenstown House again and are very grateful to Sam, Paul and team for making our final days of holiday in New Zealand, so enjoyable and memorable.
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Location was great and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was good and catered well for gluten intolerance
Cons: Internet was very poor

Excellent 8.8
Cons: Not enough parking space. One night we have to park on street.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We absolutely loved everything about Alexis. The scenery, the location, the rooms and the access to the town were all perfect.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. The bed was huge which was great and the spa bath was amazing. The location was the right distance from town.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Upon arriving, the owners were super lovely and very accommodating. Showed us to our room and got us settled in. Location was great. Views were spectacular. The owners gave us a map and gave us recommendations of things to do, places to see and eat, and marked them on the map for us. Free parking. Laundry facilities.
Cons: We could hear the room above us of a night time going to the toilet and talking, wouldn’t have been an issue but it was when we were trying to sleep
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Position, view, helpful staff, heated bathroom floor, overall presentation
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location is near the lake but not really directly facing the lake. still within walking distance to the city center which great. one of the issue for me is the internet speed...they are quite slow. equipment provided is great.
Cons: as per what I said above, its the internet connection. but other then that it is worth the price property in my opinion
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Room was very warm and heated floor in the bathroom was a real bonus. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
Cons: Thought there was going to be a view of the mountains and lake from the room, unfortunately the rooms are not positioned this way and the outlook is to the houses across the road. You can however see the lake and mountain of you go out onto the balcony
Okay 5.0
Cons: Listed as lake view room so we booked it. The room did not have a lake view. When asked for another room, they told us that is the room we chose.
Okay 4.2
Pros: Location
Cons: Unhappy staff (not customers responsibility to make sure the cat doesn't escape); and no small talk; obtaining information was like pulling teeth. No extractor fans in kitchen or bathroom. Bathroom steamed up and got very wet. Then each day the cleaner left the windows open. Stayed 7 days and only received one change of towels. UHT milk would be nice and a chopping board too.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great, quiet location within an easy and pleasant walking distance to the centre of Queenstown. All staff were very friendly. Mel at the front desk was extremely helpful in providing local knowledge on where to eat and great activities for our visit. We had a wonderful time at Villa Del Lago and will stay there again when we return to Queenstown one day.
Cons: Nothing!
Good 7.9
Pros: The receptionist is very friendly and informativel.
Cons: Toiletries did not meet the expectations for us.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The lake view is appealing. The kitchen supplies were replete. The late check-in option was flexible and the reception was very friendly and helpful with information. The interior furnishings were comfortable and cozy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room and location were amazing with great service. I only wish we had booked to stay longer!
Okay 5.0
Pros: Great view. Can walk to town.
Cons: Reception rarely open. Cleaning very poor. Stuff inside quite IKEA like. Threats of fines if cooking sets off the fire alarm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: everything just come and enjoy your travel with vila del la go
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The View. Great place to stay. When you walk in the villa theirs a beautiful smell and they also warm up the house for you which was soooo great. Felt like being at home. Laundry facilities in the villa are great. Kitchen was awesome. We had the 2 bedroom villa and the view is breath taking. Receptionist was helpful and gave a few pointers for eatery areas in the city centre. The bathrooms were perfect they had under floor heating which was good for those cold mornings. Also have heaters in both rooms. Our bed was made daily which was helpful. We were given a free lolly bag from the remarkables sweets shop on our first morning. Will definitely be our go to place for our next trip down.
Cons: The main t.v's internet and smart view was not working. I called reception 2 or 3 times and was told the manager would come. (No one did) The t.v in the ensuites language was set to Chinese so made it difficult for me to use. Maybe these should be checked after guests leave?
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Fantastic accommodation. Very clean & fully equipped. Fabulous views. Beautiful 30 minute walk into town. Very cozy. Loved staying here. Wi-Fi was good. Staff friendly. Cleaners did a great job each day. Loved having warm towels.
Cons: Just a little gripe. Would have been good if we could have streamed Netflix. The app is there on the smart tv but couldn't use it.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: There is so much to like, the views from all rooms are breathtaking. Well appointed, everything you need, wonderful place!
Cons: Parking is a nightmare, you get told to not park anywhere with numbers on it, you don’t get assigned a spot, it’s just lucky if you can find a place and it’s very tight . The signs as to the care of the kitchen tops etc made it a little unsettling, but not a major...
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Beautiful views, very warm. Great turn down service.
Cons: Who they house, where the house. Be considerate of couples with no children vs families. Or sound proof the roof. The racket is atrocious.

Pros: The location
Cons: The service in the restaurant whilst friendly was incredibly slow we were the only people in there at the time for breakfast and it took more than 30mins for our breakfast to arrive. Our sheets were dirty in our room and when we addressed this with the hotel manager she said that it must have been from the chocolates and basically implied we had made the mess on the sheets, it actually looked like birds poo on the sheets. One of our possessions was removed from our room and the manager again told us their staff are trained not to remove any personal possessions from the room so it couldn't have happened. it did happen it was something that we can only purchase in America and cannot freight here. All in all we were very unhappy with the stay and fro the cost it was not up to standard by any means at all.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The rooms were spacious, beautifully styled and comfortable. Great location in the centre of town. Staff were extremely helpful.
Cons: A little bit pricey but worth the expense.
Excellent 10.0

Cons: Not being able to stay longer
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very comfortable room, amazing shower. Great location. Even though it was in the middle of town it was very quiet.
Cons: Could have had more rubbish bins
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Love the intimate feel of a small boutique hotel. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. My husband has documents that needed to be printed for work and it was done quickly without fess. Drinks from the bar was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Even though we came down late for breakfast, meals were served to us with a smile.
Cons: Nothing. We love the place.

Cons: Noisy at night

Cons: Waitress at breakfast looked like she had been partying all night, got order wrong, made terrible coffee and provided very little service, had to ask for water and a coffee refil. The restaurant was not busy we were the only ones there. Also pillows need replacing.

Pros: The proprietor was most helpful and friendly. Also, you can get an awesome massage right there.
Cons: Spotty Wi-Fi in our room.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great kitchen, dining and lounge which may be shared with other guests. Very comfortable bed Great lake views Really appreciated the free airport transfer at 6am, even if it is only 800 metres.
Cons: Shared bathroom but that was made very clear before we booked
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Joseph the owner (and his dog), made our experience unforgettable. The communal areas are sparkling clean and Joseph is a great guy to speak with. He gave us great recommendations on where to go and runs his business excellently. The B&B is in a great location (only minutes away from the backpacker-stuffed Queenstown) and very quiet. We could not try the Spa unfortunately as we lacked time, however the other guests seemed pretty happy with it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really loved the fact how everything was just walking distance, airport, shopping centre and the ferry just to get you into the main town. Will definitely stay there again.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The view and the distance to the Frankton Arm Lake
Cons: I had no issue with the property.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was a shared apartment. My bedroom was comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed and very clean. I shared the bathroom with the occupants of one other room. The shared areas were lovely:,a well kitted-out kitchen, a very comfortable sitting area with gorgeous TV, and a large dining table. There was plenty of tourist information available. Josef, my host, took an interest in my plans and made a couple of suggestions which I followed up; they were excellent. The B&B business is combined with a Japanese massage parlour. I took advantage of this, and had a good massage to round off my stay!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Stunning views of the mountains from all windows and a close drive to The Remarkables ski fields. Josef is very friendly and able to assist with any queries. Good location, short drive to shopping centre and Queenstown.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great view of the Lake, very clean and a very helpful Host.
Cons: The entrance road is rough and not sealed.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Josef our host was brilliant, really good guy with plenty of good info. We had a twin private room and that upstairs area is fantastic. The fully self contained kitchen made catering easy and the New World supermarket just a 2 min drive made it cheap as well. Will be back for sure.
Cons: As some others have mentioned, the wifi works but it's a bit patchy which is something I would fix up if it were me.

Pros: Nice and warm and the tiles were heated extra bonus.
Cons: There was no kitchen area so didn't really like drinking water from the bathroI'm tap.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: check in and out was really easy and the owner i talked to (in quite late notice) let us check out an hour later, room was so funky, just loved it
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Breathtaking views. Handy for Queenstown itself, as long as you have a car. Short journey from airport. Very comfortable accommodation. Nice and warm, once heaters going.
Cons: Would have been great if the heaters had all been been cranked up for our arrival, on a cold late afternoon- first evening was a little chilly for a few hours,, until the heating took full effect.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: View was awesome. It was peaceful. My son liked cards and binoculars which were provided in room
Cons: We stayed for three nights. Although we requested for Room makeup, it wasn’t done for one day.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: What a lovely home away from home! We stayed in the Silver Fern Suite with a kitchen. It had everything we needed and more. Our host was also very friendly and accommodating of requests.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great villa. And a nice lake view
Cons: The location is bit far away from queenstown
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Absolutely gorgeous room. The bed was amazing! Bathroom was huge and Roman preheated our room because we travelled during winter. Really nice views over Queenstown and about 5 mins drive from the centre.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Pencarrow views are spectacular- it’s a unique property in the area. We found it warm and clean with everything we needed. Ice in the freezer was a nice touch thanks!! Hosts were attentive and respectful of our privacy. We had a wonderful stay and will be back.
Cons: Laundry service would be fantastic.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: View.
Cons: As a guest house there was no staff in attendance. Did not even bother to check to clean the room unless specifically put out the room clean sign. For a luxury room how come there was a massive king size bed but only one comfortable chair to sit on. No replenishment of toiletries was attempted, while dirty towels were removed but none more handed out. Only breakfast offered was a 4 course one, at an exhorbitant rate. Lounge was inhospitable- the fire was never lit while we were there. The address was not well documented nor was it easy to find. The electrical supply was dodgy. The lights on the dimmer would suddenly glow them die down again and the electric blankets were of some Chinese design and did not heat.

Pros: Front desk provided great hospitality - checked me in earlier and helped book a cab for the next morning.
Cons: Slow elevators
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent comfortable and quiet rooms. The location to stores, airport and main highways in every direction was convenient and efficient as a base for my work. Also some great walks nearby to unwind at the end of the day. Try Franks Eatery downstairs it is good food and conveniently located if you would like to eat in your room.
Cons: It was all good no complaints
Good 7.5
Cons: Exhaust in bathroom was very noisy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was great. Fabulous view. Great location for skiing. Good facilities. And we got an upgrade.
Cons: Nothing. It was all really good

Pros: Great location close to the airport, shops, with lovely views of the Remarkables. Staff very helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: very tidy and clean. great location
Cons: nothing, very happy
Good 6.7
Pros: It was a good price, the parking was free. It was walking distance to the grocery store and cafes.
Cons: The first night I accidentally cut myself which left a little stain on the sheet. My whole stay the cleaner never changed the sheet, just placed a pillow over it covering it. The cleaner also never restocked our toilet paper and we had to ask for another roll. There were no forks in the kitchen. The bed was uncomfortable as it was 2 single beds pushed together.
Good 7.5
Pros: Everything, upgraded to one bedroom suite
Cons: unable to open any outside windows made the room a little stuffy
Excellent 9.6
Pros: IT IS CLOSE TO AIRPORT AND SHOPS
Cons: NOTHING

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff were very helpful in accommodating our strict gluten free requirements, even asking if we had enough variety and offering to find new additions to the breakfast menu.
Cons: Very minor - the lounge furniture and rug needs updating to match the quality and image the overall resort delivers. Ours looked like they had water stains in some places and the arm rest fabric was wearing thin. The airport is close by so expect planes flying in, they do however stop around 9:30pm. So not uncomfortable nor highly noticeable if you are out during the day and prefer to sleep after 9:30pm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. For the price you will not find a better accommodation!
Cons: Zero
Okay 4.2
Pros: The lake being on the door step.
Cons: Restraunt was horrible. Staff look like they were not happy. Lighting throughout the hotel was horrible and to much white bright light We thought we were going to have a room with good views from out hot tub... was just a bath in a bathroom at the back of the room. Far too expencive . Dinner was really bad and all bunched up. NO PARKING... AND YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PARK IF YOU WISH TO... Very bad unloading/bag droo area.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Transfers add up and airport two mile drive is $28 NZ
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fabulous views. Handy to airport and hourly water taxi into queenstown. Coffee shop on site was handy. Amazing pool.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Nice hotel, very comfortable bed!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast had a great selection and location was ideal, there's a water taxi right in front of the hotel that Hilton guests can take with a discount.
Cons: Parking space was difficult but we found it easier to go to town with the water taxi.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The view of the lake and snow covered mountains while lying in bed was amazing. Super friendly and helpful staff. Best holiday accommodation I’ve ever had
Okay 5.8
Pros: the beautiful views
Cons: average breakfast which was advertised to be extra good, terrible drip coffee, had to pay extra$5 for barista coffee., indoor pool looked lovely however no heating was a major let down especially after a long day of snowboarding.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bed and pillow felt amazing! I couldn’t even wake up in the morning. Also the toast marshmallow on fire is definitely a extra bonus to my kid.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Each room has bespoke touches, it is sustainable, staff were lovely and we got homemade cookies brought to us one evening !
Cons: The shower did not work but we had a bath.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had such a lovely time at the Sherwood! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Queenstown. We loved the friendly staff, the amazing restaurant, Sauna, Yoga classes, the list goes on. The rooms were lovely comfortable, with special touches that make The Sherwood unlike any hotel I've stayed at before! Its the kind of hotel you are happy to spend time at and feel very welcome and at home. We were even delivered homemade cookies from the restaurant!
Cons: Nothing. Loved it all.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Lovely, cosy hotel right near Queenstown. We loved the general vibe and the eco-friendly decorations.
Cons: Nothing - we had a great stay!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable room space and quiet environment.
Cons: Maybe to add on computer room service or to set up a few computer at front office for customer use :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved the design of the rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We love the relaxing vibe of the hotel. The room and interior felt modern and eco-friendly. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent quality and very impressive. Overall we loved everything about our stay.
Cons: Parking was sometimes challenging, although not significantly. We weren't always able to park near our room, but always found a park on the property.
Excellent 9.6
Cons: Everything absolutely amazing, except that they really need to sort out the chaotic, confusing, understaffed mess that was breakfast.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Cabin-like feel, and the complimentary drink at the bar and complimentary private sauna session was amazing. We also had a lovely view outside in the Waterfall room. Definitely felt like we were at a retreat.
Cons: It is further away from town if that matters to you.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great stay at the Sherwood. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a friendly smile and a room upgrade. The presentation of the room was immaculate and looked just like the photos. The staff at reception were awesome and would highly recommend staying here. It is slightly out of town but if you have your own car you get your own park which is just such an added bonus! Would stay here again for sure!
Cons: The rooms are quite dark but they do have a lot of lighting that lightens it but that would be my only critic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bed was super comfy, nearly didn’t want to leave! The bathroom was nice and clean. The hotel style was super cute and the fire pit near the reception was a lovely touch in the cold weather, offering a free mulled wine was a nice surprise.

Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: After booking online and having breakfast included I checked in to the accommodation only to find no record of the included breakfast. I also requested a portacot upon booking and was met with a reply (via personal email) that that would be no problems. Again on check in there was no record of this. I requested twice for a portacot during the stay and finally got on on the second night of our stay (only after I requested to speak to the manager over this and produced the emails I recieved). Furthermore, there were renovations being undertaken which was fine. However upon check in there was nothing mentioned about the limited facilities for laundry or at least letting me know the ones closest to my room was out of order. This would have been nice as a courtesy. Overall I was extremely disappointed about the service I received at the Holiday Inn in Queenstown NZ. I will not be recommending them to anyone. Oh and the shower did not drain when showering. The drain could not drain the water away quick enough resulting in the whole bathroom flooding and flooring being wet for quite sometime making it very dangerous when needing to use the toilet or handbasin. I was fed up with the lack of care from the hotel staff so decided to place a rolled up towel next to the drain to prevent the water going all over the bathroom floor.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The customer service staff was very pleasant to deal with. Comfy bedroom and love the view from our balcony which was very nice to wake up to. The location is very close to the airport and to the new shopping area.
Cons: We didn't like hearing the noise coming for the next room and the guest also tried to get into our from the door located inside the room....sound proofing could be improved
Good 6.7
Pros: Room was quite small for two of us in single beds, but otherwise comfortable and well-appointed.
Cons: Showerhead was only a hand-held shower that only sprayed water directly at the wall. Reported this to management and I hope it gets addressed!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Location and amenities
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location
Good 6.7
Pros: The breakfast is good. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. You got 50% of discount of the Water taxi as Hilton residents($5 per trip)
Cons: the room is very small. Facility inside seems very old. The bathroom is extremely small. There is no window in the bedroom, which makes it bit stressed. Sound blocking needs to be improved.
Good 6.7
Cons: not wheelchair accessible like confirmed in email confirmation. dont advertise things you cant deliver on
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The king size bed was so comfortable. The room was cosy and warm. Hotel staff were really helpful and friendly.
Cons: A couple of time we we unable to access our room because the swipe card didn’t work so we had to go down to reception to replace the card twice.
Good 7.9
Pros: Clean and spacious rooms
Cons: Two single mattresses were joined with a comforter on top to make it a double which caused a bump in the middle of the bed making it quite uncomfortable. The powerpoint was hidden away behind the headboard making it quite difficult to access. No USB ports by the bedside either. No on-road parking, have to pay $16/day to park inside.
Good 7.5
Pros: Nice location being near the water
Cons: The Room was small and had views of cars out my window. Just expected a little more for what I paid.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Easy journey to town via the boat taxi for $5. Room was clean and very comfortable. Bed was HUGE. Friendly, helpful staff; there is also a tourist information office by reception. Parking available around 10 min walk away for free.
Cons: Paid parking in hotel car park (for real guys?)
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Received an upgrade to the Hilton next door. This room was much bigger than original room from our first stay at the Double Tree. Room and bathroom layout. Breakfast.
Cons: The rooms and furniture are in need of a modern update. Distance required to walk to the breakfast area. Charge for barista coffee at breakfast, IE: we found out about the charge at checkout.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I liked the friendly staff, the added extras we got for being the guest of the day. We had a fantastic stay. The stacks pub was great, the food was perfect.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: We liked that the location was a bit out of the main centre of Queenstown. We could still access town centre easily by regular ferry / water taxi that stops outside the hotel. Comfy spacious bed too
Cons: The layout of the room meant that when the door of the hotel room next door closed it slammed right beside the bedhead in your room. Not great, woken with a fright a few times by this.
Good 7.9
Pros: Location to airport for early flights. The view over the lake. The layout of the building and facilities. Rooms and furniture still modern and current.
Cons: Breakfast offer was average compared to other options. We found the room offered, a little on the small side. The shower over bath is a bit old school and needs to be updated to a shower only, the bath tub is to small to use anyway. I am not sure if to many people take baths in hotels. The drive to the airport is still further than we expected.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel and view (on the lakeside) were beautiful. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and I loved how close it was to the airport!
Cons: Nothing.
