Just the bed
Maily the bad location but in general I didn’t liked at all... don’t recommend
We had a very comfortable stay at Pontal do Duque. Its amenities are very complete with AC, a good breakfast with lots of options, friendly staff and a useful balcony. Its located five minutes walking from the beaches and an Itaú bike will bring you anywhere. Great stay for great value!
Since we didn't like to drink water from the tap, we got water from a nearby supermarket. Unfortunately the closest supermarket never had water on stock, but another one luckily had. The dirt road in front of the hostel always held some water you had to walk along.
Location, value - friendly staff
The entrance (upstairs) has construction activity
Breakfast was great, personal was very kind, interesting location.
Bed was the worst, we couldnt sleep. Personal doesnt speak english at all, they do not clean the room and wifi doesnt work properly.
This hostel brought us to a great little beach town.
The staff were unbelievably rude. Even to the point where the owner made me cry after calling me fat. It was a very horrible experience at this place. The owner kept making fun of me in Portuguese. He even translated “chata” on google translate to tell me how boring I was. He made a fat comment after I came back to the hostel with ice cream and then again the following morning while I was getting breakfast, which was terrible, not fresh and only bread, cheese and old ham option. I had asked him to stop on several occasions. I even showed him on my phone that I knew what he was saying, that I didn’t like it and that I wanted his behaviour to stop. I left breakfast crying and went somewhere to eat. I am by no means fat, I am a physical education teacher and I wear a size small and a 4. I am very confident but after 4 days of this man, I had had enough, He was a horrible man. We were also supposed to have a city view. It ended up looking at a rats nests of electrical cords. I have always been happy or found good things with my places with booking.com but this place was absoltely horrible. I wouldn’t give it a 1 star. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here.
