Pros: Everything very nice beautiful place,location cleanness very nature the beach panoramic excellent, the owners very pleasant friendly so the lady owner speaks a little English but understood.

Cons: At breakfast I think was the lady owner was on top everything and everywhere, I believe she have to let people either decide what we or people decide what to eat,someone behind you at the time to eat its uncomfortable.

Pros: Meeting people at the communal kitchen, manager Heraldo is helpful in getting around, quiet and peaceful.

Cons: No breakfast at this time of the year, temperature control of a/c is either too cool or not cool enough, and no blankets were provided.

Pros: Very nice family owned this business and was great to be there.

Pros: Super nice owners, excellent service, quiet - slept well every night, safe and family oriented place, they even had an outdoor place for cooking food. I enjoyed hot water and ok internett. Exceptional servicemindedness and cosy family run business. I would go back here!

Pros: The location is marvelous... you can go everywhere from this hostel! Steps away from the beach and 3 blocks away from the main square

Cons: Nobody spoke english. Very unfriendly. I lost my watch. Also for my kea I had to pay. I have the feeling the reception had both of them. Only some guest had a proper breakfast.

Cons: Accommodation in Alter do Chao seems to be quite expensive

Pros: Clean and quiet pousada, just a few minutes walk from the main square and from the Ilha do Amor - you need to take a boat to get there. Good breakfast.

Cons: If you pay by card, they add 2-4% on top. Weak wi-fi.

Pros: The staff were great .. good breakfast .. easy to arrange tours by the hostel

Pros: The staff was very helpful. They sort out all my needs, including add a extra day and arranged the transfer to the airport Location is superb, close to everything in town, to the shops, restaurants and bar to rhe river dock where you can get tour excursions. Clean and good breakfast.

Pros: Nothing,on my stayed never have TV channels available, the hotel administrator change my room more than 4 times 1one was a water leak on top of my bed.

Cons: I don't blame the hotel,but booking. Com for not letting me know that the hotel is under renovations. Very noises at early time in the morning. The man at night very nasty wasn't helpful at all all the time on the cellphone didn't see who enter or exited the hotel lobby.

Pros: Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Easy airport bus access. Walking distance to rodoviaria. Not far from zoo and shopping mall.

Cons: Far from center. The location is good for the rodoviaria, the mall and the airport but bad for the port and city center so consider where you are going to be in Santarem before booking here. Very few TV channels.

Pros: Nice location! After 6am local people walk on the “orla” in avenue Tapajós. 20 min walking you arrive at center of city, with the catedral and market. The hotel is big and staff helpful. Good simple and delicious breakfast. The North of Brazil is really different when you compare it with other big cities, and you just need to be open to live this simplicity.

Pros: The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The grounds of the property were lovely, bungalows set in a lovely garden. There was also friendly cats and dogs around the property!

Cons: The location wasn't the best if you're a solo traveller, during the day it's fine but if you plan on staying out late it's a 10/15 minute walk down a quiet road.
