Hotels near Smithers airport

Pros: This was our first time using a bed and breakfast and it did turn out very nice and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly, kind and accommodating. Food was delicious and prepared at the scheduled time.

Cons: Only small complaint is if you go in the winter time, the driveway was steep and long. Definitely need good tires on your vehicle. If the driveway had been sanded it would have helped.

Cons: Very difficult to find. Would recommend a map on website with cautionary note that property may be difficult to locate. Otherwise very satisfied.

Pros: The attention to detail was amazing. Everything you would needed was provided. The hosts were very friendly & helpful. We loved walking through the gardens behind the house. The breakfast was amazing. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Cons: The bed mattress has seen better times, only sweet breakfast available..... as we had preferred a “salty one”

Cons: Nothing really, we knew the place was out of town, nothing the Garmin GPS couldn't handle, no body wash in the shower, put it down to an oversight

Pros: Hosts were very pleasant. Guest lounge was nice. I knew I had a single bed but as an adult I would have preferred a larger one. The bed was very comfortable though.

Cons: Generally I would prefer a bathroom on the same level as I have old injuries making stairs uncomfortable, however, I was ok adapting as I was the only guest travelling alone and we had to go up stairs for breakfast anyway.

Pros: A quiet location just out of town with a view of the glacier. Provided with our own bathroom and access to a guest sitting area with plenty of room. Michaela’s breakfast was amazing and being in the peace of the country was lovely. Helmet was very accommodating and we really appreciated the advice for our forward travels.

Pros: Rooms are exceptionally clean, beds are comfy, staff are excellent and decent breakfast. Great location for walking downtown and restaurants.

Cons: No coffee or tea in the rooms.

Pros: Great location. The staff are super helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the full breakfast. It was a great, comfortable place to stay with a family.

Pros: Very comfortable guest house with accommodating owners. They stored our baggage while we stayed at a remote lodge for the week. They also allowed us to use a room on return to shower & repack without staying overnight (for a small fee but very reasonable) Walking distance to the shops & bars of Smithers.

Pros: Easy check in and check in. Breakfast included in the morning, including freshly prepared eggs. Central location very close to restaurants. Comfortable bed.

Pros: Late check-in, friendly staff, small cozy building, close to restaurants, free breakfast and coffee, affordably priced, welcoming dining room. Will be back.

Pros: Noisy walls and airport shuttle no more. Changed restaurant hours to 7am too late for most. New owner cutting back it seems.

Pros: Correct overnight stay while travelling. No particulat charme. Beds were good. Personnel at reception was friendly and helpful.

Cons: Of the 2 restaurants one was a noisy sportsbar, the other quiet and empty. The bill was not correct (after a room change too high), but was corrected after pointing out the mistake.

Pros: Quality bedding and mattresses. Nice rooms.

Cons: Ice machine not working. Long hallways to get to our room and then room key didn’t work. Checked in with a vehicle at -31 C and they didn’t mention only place to park with plug-ins was at rear of building and the rear door wasn’t working with their card access. Spent a lot of frustrating time with locked doors and wandering back to the front desk three times. The hotel is on the eastern outskirts of town and about fifteen minute walk to downtown area. Some rooms offer jet tubs but No pool or central hot tub for apres ski although there is a sauna. If you want luxury accommo this place is your best bet in town but it has some drawbacks. We Loved the in hotel Noir restaurant! Best part of our stay.

Pros: renting the executive suite worked well for our group of friends to stay there for 4 nights. We were able to do some cooking and have a living room area to hang out and play games

Pros: Location is awesome. It's only 2 blocks from downtown yet it's very quiet and safe. The communal kitchen is a great convenience and is fully stocked, organized and clean. The housekeeping staff is super nice and they even called on day 2 of 3 to see if we needed anything. Lovely place.

Pros: It can be tough to get a room in Smithers at certain times of the year. This was my first stay at the Fireweed and it was clean, warm and did the trick for a good price. Had a fridge, micro and coffee pot, so enough to get you through. Location is right next to BP and MacDonalds.

Pros: Pet friendly vintage motel. good location for gas, and places to eat. We like the outside entrance to the room. Easier with pets.

Cons: parking area is a little tight, but workable. Driving a full size 3/4 ton pickup.

Pros: The rooms are setup perfectly for fisherman who are on the water all day. It has all of the essentials to make a week of fishing perfect. The staff rocks and they do a wonderful job making up the rooms every day while we are on the river. This is my 3rd staying at the Fireweed for a week and I will definitively be staying there again!

Cons: I dont like the change in pricing when you check in.. Advertised at $76.00, at check in it changes to 92$ advertised cost should include everything.

Pros: I was not informed about breakfast when I checked in and as a result, did not partake. This reservation was made for me, not by me. It would have been nice to be told about it and where to find it.

Cons: Having my sleep interrupted by a snowplow revving it’s engine and constant beeping. Only got 1/2 a nights sleep.

Pros: I thought the breakfast was wonderful. You really couldn't ask for more. The staff kept the items available from 7 AM until 10 AM. The staff was very helpful if you required instructions, additional products and were very friendly. Couldn't do enough for you. The housekeeping staff meet our every need. When I requested additional blankets/ towels etc, the housekeeper was more than pleased to assist. I was very impressed with several of the women staff members (management and housekeeping - top notch!! ) The location was perfect. I would definitely recommend the Capri Motor Inn in Smithers, B.C.

Cons: The only thing I would say is the bathroom could have used some renovations to update the ceiling light as well as repairs to water stains.

Cons: Cleanliness is important to me. The bathroom was clean but the beds were not as marketed - a pull out and small bed instead of two queens. The decor was very dated, sheets and bedding looked ancient. The room and hallways smelled of smoke and marijuana. We checked out right after checking in and drove to Houston for the night. The folks we spoke with at the property were polite and helpful.
