Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast l, great location in the heart of the Kasbah, rooftop terrace with amazing views. Abderraim was very welcoming and cooked a delicious fish tagine for us
Okay 4.6
Cons: Security at this hotel is poor. The only way to enter the building is to knock on the door and wait for the person at the front desk to answer it. However, the front desk attendants frequently abandoned their posts and were unavailable to answer the door in a timely manner. This made us feel incredibly unsafe, especially at night. Also, when we first arrived, the front desk attendant introduced us to a man (who claimed he worked at the hotel) so that he could give us a tour of the Kasbah and to show us to a pharmacy (we were in need of medicine). Instead, the man took us on a two hour trip to various shops where merchants tried to sell us things. The “guide” would not respond to our requests to get back to the hotel, and he had essentially trapped us in the middle of a Kasbah that we could not navigate on our own. At the end of the “tour” it was almost dark, we did not have a chance to go to an ATM or the pharmacy, and HE ASKED US FOR MONEY. When we refused, he said that he would come back tomorrow to collect. It became clear that he was certainly not an employee. I was aware that people in the Medina/Kasbah would approach us and ask if we wanted a tour, and I knew to refuse those offers. I did not expect for our own hotel to send us on a fake “tour,” however. This additionally made me feel unsafe and as though our best interests were not valued by the staff. When we asked for a taxi to a different hotel, they said that we would have to navigate the Kasbah ourselves (with our luggage at 22:30) in order to hail a taxi. After I persisted, the staff made a call to another person, who then told me that he would call his “friend” to pick us up. Out of options, we took him up on it. His “friend” arrived in a taxi with another man sitting in the passenger seat. Again, unsafe. After all of this, I was refused a refund (even a partial one).
Excellent 8.3
Pros: I loved how unique the old antique designs were. Quirky! Great location.
Cons: Stairs! There wasn't an elevator.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff were eager to please and friendly. Short walk to the markets and shops.
Cons: Showers and wifi were weak in the room.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location, beautiful building, nice common rooms , roof top areas to relax & where breakfast was served. The staff are kind, helpful & friendly. Knowledgeable about the Médina.
Cons: We were taxed at the end (not much) ?? then we determined we were overcharged & it took some doing but it did get resolved - so thank you Abdul. Be careful of guides that try to take you shopping for rugs or whatever they think you’d be interested - they don’t give up !
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Terras, room, breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our host Abderrahim was amicable and welcoming. There is a beautiful viewpoint on the top where you can see the ocean and night city. Location is right in the heart of the old town, cozy public areas. I highly recommend staying!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Albarnous is a very beautiful house with lovely decoration and is nestled in the heart of the Kasbah. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Delicious breakfasts on the charming roof terrace. Gracias Abdul por hacernos sentir tan en casa
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Nice home-made breakfast every morning, great view over the city from the roof, very clean and very helpful and accommodating hosts. We had a very pleasant three nights stay in this hotel, the host Abdul was very helpful and available for our questions. The hotel is on the top of the medina, so ideal if you want to lose yourself in the narrow streets.
Cons: These were not problems for us, but may be for some guests: keep in mind that this hotel is on the top of the hill in the medina, so take a cab to the nearby square if you do not want to carry your luggage uphill. Furthermore, the hotel is a traditional house turned into a hotel, with a narrow staircase and no elevator.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This gorgeous guesthouse in the old part of Tangier is an absolute gem. The rooms are spacious with tasteful Moroccan decor and tiles. It’s within walking distance of the major sights in Tangier—like the Kasbah museum and the Medina/souk area. A guide from the hotel gave us a lengthy and informative tour the first day. In the morning, we had breakfast on the rooftop terrace with stunning views of Tangier’s marina, the beach, and Spain!
Cons: I didn’t stay long enough.
Good 7.5
Pros: Great location in the heart of the Kasbah. If you are traveling by car, you can leave it at a square nearby (20 MAD per night, 10 MAD during the day). The house is very clean, all rooms are nicely furbished in (not overdone) Moroccan style. Our room had a great view over the city. Great roof-top terrace where also breakfast is being served.
Cons: There was a strong smell in the bathroom, which was probably coming from the drainpipes (toilet/shower/bidet?). The quick fix solution applied by the host (spray) did not solve the problem, but they were trying their best to accommodate us.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fabulous location, close to all the main go-to places in Tangier. Clean hotel, friendly staff, old school 5 star hotel. Would recommend it to anyone..Enjoy!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great rooms, ambiance and location. Good restaurant. Plentiful breakfast.
Cons: No towels at the pool and hour before it closes. No non-alcoholic beer. Key faulty twice.
Good 7.5
Pros: Location and the ambience
Cons: Slow unreliable wifi, even slower and less reliable room service. Lack of good advice from the front desk re restaurants and the city.
Good 7.1
Pros: Quite big expectations as five star and “historic” hotel where they try to play with the fact that mattisse used to stayed in the property. Absolutely shameful that the most of the team members doesn’t speak English. Really appreciated the help from Hatkim on reception, great guy who knows how greets the people and anticipate their needs.
Cons: Review the building as quite old and get few more people who speaks English.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location is perfect for the Medina. All the staff made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as they possible could. We wil definitely return. AJ&ME KING
Cons: Not applicable
Good 7.1
Pros: the pool
Cons: breakfast service
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Upgraded my booking to a very beautiful suite without asking! Excellent hotel and will be my hotel whenever in Tanger
Cons: Nada
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Bathroom and water pressure were great, bed was clean and comfortable. View from the window was delightful.
Cons: Pool hours could be longer in the morning
Good 7.9
Pros: The staff are very nice, very friendly and veryyy helpful at the reception, the concierge and also the staff at the breakfast. The breakfast very good modern an traditional The breakfast restaurant is very beautiful with the fontain in the middle like the riad style! All the hotel is very artistic style with alot of tradition and europen style it is mixture of both!
Cons: I recommand to clean the dust and also a bit the windows and either to change the old beige dirty carpets next to the bed or to just remove them! As this hotel is realy nice like a piece of art, please don’t send your guest to the Minzeh Spa! It is realy shame to be connected or partner to this horrible Spa my husband and I we had very bad experience there I told all tge story to the guy at the reception, We went there, First of all we were told my husband and I they are doing special offer for royal hammam 300 dirhams instead of 450 dirhams and they advice us to take it because it includes 15 minutes massage at the end! The hole Hammam process was just 20 minutes the girls are extremly unqualified (Hanane and Najiba) for the peeling they were just passing (alkess / Peeling gloves) like passing a creme! at the end they pass soap on our body very normal and that was the 1 min joke massage! As I am used to all kind of moroccan hammam from the basic to the high level individual and also to all kind of massage from Europe to Japan to Thailand and Bali, this El Menzah is a far way even from the basic hammam which costs 70 dirhams including peeling by special trained traditional women! I felt my husband and I we got scammed! When I paid 600 dirhams at the reception for 20 minutes joke ridicules hammam I complained to the girl (Shaymae) she was just looking at me without any words and I said I will write everything in Internet she was looking at me with face impression like « she doesn’t care at all » We were extremly disappointed Don’t send your guests to this place! Your guests will be scammed from the head to the feet!

Excellent 9.2
Pros: Hustlers everywhere which impacted on our freedom to look around the area, I say this because a guy jumped in our taxi saying he was from the Tanger tourist board! We escaped him but as we sat at the hotel he reappeared, I can only conclude the guy on reception called him to say we were there.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Gorgeous old telegraph building which has been converted in to a hotel, many of the original features remained with the old charm.
Cons: Being centrally located has its drawbacks, there's noise from the street during odd hours of the night which can be an issue for light sleepers
Good 7.5
Pros: Comfortable bed and pillow. Room had good air conditioning. Breakfast was good value. The young boy who arranged our taxi from Tangier to Chefchouene was very helpful and polite.
Cons: We were conned by a hotel employee out of our restaurant of choice which he insisted was closed and we were taken to a restaurant owned by the hotel which was sub standard and over priced. We later discovered the restaurant of our choice was in fact open. The shower drain was blocked and the water backed up. It was unpleasant.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The breakfast was standard and the neighbourhood was as described. I know Tangier well and given the chance I would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend to friends. The A/C is fantastic.
Cons: Nothing that wasn't already advertised.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Location and nice Moroccan house
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the excellent staff, to the great breakfast, to the roof top terrace, this centrally located spot is an excellent value. Many places felt a little unsafe, dirty or had weak wifi, but we quickly came back to Dar El Kasbah and used it as our launching point for exploring the local area. We can't say enough nice things about the place. Oh, and when our shower head broke, within three minutes it was replaced. Amazing!
Cons: Everything was great!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: A nice hotel near Medina. Many shops and restaurants around, beautiful inner terrace with a dinner\breakfast, an interesting interior. The Kasbah is just several minutes walk, new city is also reachable in ~10-20 minutes by foot.
Cons: Sometimes it can be really noisy at night, the noise probably comes from some sport bar.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: There is a free full breakfast included that was not in details. Hotel is like a haven right near market places and a walk to the port side.
Cons: Could be noisy at night because of next door cafe restaurant
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The hotel manager is super friendly , always listening and making the guest have a plaisant stay , room decoration is unique, I love this hotel
Cons: Rien
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The building was very beautiful both outside and inside. Our room was large and comfortable. The sheets were clean and beds comfortable. The location was great for both accessing the old town and the port. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was lovely art on all the walls. The restaurant/courtyard had live music.
Cons: I liked everything. There was no lift so this hotel would not be great for people with mobility issues as there are many stairs.
Good 6.7
Pros: Really good location close to the Kasbah and the rest of Tanger. One very good staff member, the rest didn't seem to know what was going on. Nice decor inside.
Cons: The aircon unit released its water into the shower which meant that the shower and the shower walls were constantly wet and damp, plus there was a strong odour in the bathroom.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: A great place to stay, designed with beautiful touches throughout, and topped by an unbeatable breakfast on the roof. I stayed for two weeks, will recommend it, and would happily go back.
Cons: Some beds had no space around them even for my glasses or my phone.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautifully decorated. Lovely breakfast each morning. Very nice terrace for lounging--I highly recommend sitting there and listening to one of the evening calls to prayer. The owner and each member of the staff were very pleasant and kind.
Cons: Quiet noisy outside of my room each night--of course that's not the riad's fault and could very well be an isolated incident. Also just a touch expensive.
Good 7.5
Pros: Calm yet social hostel in the medina, well located with a lovely terrace and plenty of lounging areas. The private room has a decent bathroom for a hostel. Loved the late breakfast hours (served until 12:00!). I walked to the hostel from the port, approx. 15 mins walk if you know where you are going!
Cons: The bed in the private room was so uncomfortable! Be aware that this is a hostel and it can be noisy (a door separated my room from the next room and I could hear everything). Bring earplugs. Better signage on the streets would be a big help, all guests spoke about getting lost while trying to find the hostel the first time.
Good 6.7
Pros: Staff is very helpful and gave many tips. Breakfast is good and the hostel is located in the center of the medina.
Cons: The building is old and we felt it also in the inside; the smell in the room wasn't good(we don't know if it was from the inside or the outside). The hostel is in the center of the medina, very close to the main street, but the streets nearby are a bit degradated. According to the price and compared to many other places we have been in Marocco, it is a little expensive.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Roof terrace was great
Cons: No air conditioning and room very hot.
Good 7.1
Pros: Staff where helpful Amazing roof terrace
Cons: Breakfast table needs to be covered....wasp & ants in the jam and honey is an added extra i did not want.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely amazing choice to stay in Bayt Alice! I met amazing people there, the rooftop is mind blowing and the room I had was clean and super stylish. The staff is also incredibly cool and the location is right in the Medina. I definitely recommend this place!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners were super helpful, they told us with a printed map exactly where to go to visit various landmarks. Also pointed us towards delicious restaurants. The room was clean and quite spacious. Good value.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff, location, decoration, vibe
Cons: The shower didn't had hot water.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Well executed vision of a travellers hostal....mixing materials, colours, textures and objects.....and a night time view to die for from the crows nest
Cons: Noisy Moroccans in the narrow lanes of the medina
Good 7.5
Cons: Finding property a mirical but learnt how to navigate maps.me

Pros: Staff was amazing. Location is excellent. Decor was beautiful. We had a great stay and would definitely come back and recommend it.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Beautiful spot, rooms and dining areas. Lovely views and feeling of the old world.
Cons: Recently dropped from 4 star to a 3. We were welcomed warmly but when we didn't want to partake in the expensive tourist services (mainly guides bring you to friends shops and over priced restaurants under the pretext of being helpful, inflated taxies etc) we were treated a little rudely. Service seems to have declined with the decreasing stars. Shame, such a beautiful building and nice spa.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice comfortable hotel in great location. But I would say that the most outstanding thing is the helpfulness of all the front desk staff and especially Abderrahman who went out if his way to assist me. Thanks.
Good 6.0
Pros: The staff of the hotel were really friendly and made sure we knew exactly where to go. Very close to the bus station.
Cons: Despite having wood floor our room just smelled of mold which made things not feel clean - even if they were. The bathroom just didn't feel clean Because of the smell..

Pros: air con wasnt great.
Cons: customer service was great, rooms were big, blue bar a must!
Good 7.9
Pros: location and the room size

Excellent 8.3
Pros: Hotel well situated on main shopping street. Very noisy on first night as there is a bar beside the pool with noise until after 2am. Bed comfortable, good size bathroom and shower. Great views from balcony.
Cons: Noise from Hotel bar beside the pool until after 2am

Good 6.7
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The wheat based breakfast did not suit my partner who has a gluten free diet. It was also difficult to find initially.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: In the first time, It was a bit difficult to find the place. But you can't find it because the roads in the city are like maze. Staff were helpful. The terrace is fine.
Cons: The beds weren't perfect but certainly no problem staying 1-2 nights.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: In my 5 years of traveling in Morocco, probably the worst place I ever staid. Was probably not cleaned in the last month, bedsheets were certainly already used by previous occupants. In the night neighboring house had works ongoing until 4 am, resulting in no way to sleep and no action at all by the concierge of the property even after asking for it.
Good 6.7
Cons: It wasn't very clear when booking that the bathroom wasn't connected to the bedroom. It was also down one flight of stairs and although it was classed as private, other guests could have easily used it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Authentic atmosphere and experience of Tangier as a meetpoint of cultres and history in a few hundred years old riad
Good 6.7
Pros: The location, staff and food was good. Love the rooftop and the owner was nice
Cons: The place was smelling a bit damp and dusty.
Okay 5.0
Pros: NO TWIN BEDS. OBLY ONE BED ANA A SOFA
Cons: Third floor
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very friendly staff. Great location in the midst of the kasbah. The owner Julle is full of useful advice on what to do and where to go. Lovely breakfasts on to the terrace.
Good 7.1
Pros: Nice facilities. Staff was friendly.
Cons: The room was boiling hot...no AC, fan or window, and we were staying there in the summer. Breakfast was OK.

Pros: Good location, restaurants and some bars close by. Beer is available in the hotel bar. Balcony was nice to sid, but only with noice cancelling headphones. Very spacious room.
Cons: We had a room facing two streets, very loud in the night. The room was at the end of the corridor, so the wifi did not reach. Wifi is also not available in the lobby (only if the one from upper floors reach there).
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good central location. Breakfast omelets were cooked to order, with various fillings. Liked the outdoor bar with live music in the evening.
Cons: One of the lifts was out of order
Good 7.5
Pros: Characterful and pleasant hotel that has reasonable facilities, a little dated, but a great location.
Cons: It’s quite noisy but that’s a symptom of its age in my opinion.
Good 6.0
Pros: Nice location. Nice pool. Nice ambiance at night for dinner near the pool. Friendly staff. Very reasonable room standard for the price. Not too difficult to park in the surroundings, although I question the "valet" system.
Cons: Didn't like the breakfast. I took it only on the first morning. Disappointing for the price. Ended up eating in the vicinity. There were cheaper options with more appeal. Not the hotel's fault per se, but in other places guests do not need to be bothered by the "guy who takes care of the cars in the street" that you have to pay for. The hotel should have this covered, in my humble opinion.
Good 7.5
Pros: Been before, a hotel from sixties. Staff generally friendly. Very nice pool and garden, with evening entertainment. Good breakfast, in an quirky tiled and panelled dining room. Fifth floor just been redecorated. Rooms bit small , but ok if you get a balcony. Plumbing can be strange and hot water can be very slow in some rooms. Right in middle town.
Cons: Hot water very slow and not very hot!
Okay 4.6
Pros: The balcony was good.
Cons: The Bed was old and dirty and noisey. The room was smelling. Design was old. Carpets were messy. Foul smell in room. Really old dated hotel.
Good 7.9
Pros: Great location, close to town, beach, Kasbah and Port. Limited dinner menu but food was OK. Room was clean and functional but no safe.
Cons: WiFi was poor unless in the lobby. No tourist maps or information available

Cons: The place cost $20, which was fine. Location was fine. At 4am I needed to leave for the airport and asked them to call a cab. He called a friend, who basically held me hostage and said I had to pay $15. To give you an idea, a ride of that length should be $1 or $2 max in Morocco. I felt it was likely the concierge at the hotel was getting a kickback for calling this guy, and effectively doubled the cost of my hotel.
Good 7.5
Pros: Good shower. Cute decoration. Close to airport, but they still charge 150 dm to airport. Nothing special, but a good place if you have an early flight next morning.
Cons: The taxi price to airport is expensive af.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Close to the airport. They served good breakfast. The room is clean and comfortable.

Cons: Photos of hotel not true . all photo for other hotel "SENATOR"
Good 7.9
Pros: Very close to the highway and to food places
Cons: Rooms getting too old , need a waiting time to get hot water . This time , less channels on TV ( may be 5 channels) Highly suggest to renew and do better for a big company as Ibis .
Good 7.0
Pros: Great utility for the price of overnighting very close the airport (clean, comfortable bed, helpful staff, etc.)
Cons: The inexpensive continental breakfast wasn't worth the expense. The airport taxi charges the same $15 to any area hotel, which might incline some guests to make the short walk from the airport (or pay the same taxi fare to stay at the Ibis City Center or any other hotel downtown)

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Clean, very good location, very good value for money
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Professionnalism Hotel located in the city center
Cons: Nothing worth mentionning
Excellent 9.6
Cons: Just the furniture is old fashioned
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: The place VERY uncomfortable, the beds & the pillows were very hard to sleep on, the blankets haven't been washed in ages, no towels, the kitchen filthy, the bathroom as well, we couldn't shower because we didn't trust the place at all. It was OVER priced, we rented elsewhere for half the price a much cleaner place, literally half the price. i would never recommend the place to anybody.
Good 6.7
Pros: Good location and nice easy way to spot the building, giod over all but not clean as the rooms smelled and had no heating which means you smell mold all the time...! No breakfast but there are plenty of nice places around, recommended going to Muhammad V road and go up the hill, on your right there is a massive courtyard which had resultants overlooking the marina and sea, and cheap.

Pros: It was cheap and didn't cause too much damage to pack up for another hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. WiFi worked great (granted the modem was right outside our door.) Interesting location...right in the center of Medina which can be seen as a good and bad thing.
Cons: Where to start. I may be a bit of a germaphobe, but this place was pretty nasty. It had the floor that you have in your elementary school cafeteria which didn't look like it had been cleaned in about a year. I seriously couldn't walk around barefoot. The bathroom was full of black mold and the shower didn't work. There was a big spigot that we had to try and use as a shower. And by the way, the sink was literally falling off of the wall, and it may have The blankets look like the ones that you buy on the side of the road that hang on fences, and the fact there was no AC killed it. We had to keep the windows open keep some cool air flowing which ended up inviting all the mosquitoes in for a bite fest. That led to waking up and holding the contest of who got bitten the most. We came during Ramadan which meant that day long fasts led to evenings where everyone was out and ate all night. You could hear people bustling until 5 in the morning, so if you're a light sleeper, like me, don't expect relaxing nights. Every time you get in and out of the hotel you have street hecklers begging for money or trying to sell you sometime, so it was the least relaxing place I've been to. We did meet some really nice people there that told us to stay inside after about 7:30 just because of the people that come out at night. I also got caught in a crowd there as we were walking back home and when it got to be a tight group I felt someone's hand reach in my pocket that I had my wallet in. I had to grab his wrist and yell at him in order for him to scram but just a little info on the nature of the area this hotel is in and what to expect. It wasn't relaxing but it was an adventure. We ended up moving to the Hilton and had a fantastic experience there.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Okay 4.2
Pros: The location is very good.
Cons: It is nothing more than hostel quality, but treats itself like a fancy hotel. The staff was unhappy to help, whenever i needed help. Except for the 2 Mohammeds.
Good 6.8
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, tv in room
Cons: Location, no a/c, no fan, bed was not level
Okay 4.5
Pros: The bathroom was newly renevated, maybe. It was small, but it was clean.
Cons: It was a small cheap place. Not for long stays.
