Pros: From the excellent staff, to the great breakfast, to the roof top terrace, this centrally located spot is an excellent value. Many places felt a little unsafe, dirty or had weak wifi, but we quickly came back to Dar El Kasbah and used it as our launching point for exploring the local area. We can't say enough nice things about the place. Oh, and when our shower head broke, within three minutes it was replaced. Amazing!
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Staff was amazing. Location is excellent. Decor was beautiful. We had a great stay and would definitely come back and recommend it.
Pros: Beautiful spot, rooms and dining areas. Lovely views and feeling of the old world.
Cons: Recently dropped from 4 star to a 3. We were welcomed warmly but when we didn't want to partake in the expensive tourist services (mainly guides bring you to friends shops and over priced restaurants under the pretext of being helpful, inflated taxies etc) we were treated a little rudely. Service seems to have declined with the decreasing stars. Shame, such a beautiful building and nice spa.
Pros: It was well organized and the room had amenities such as reading lights and had a place to store two suitcases.
Cons: I couldn't figure out how to use the TV. However, watching TV was not a priority.
Pros: The old world style and traditional Moroccan vibe it has, it has a style and timeless quality that has sadly disappeared from most hotels today.
Cons: The girl in the spa reception was so rude when we enquired about prices. She turned her back on us and when I asked a question she shouted 'what' at us. Got the feeling we were really bothering her as she chatted to her friends.
Pros: hotel run by very friendly staff. very clean rooms, everywhere in fact..hotel had a lovely old fashioned moroccan feel , with attractive decor and styling throughout. great use of wellness centre for hamman and massages.
Cons: a little bit expensive, drinks and food. easy to get carried away with putting everything on the room and bill at the end. but for this quality of service, partly expected.
Pros: The stay has been extremely pleasant and the staff was very nice and helpful
Cons: Staff were incorrigibly self-promoting: I.E. referral to a rental car company with a new car which turned out to be a 2006 repainted sedan with seat covers and 85000km! Incompetence punctuated by outright lies would be a solid description of some staff.
Pros: The location of my room with the Bay of Tangier, the palm trees, the swimming pool and the rising moon over the water. It was really spectacular. Mini bar was really nice and very handy as I was exhausted.
Pros: it was a pleasant, well-located hotel with a special character.
Pros: Service in general of the hotel
Cons: The guide recomended.
Pros: Friendly staff
Pros: Excellent view. In any case is one of the two acceptable hotels there
Cons: Bad sheets doubtfull clean. Prices not reflecting the confort

Pros: Beautifully decorated. Lovely breakfast each morning. Very nice terrace for lounging--I highly recommend sitting there and listening to one of the evening calls to prayer. The owner and each member of the staff were very pleasant and kind.
Cons: Quiet noisy outside of my room each night--of course that's not the riad's fault and could very well be an isolated incident. Also just a touch expensive.

Pros: In the city center, helpful staff, we could have had breakfast even when we arrived in the morning, nice view from the restaurant. It was possible to rent a car rental at the hotel (the hotel cooperates with near car rental)

Pros: The architecture of this riad was amazing. The cleaning was awesome as well; our clothes were folded which was unexpected and very kind! Also, the jam at breakfast was delicious!
Cons: One of the people who worked at the front desk was really just quite mean. He made being at the riad unpleasant; he was unhelpful, rude, and unaccommodating. The other person who worked at the front desk was very nice but quite unhelpful. Despite the nice atmosphere and decor, this riad lacked the kindness, pleasantness, and hospitality that I came to know and love during my time in Morocco. I would definitively not recommend it to other travelers coming to Tangier. You can definitely find a place with a nicer atmosphere and staff for a better price!
Pros: The riad is beautiful.... except the room on the first floor where we were. The owner is nice and they serve the breakfest on the roof with a gorgeous view to the see.
Cons: The room on the first floor is in a poor condition.
Pros: Fantastic building with beautiful fittings throughout. Good location in the middle of the medina. Yummy breakfast on the terrace with ocean views was lovely and the welcoming pot of tea on arrival was brilliant. Though the couple speak little english we were able to communicate with our limitied spanish and french and heaps of gesturing. Free wifi in public areas was great.
Cons: Location was a bit hard to find the first time so a good map (Google Maps and Lonely Planet maps are rubbish for the medinas) was necessary, we ended up going to the Hotel Continental to get one.
Pros: The empathic owner allowed us to use the phone on premise to cancel my debit card eaten by the ATM machine by BMCI bank near Tangier port. Location: if you want to escape Tangier and take the next ferry across the strait, then this riad, though tucked away in a narrow alley, is a 3-minute sprint to the port.
Cons: Staff: torn by extreme mixed attitudes. The owner is gentle and empathic. His wife (who also runs the business), however, is petulant and entirely unsuitable for the hospitality business. Interior: general dinginess in room. Found hair and stains on coverlet and comforter. Musty bathroom with occasional smell of sewer; shower drain clogged. Limited reception hours--we missed the early ferry since we have to wait to square away the bill. Cash only (how we got yelled at by the matron because we scraped up 3 kinds of currencies and waited to pay).
Pros: Very friendly, fabulous french host, cosy and clean room, fabulous roof top terrace, helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
Cons: It's in the heart of the medina and obviously not going to be easy to find but I had printed out a google map so we found it relatively quickly. Would recommend future guests do the same or email the riad direct and they can email you instructions.
Pros: I loved the way the hotel was decorated and the breakfast every morning on the rooftop.

Pros: the touch of Marrocan architecture
Cons: The water of the shower, gets cold and then hot during your shower, and spa and breakfast were not at all a 5 star hotel. When cleaning and swooping the floor cleaning ladies should be instructed to ensure that this is properly indicated to avoid that guests step on a wet floor without notecing..........it happened many times with many guests.........
Pros: The nice room and good breakfast buffet
Pros: The bedrooms are clean and the staff in the restaurant are friendly and helpful,
Cons: The staff in reception could not speak good English and were getting things mixed up all the time including room service. We were unable to use the Swimming pool as it was unclean. There were generators next to most of the bedrooms so was noisey. In our opinion the hotel is not a 5 star.
Pros: Nice swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere in the evening whilst enjoying a meal & drink
Cons: Key staff (Front desk) had a poor understanding of English. Bar and restaurant staff much better. Location of the hotel is very poor and they make an expensive charge for hotel car into town, Breakfast always late and the same - for the business traveller needing to make an early start is inconvienient, Quality of meal variable, sometimes excellent, sometimes poor,
Cons: The safety box did not work and the water supply shifted from cold to hot approximately every 30 seconds. I complained about this the first 2 days of my stay, but nothing was done. This is not a service i expect from a 5 star hotel. There was a poor service in the reception, when asking for the price of golfing (at hotel andalucia GOLF tangier) i was told to go find out myself. All in all the price is higher than the actual quality of the hotel. Last the room was full of ants, not a hotel i would recommend at all.
Pros: Nice rooms, very clean and comfortable. Attractive pool area. Classic but good buffet breakfast. Great grilled food by the pool.
Cons: Some construction works were still going on. The staff is very friendly but does seem fresh out of hotel school and makes some beginner mistakes, nothing too serious, but sometimes not the service you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Even though the hotel was practically empty, we could not check out late (16:00 instead of 13:00).

Cons: The place cost $20, which was fine. Location was fine. At 4am I needed to leave for the airport and asked them to call a cab. He called a friend, who basically held me hostage and said I had to pay $15. To give you an idea, a ride of that length should be $1 or $2 max in Morocco. I felt it was likely the concierge at the hotel was getting a kickback for calling this guy, and effectively doubled the cost of my hotel.

Pros: It was cheap and didn't cause too much damage to pack up for another hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. WiFi worked great (granted the modem was right outside our door.) Interesting location...right in the center of Medina which can be seen as a good and bad thing.
Cons: Where to start. I may be a bit of a germaphobe, but this place was pretty nasty. It had the floor that you have in your elementary school cafeteria which didn't look like it had been cleaned in about a year. I seriously couldn't walk around barefoot. The bathroom was full of black mold and the shower didn't work. There was a big spigot that we had to try and use as a shower. And by the way, the sink was literally falling off of the wall, and it may have The blankets look like the ones that you buy on the side of the road that hang on fences, and the fact there was no AC killed it. We had to keep the windows open keep some cool air flowing which ended up inviting all the mosquitoes in for a bite fest. That led to waking up and holding the contest of who got bitten the most. We came during Ramadan which meant that day long fasts led to evenings where everyone was out and ate all night. You could hear people bustling until 5 in the morning, so if you're a light sleeper, like me, don't expect relaxing nights. Every time you get in and out of the hotel you have street hecklers begging for money or trying to sell you sometime, so it was the least relaxing place I've been to. We did meet some really nice people there that told us to stay inside after about 7:30 just because of the people that come out at night. I also got caught in a crowd there as we were walking back home and when it got to be a tight group I felt someone's hand reach in my pocket that I had my wallet in. I had to grab his wrist and yell at him in order for him to scram but just a little info on the nature of the area this hotel is in and what to expect. It wasn't relaxing but it was an adventure. We ended up moving to the Hilton and had a fantastic experience there.
Pros: The location is very good.
Cons: It is nothing more than hostel quality, but treats itself like a fancy hotel. The staff was unhappy to help, whenever i needed help. Except for the 2 Mohammeds.
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, tv in room
Cons: Location, no a/c, no fan, bed was not level
Pros: The bathroom was newly renevated, maybe. It was small, but it was clean.
Cons: It was a small cheap place. Not for long stays.
