One big hiccup, but a really great stay overall
I like how much information was provided regarding tours and transportation in the area. Having a shuttle to take you to the center of town was great and the drivers were all nice. Breakfast in the morning was a plus.
The first night, a sliding door that separated two sides of my room got stuck, locking me in from the exit. It took a lot to get the door out and I had to change rooms. Then the sheets in the new room had been washed in detergent with a strong scent (which was a first for me regarding hotels) that made me nauseated. I couldn't sleep in the bed. I was given a bottle of champagne for the troubles, but I felt a refund on that night would have been much more appropriate given it was terrible all around. Also, the lounge restaurant menu leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't change for lunch and dinner. Also, they charge you 3 euros for the cover that was on the table during the free breakfast. When I was asked if I wanted water, I wasn't told that I was buying a whole bottle of it for 3,50 euros. Additionally, everywhere else I ate for prices like that, they served some small dessert-like snack after the meal and offered limoncello at no extra charge. Here, nothing. I ate at a expensive restaurant in Le Sirenuse and didn't pay for the cloth covering the table. I learned why I didn't see people eating there for dinner. While I liked the hotel in general and the rest of my stay, I wouldn't stay there again if I go back to the Amalfi Coast, which I plan to do in a couple of years.
Beautiful Stay and Great Customer Service
This was my favorite stay on the Amalfi. It's a great place to relax and still be able to do day trips if you have a car. The customer service is outstanding, the breakfast is great, and the beds are really comfortable. Enjoy!
Nothing!
Very nice hotel; attentive staff.
I think every maid should be instructed to detect clogged drains, so the guests wouldn't have to complain themselves.
Fabulous Hotel , Great , Efficient and Friendly staff . Felt as if at home in my own personal villa . Great , healthy and fresh food , superbly prepared by what seems to be your personal chef . Great contemporary design , but not pretentious or uncomfortable like most "boutique" hotels. Brilliant relaxing place and real value for money unlike most tourist traps on Amalfi Coast which are overly expensive tourist traps. beautiful roof top pool and garden terrace.
There was nothing I did not like about this hotel ,except the spa bath would not drain and the hot and cold mixer was plumbed back to front.
