Pros:Stayed here only because I could bring my dog and it is close to several restaurants. There’s only one other hotel in town where you can bring your pet, but the location is inconvenient. So, my positive comment is about the location. Also, the bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave in the room, if I had needed it.
Cons:The property in general is completely...ran down. There are so many needs from cosmetic to safety that need attention. There were people lurking at the entrance, (which offers no security, meaning the door doesn’t lock and I’m not sure it shut all the way) smoking right in front of the door. Awkward. So I prayed for safety each time I passed. I was afraid to let my 17 yr old daughter walk down the hallway by herself to get something from the car. The lock on our door had a little glitch so you had to pull it forward so that you could get in. There was hair in the bathroom floor, next to the tub...like the floor got a quick pass by a mop that pushed it all to the side. No attention to detail by the cleaning crew. I never touched any of the floors with my bare feet. It was only two nights and not much of a choice because I had my tiny dog with me. Breakfast. Um. Given the condition of the rest of the facility, I was not surprised at the breakfast that was free. Cereal and some bread and muffins. I honestly wondered how long it had been since the coffee pot had been cleaned. It was 100 years old. So, I went to McDonald’s. Bottom line. This hotel is on the struggle bus and in serious need of financial support and perhaps new management and renovation and staff training.
