This is e great hotel if you visit Weimar like the Bauaus museum or Goethe Museum or other historical places. There is enough parking space. the breakfast is sufficient and fresh. We liked the pool too.
Even though it is dated the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were pleasant and friendly. Good restaurant with a buffet style menu 3 course for €19 per person all you could eat. There is a supermarket next door and a Greek restaurant should you not want to eat in the hotel. All in all not a bad overnight stay.
They want to charge for the car park, it has no barriers or security. However plenty of on road parking
Very quiet location, ample parking.
It is visible in the facilities and amenities that the hotel was built in 1993. The current 4-star standard is far from reaching.
Close to highway;fast check/in-out.They have one Sky English language channel (hurray!).
Since the prices for overnight stay have increased(by more than 60%),I would assume that the services would be better, but they remained the same-you still have to ask for slippers and bathrobe at reception(they could mention/inform you that these services are available),you still have to wait for the restaurant to call you for you to go and pick up the food and they don't.More than this, the parking is now subjected to a fee, thus forcing the guests to park on the other side of the street where are enough available free park places (what do you win using this ''marketing'' strategy??)Last to mention would be that in the swimming area there was a very strong nasty smell of urin/sewer which made bathing impossible. As a long time customer to this hotel,I must say I am dissapointed.I am sure you can do better.
Good stop over on the way to Berlin from Frankfurt.
The management of the hotel has lots to improve. I requested an extra bed when I booked the room. They didn't take any notice about it until I reminded them during checking in. The extra bed didn't set up either after we returned to the hotel after dinner at about 22:30. I asked the receptionist to setup an extra bed again but he only handed me the bed linen and duvet and asked me to make up the bed myself.
