Excellent 10.0
Pros: Welcoming host, nothing too much bother... Clean, great location, comfortable would definately recommend and go back. Breakfast choice amazing and tasty
Cons: Tv a bit small for size of room, hardly any channels
Excellent 9.0
Pros: From the moment we arrived nothing was to much trouble for our hosts who made us feel like we had known them years, the room was fantastic. Opening the patio doors to take in the view was worth the money alone but the standard of the room was also excellent. Breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: Would have liked two chairs on the patio.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean and quiet.Met by the owner who was very pleasant and helpful. We felt very safe with the Covid-19 situation too.Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything, they were so friendly and helpful. The views from the property are amazing. Most places overlook the quality of detail for the single rooms, not here, it was amazing size and quality. I just wished I could of stayed longer
Cons: NA
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful location with stunning views. The couple who run the b&b were very friendly and could not have done more to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast was lovely. The bedroom was spotless and modern with very comfortable beds. Certainly one of our better stays on our trip around the NC500 I would recommend this B&B to anyone.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this b&b
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic host, made us feel very welcome
Cons: Room a bit small
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The people who owned the property were very accommodating they had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, there was a table in room to eat at but not much about for eve meal so make sure you book somewhere to eat The scrambled eggs were the best I’ve ever eaten The view was amazing overlooking Kiess Castle and vey close to John O groats
Cons: Nothing it was great and excellent for the price
Good 7.0
Pros: Lovely staff. Breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfy and well worth the money. Would recommend
Cons: Could have had more tea and coffee

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Easily accessible and plenty parking space.
Cons: N/a
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely friendly hotel. Staff worked very hard to look after you. Room exceptional standard. Very clean and bed very comfortable. Food was nice. Drinks (cheapest wine) on the pricy side £18 for bottle of Pinot Grigo. Lovely location right next to a beautiful beach. Would definitely go back.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room and food were perfectly acceptable.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We chose the hotel because it's convenient for an early morning crossing to Orkney but if you fancy a stroll it's also right beside a most beautiful beach. The room was a bit small but quiet, very well equipped and recently decorated. Plenty of car parking and warm welcome on arrival. The Covid policy was sensible and everyone seemed to follow the guidelines.
Cons: The restaurant menu wasn't to our liking. I'm wheat intolerant and can't eat spicy food. Breakfast choices were better.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Convenient location for north coast, beaches and ferries to Orkneys
Cons: Dinner so-so

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and well managed family hotel. Only a few bedrooms and ours (number4) was roomy with copious hot water for a lovely bath after a long day on the motorbike.
Cons: Nothing - honestly, nothing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was clean, very good Covid measures in place and a delicious breakfast. Great shower too! Great location to stop ahead of catching any ferries. Staff was also very polite and friendly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Comfy bed. Large bathroom with good shower.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed at Nethercliffe for just one night but we wish we stayed for longer. We had 2 double bedrooms and both of them were considerably large compared to the average hotel rooms. The rooms were super clean and the shower room was neat and tidy as well. On-site restaurant serves some uncomplicated nice food and I loved their coffee at breakfast. Bar is of decent size and stocks good enough range to satisfy most. There’s also a nicely maintained small bear garden at the back of the hotel. All the staffs were very helpful and so was Helen. Loved our stay.
Cons: I think the common areas such as the carpets on the stairs and hallway and also the decor in the living room, restaurant and bar could be upgraded and that would bring in a fresh new look to the place.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly & helpful staff. Great location.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff welcoming and friendly. Room comfortable, breakfast (huge portion) very good quality produce.
Cons: Tired decor, but we would certainly stay here again. Would benefit from private car parking facilities.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a family run hotel and I was extremely comfortable and well looked after. A lovely breakfast cooked individually and a packed lunch on request. Would definitely go back if I am in Wick again. Thank you Helen and Mervin!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The owner and staff made us very welcome, Bed was clean and comfy, rooms nice and warm Brilliant shower. Food was very good too.
Good 7.6
Pros: Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. It was quiet. It was very close to everything in town
Cons: The double bed in room 4 was VERY hard...much too firm. I had to double blankets/comforters in order to be able to sleep on it.

Good 6.0
Pros: Location was great, restaurant was good, staff very friendly
Cons: We booked an apartment in a separate block, unfortunately the apartment is in need of a complete upgrade and was overpriced. We complained and the hotel acknowledged the problem and relocated us to a satisfactory room on the 3rd floor of the main hotel. We still ended up paying far too much however for what we got.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and central
Cons: The hotel was a little dated, could do with a revamp. The bed was uncomfortable so didn’t get a great night sleep.
Good 6.0
Pros: The hotel was convenient. We enjoyed the food in the Bistro. Breakfast was nice as well.
Cons: Building was tired and desperately needs upgraded. Our bedroom was on a slope! The room was quite small. Carpet looked like it had seen better days. Decided not to look under the bed!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were great, breakfast was fab too, hotel was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Property great, not much in Wick
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: Very helpful and personable staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: a lovely family friendly hotel. Staff very attentive and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: The only downside is that I found the hotel too hot! Wasn't an issue in bedroom as I could open windows and turn radiator off.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Really enjoyed our time in Oban in this well run guest house. A nice stroll along the waterfront to several restaurants. The owner was very attentive and made us feel welcome.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Rooms were very nicely decorated bed super comfy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners make the place wonderful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely. Guest house in good central location and great stop on NC500 route
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great spot in the centre of town. A converted bank so high ceilings etc. Room was really nicely furnished and owner very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. No allocated parking but there is a well lit public car park directly behind the building. We left motorcycles there and they were perfectly fine. Great stop for the NC500.
Cons: Seagulls were noisy (a few nesting on the chimneys outside) but not a great deal you can do about that if you want to stay near the coast.
Good 7.0
Pros: Very nice and cosy place. Friendly staff.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were well looked after and breakfast was superb. Brought to us on a trolley with hot plates to keep it hot while we had our cereal.
Cons: Nothing.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Location
Cons: The room had wild life walking around it. It was filthy. I had room 3 with a private bathroom... no way it was 3 doors away across the landing and was filthy and the door wouldn’t lock. I could have grown spuds in the grime. Appalling. Coffee machine in room was so dirty, I was afraid to use it. Checked out early in disgust. Wood lice in bedroom.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable bad, good shower. Good views. Breakfast served to the room. Lady was lovely and helpful
Cons: Breakfast was ok
Good 6.0
Pros: Very clean room, friendly staff
Cons: No facilities for breakfast other than in the room, the breakfast was average, others offered haggis, kippers, more choice and sausages weren’t great.
Good 7.0
Pros: Breakfast in the room was good
Cons: The cost was a little too high up to others we stayed in this week and were in better condition. Could of been a bit cleaner and there was a constant smell of cigarette smoke
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room had few nice extras, like nespresso machine, Netflix and wireless charger for the phone. Also great view and breakfast was served in the bedroom
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff very helpful

Pros: Everything John and Nicole very welcoming, attentive and nothing was too much bother Very clean Great location Great food Good value for money
Cons: N/A
Okay 5.0
Pros: Perfect for a quick over night stop, the host was lovely and very accommodating. clean rooms/bathroom just a little dated. Nice fluffy duvet and pillows.
Cons: The mattresses were far to soft, you could feel the base of the bed when you sat down. Had agreed a cooked breakfast rate and was told when we arrived it would only be continental and the cost of cooked was taken off. Could hear everything from the room next door. Given other stays on our trip were lower in price with better accommodation this just was a little disappointing, but it was fit for our purpose of a quick overnight stop.

Cons: The photo had been taken a long time ago of the hotel and the location town of Wick wasn’t what we expected reading the description. Possibly COVID has caused all the closures of businesses.

Cons: The hotel itself was dated the staff where lovely very helpful for and pleasant manageress was lovely we went to the sister hotel the pentlandi in Thurso and it was amazing .. ...
