The hotel is dog friendly but dog had to stay in the car when we were not in the room, such as when using the dining room where the food was superb. The view was fantastic, from the dining room and from the lodge we were in. The staff were really friendly but the service was good, not outstanding
Ambience, excellent food and wine, very attentative staff who are flexible. Rooms are very good and well serviced
The exercise facility could be a little better
very friendly staff and most helpful, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Beautiful setting for having drinks on patio.
The service was exceptional and the standard of the food was even better. The hotel is faintly old-fashioned but that is not a criticism. It exudes refinement, quality and luxury whilst being extremely professionally run. Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.
It's a little quirky - ie an old house - but this isn't a major criticism at all.
Service from staff was excellent. Food excellent
The room was poor value. Facing rear of the hotel, overlooking bin store and carpark, Had to have window curtains closed during day for privacy due to fact that room visible from rear footpath. Room and rear extension was very cold on arrival compared to main building which was warm and cosy... I would not be happy to accept a room like this again but I am certain that this is the exception as the rest of the hotel was fine.
Friendliness of staff.Position of Hotel is superb. Meals were much to our liking as they were what might be called Nouveau Cuisine, but might not have been sufficient for some people.
Would have liked Tea and Coffee facilities in room.
