best place in the area
Room quality. Nicer than most apartments. Front desk staff was very helpful, and the fact that they throw in breakfast and dinner really helps out a lot. This is WAY better than anything in the area that I researched. Room had a nice TV, with accessible USB ports (not those hotels that block them so you can't plug anything else in). Nice kitchen area had utensils, microwave, huge refrigerator, and a sink. Bed was king size and plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean, linens were clean, and the wifi worked well enough to stream firestick, etc. Also like that I only had to enter the password ONCE, and not every DAY, like a lot of other hotels. The chef at dinner time was very nice, and wanted to know how I enjoyed the food every night - soliciting feedback, etc. Both meals provided, while not 5 star food were very good and plentiful. Compared to what you get when you pay FAR more in Vegas or NYC, this place was a good value. Parking was also not an issue.
I found some of the staff during the meals and roaming the hallways to be a bit terse. I know New Yorkers are different but I expected a lighter demeanor for someone in the hospitality industry. There were several instances where I had to track someone down in the dining area to bus the table from the people who had eaten there before me, or to simply ask for a diet soda to drink. There is plenty of coffee and tea, but no other drinks unless you ask for them. Reminding a customer that they COULD be charged for a soda seems a little ridiculous when the food, fruit, and cookies, are unlimited. My room bordered a courtyard, per my request - however I didn't know it would be outside the two meeting rooms. There were times where it got a bit noisy, but didn't really impact me too much. I'm not going to complain about the layout, but if you go there expecting total silence you should ask for a room away from such a place. There was an ant in the bed the first night, and a beetle in the bathroom the second night.... in April. I know I didn't bring them, but what can you do? It wasn't an infestation. I would still stay at this place before going anywhere else in the area.

Nice but in need of an upgrade
Good location with large but uninteresting accommodations.
Dissatisfied with housekeeping. Didn't get to our room until after 5;00 pm. Slipshod job - took but did not replace coffee cups. Did not replace coffee pods despite requests. For this price point expected better.

About
Overview
The Inn At Fox Hollow Hotel is an all-suite boutique hotel located on Long Island's North Shore. Despite its more northern location, the interior of The Inn At Fox Hollow will transport guests to another place thanks to its central courtyard filled with tropical plants, flowers, and shrubs. The interior space is beautifully decorated, with an eclectic mix of furniture, high ceilings, and dark natural wood accents.
The Inn At Fox Hollow is one of the few all-suite hotels available, with 145 units available for visitors to stay in. Every room in the hotel has an in-room coffee maker, a kitchenette, spa robes with slippers, and high-definition televisions. The rooms come in three different layouts: the Studio, the One Bedroom, and the spacious Royal Suites with a California King bed as well as an iMac computer, wet bar, wine refrigerator, and an oversized bathroom.
The Inn At Fox Hollow's in-house restaurant is Volpe Ristorante. This eatery combines classic Italian recipes with contemporary design and feel. Throughout the week, Volpe serves dishes like linguine in white clam sauce, herb roasted chicken and stuffed portabella rustica. However, on certain days, Volpe rolls out a special menu. Specifically, Thursdays have a signature lobster menu on Wednesday and a prime rib menu on Thursday.
The Inn At Fox Hollow is near some fantastic attractions. The heart of New York City is just a short trip away, but there are plenty of great things to see much closer than that. Visitors can go check out the Gold Coast mansions, Jones Beach State Park, Nikon theater, and can go watch the New York Mets play at Citi Field.
