The whole experience. The apartment was great. Extremely modern, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen had a hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine with a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate pods, kettle and toaster. A good selection of pans, cooking utensils and crockery. The loung had a comfy sofa and a good tv with a selection of channels in various languages. The bedroom had a very comfy king size bed and plenty of hanging space with hangers. The shower was a walk in, with plenty of room and lots of hot water. Good toiletries and towels. Sliding doors from the lounge led out onto a patio, overlooking the lake with a table and four chairs. There is plenty of space for parking your car. There is a nice walk round the lake and also a little bar, crazy golf, pedallos and further round a little petting zoo for the little ones. Britta, the hotel owner, is very friendly and has great local knowledge on where to visit. We really enjoyed our 3 nights and would not hesitate to come back.
Excellent facilities. Immaculate presentation. Spotlessly clean. Gorgeous bathroom. Huge comfy bed and even the sofa bed was huge and a proper mattress on that too. Kitchen had everything you would need. Complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast beautifully fresh and brought to your apartment at a mutually arranged time. What a treat . Britta was friendly and spoke brilliant English, putting us to shame. Beautiful setting looking across the lake, could have stayed forever. Would not hesitate to book again for longer and investigate the area this time too.
That we only had one night there !
I hope we can come again and witness the location's beauty during a warmer season because of the surroundings. 1. Hotel Haus Broichtal's staff are really SUPERB and went out of their way to be helpful. 2. The apartments are very spacious, nicely equipped and boast an immense amount of storage: one could move in and stay permanently. 3. Gorgeous views, very peaceful and quiet. 4. The location is perfect to explore Aachen and surroundings (if you have a car). We even went to Maastricht in Holland and it only took around 40 minutes to drive there. 5. Very generous automatic hot beverage machine with free coffees, teas, hot chocolate pods. 6. Lots of free parking. 7. Wonderful large shower with plenty of water. 8. Heated towel holders. 9. Nice kitchen. It was more than a kitchenette. 10. Nicely heated in the winter. 11. Comfortable beds.
The points below in no way take away from a perfect score, which they deserve 100%, because the positives make up for these rather minor issues: 1. The light to the bathroom in our room was linked to bright lamps on top of the wardrobe in the bedroom. This, coupled with very loud glass sliding door to the toilet made it a bit inconvenient to use the facilities at night. 2. The entrance to the hotel and two of the apartments is at the bottom of the house, necessitating rolling/carrying suitcases down/up a bit of a hill. It was ok for us but maybe this could be an issue for some people. Best to inquire if you have a lot of heavy luggage that you are unable to move over 2 flights of stairs if someone could help or if your rooms are in the top part of the building that are flush with the street. 3. No proper straight-bladed knife, or good cutting board in the apartment we stayed at, but rest was excellent! 4. If only they had more than 4 apartments!
Amazing place to stay , very clean ,great location and a lot of space . love it
