Reviews about Biwa Monogatari
“Pick up service, and luckily for us, two of the owners friend was there and took care of us, driving us around and showed us around in the small village. And of course the very kind owner!”
“The staff were kind and made us feel at home. The bath was spacious.”
“The owner is beyond charming and extremely kind. She went out of her way to help us around the local area was always available to pick us up from the station. The private onsen is an awesome feature. Biwa Monogatari is a great place to stay and I am happy to give it my highest recommendation.”
“We had a great stay. It's a quiet family owned hotel in a private house in a sleepy neighbourhood up in the hills. The hot bath with herbs in the evening was very nice and relaxing. There's a common dining room downstairs were you can meet other guests while having a breakfast or a snack. We were offered free coffee in the morning. The landlady was extremely welcoming and helpful. She met us at the station and even took us by car down to the Izu-Taga station or the beach every day, which was a blessing, the Japanese sun in August being what it is. She recommended the best spot to watch the Anjin-sai fireworks in Ito. When we failed to buy a power adapter for Japanese plug socket on our first day, she lent us a couple of her own phone chargers. The night before, we stayed in an automated robot hotel in Tokyo for novelty's sake. I have to say I liked the Biwa monogatari's warm human interaction much better.”
