10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Hotel is excellent, we really enjoyed our overnight stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything, the staff was very polite and helpful, the room was very nice and clean, and the breakfast was super good! Super close to the train station, and 10 min walk to the medieval town.
7.7 Good
Pros: Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room a bit dated, but very well equipped and spacious. Clean. Breakfast buffet was an excellent selection. Good location being walkable into the centre, but far enough out to have car parking and to be easy to find by car. Also close to station. Great value for money. We had a lovely stay and would book again.
Cons: A few minor things - water was a very strange colour, window wouldn't stay open and room was very warm. The undergound car park is tiny and very difficult to manoeuvre into spaces. This wasn't too much of a problem as there were not many guests with cars when we stayed, but might be an issue in high season.
6.7 Good
Pros: We all had a very pleasent stay
Cons: I thought that all the staff on the reception desk should have been able to speak English. Parking should have been free thought that was expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Well sign posted so easy to find. A lovely hotel delightfully decorated and within walking distance of Avila's attractions.
7.0 Good
Pros: Helpful staff, convenient for old town, excellent breakfast but a bit over priced.Parking a five minute walk to an underground park, expensive but very secure.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location is fine, it takes about 20 minutes walk to the historical center. There is traffic in the street, but it was rather quiet in the night. The room was nice and spacious. The hotel has its own garage.
Cons: Some of the staff did not speak English. There is no own restaurant, only a bar. This bar offered small meals but unfortunately was full of smoke.
7.6 Good
Pros: We liked this hotel for its proximity to the train station. We also like the way the hotel is decorated - antique furniture creating an ambiance of royalty, representative of the Kingdom. Very well done. Staff are very helpful. Hotel room is very clean. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to try their breakfast which I'm sure will be great as well.
Cons: Nothing at all.
6.4 Good
Pros: Easy to find, good central location and comfortable room
Cons:

8.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice old building tucked away on a narrow street next to the cathedral. It also has a delightful outdoor restaurant next to the walls - pricey though. Our room was on the first floor with the small balcony overlooking the walls. You get a lot of conversation from the street with the windows open, but it’s not an issue when they are closed at night - good air conditioning if it gets too hot. The hotel has a traditional feel and is very clean. No lift, but a member of staff carried our cases upstairs. Decent breakfast, but it is extra - 6€. A bonus is the parking - easy to get to, but I recommend watching the YouTube video on their website first. Downside is the cost at 12€ a day.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location inside the wall. Near the Cathedral and entrance to Muralla de Avila. Has parking available
Cons: The staff wasn’t friendly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a truly amazing location, lots to see and do. Will certainly make a return visit next year
Cons: To be honest everything was fantastic

Pros: Loved the ambience of the whole place, also very clean, and rooms were spacious. Close to all in the walled city, yet quiet location with lovely dining room and outdoor terrace with bar and food onsite. Highly recommend.
Cons: Rooms could have had a night light.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, very helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous, inside Avila’s walls, we travelled by motorbike and the parking for the bike was perfect, behind a locked gate. Be sure to follow the video on the website, this takes you straight in :) gorgeous, huge room and bathroom, all super clean, loads of character. The breakfast was considerately adapted for us vegetarians and was great quality. Avila is stunning and we will definitely head for this hotel next time :)
7.9 Good
Pros: Hotel is in a lovely old building in the historic old town. It has a good resturant.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Location is great. Ambience is great. Definitely would recommend it.
Cons: WiFi was very slow. Room was good but could have had more facilities.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great! I liked the stone and wood decor.
Cons: We didn't like having to walk through the restaurant to get out of the hotel. We would have liked to pay in cash, but understand it is typical to only accept cards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect and my room was very clean. It is just next to the ancient walls which is convenient for enjoying the day and night view of the walls. There is an observatory just one minute away, I recommend to go there in the morning for the panoramic countryside view. The local pastry on Calle Caballeros opposite of the Soul Kitchen Restaurant was a surprise found. The gentleman sells both pastry and coffee. So if you are looking for really local pastry of NO fancy souvenir packaging, that is the one and it is just two minutes from the hotel.
Cons: Wifi log-in was not always smooth.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was ideal for visiting the old walled town. Although it didn't have parking, it was easy to find free parking very close by. We were impressed by the excellent signing in machine as we arrived when the receptionist had left. It was very quiet in our room on the ground floor. The experience of being in a hotel in the walls of the historic town was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing at all.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: For British guests need a kettle in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Newly renovated room. Tastfully done. Perfect location at the citywall. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast with excellent coffee.
Cons: Breakfastbackgroundmusic is not what pleases us partilarly !! The same is applicable for the musical performance in the restaurant that can be heard in the hotelroom dowmstairs since its not sound proof. Just simply skip it ! Silence is a luxuourious good.

Cons: Nothing
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: - location (right next to a gate in the walls to get inside old town)
Cons: - right outside our window was street, basically we didn't have a window, we had to shut down blinders - room was tiny - weird rule "no food inside rooms". We consider it rude - that's not a hostel shared room and also we didn't read that in the hotel description in advance! - the sink in the bathroom was tiny and shallow - public parking is 16,5 euros per day
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect for visiting Avila as the hotel is just outside one of the gates into the walled city. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
Cons: Bathroom shower is a little small and tight. Lacking in extra hand towels and shower mat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the city. Clean room with comfy bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Garage parking for motorbikes next door. Guy even helped fix broken indicator on my bike and lent me his tools!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location
Cons: Breakfast was very poor for 3.50 euros. Only a coffee and toast or cake.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location and parking very good room was good
Cons: if they want to have more tourist all they need is to learn more languages they only speak spanish the place is great and the hotel is very good

9.0 Excellent
Pros: A good value and wonderful location. Room was pleasant and bathroom too. Staff was friendly and helpful!
Cons: It would have been nice to have access to hot beverages in the room or lobby. As Americans, we found the restaurant hours frustrating. Hot water ran out after a short shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price-quality could not be better
7.9 Good
Pros: Hot water on demand
Cons: No wifi in room. Had to goto lobby to get a connection. I was counting on having the wifi connection in the evenings in the privacy of my room.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is so wonderful.
Cons: The lady on reception was abrupt and constantly on the phone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and quiet building in an excellent location. The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was exceptionally tasty.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location. Clean. Staff very helpful. Interesting building. Our room overlooked the square and we had evening sun pouring in from 4pm to 7pm.
Cons: There wasn't really anything which could have been improved upon - maybe investing in more routers to enable WiFi in rooms. Had to sit in reception to get reliable WiFi.
6.0 Good
Pros: It is located inside the ancient city near the wall. It is interesting to stay there for one night.
Cons: Their dinner was excellent and worth trying it. However, their breakfast was bad and too expensive. I've asked them to reduce the price.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room is clean and good. The hotel staff is good. Location is good. You can see the hostal sign around the main Road. The price the very good.
Cons: The shower room is too small.
7.7 Good
Pros: Lovely central location. Ideal for exploring Avila. Clean, recently refurbished. Good bar and restaurant serving traditional food. Staff obviously take pride in their establishment. Their presence was low key but they were very helpful and friendly.
7.3 Good
Pros: An excellent room representing good value for money. Good location in Avila, from which to explore the town. The traditional posada-like aspect of the reception and the spacious lounge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolutely terrific place to stay in Avila. Great location inside the town walls in a beautiful old house, everything is within walking distance. The hostal seems to have been recently renovated, bathroom equipment is brand new, everything is very clean. Room design is very beautiful, with old-style furniture, comfortable beds, nice posters on the walls, attention to details etc. The hall looks lovely too - there's a restaurant there but it was closed when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will totally recommend it to anyone going to Avila.
6.6 Good
Pros: fantastic location inside old city walls, very characterful rustic hotel, great restaurant and superb value for money.
Cons:
6.8 Good
Pros: Lovely olde worlde building with many original features. Basic rooms but very clean and great value, nice quiet location.
Cons: No on site parking so can be difficlut, if you are lucky you will manage to grab a public parking place very close to hotel (free in evenings after 8pm, but small fee until then)
6.4 Good
Pros: Nice room ; Good view Surprisingly quiet for centre of town
Cons: Had to put suitcase(s) on floor
7.6 Good
Pros: quiet, kind staff,
Cons: no hotel dedicated parking possibility
6.8 Good
Pros: Excellent value and a quality room, full of character and a very convenient location for exploring the town.
Cons: Unfortunate that the restaurant wasn't open on the night we arrived (closed Mondays) as it looks really good, but it wasn't difficult to find an alternative. Parking could be difficult with a car but not a problem for us as we were on motorcycles and could park outside the front door!

Pros: I liked the cleanness, comfortable bed, reasonable price, the sparkling bathroom.

Hotel Las Murallas - Ávila - Outdoors view
10
8.3 Excellent (1,384 reviews)
C$ 74+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Las Murallas places you in the heart of Avila, steps from Walls of Avila and Basilica de San Vicente. Featured amenities include express check-in, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Large room, comfortable bed, good shower.
Cons: Garage parking tight.
6.7 Good
Pros: Central location just outside the medieval walls. Off street parking at a price in a very tight garage. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Room was very dated and a bit dismal with very little natural light.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located just outside the wall of Avila. Glad we picked this hotel instead of inside the wall as we drove. Even if you are not driving to Avila, the accommodation is so easy to find and has everything you need. Parking was available under the hotel but you need to prebook it. Had a good night sleep but the bed did appear to be made out of rubber/foam. Personally not too fussed on these types of beds. The lovely man at reception spoke no English but thanks to Google translate it was not too much of a problem. Would stay again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very close to the main attraction the Wall (right across the road) and easy walking from Hotel to main gates and other attractions. Walk some of the alley ways to find less busy restaurants - the main roads around the Wall can get busy and noisy if you are looking for a quieter location for a meal. We pre-booked a car park with the Hotel which was undercover, this was a bonus.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and nice room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was good with excellent bed, showers and towels. Location was very close to the muralles.
Cons: Nothing worth mentioning.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good
Cons: We paid for secured parking for the 2 nights that we stayed at the hotel for 2 motorbikes instead of leaving them on the street, however, on our first night coming back from a night out we were asked to move the motorbikes to another bay which was not a problem, however, both bikes had already been tampered with and had already been tried to be moved. Both bikes had security locks on them and moving them without unlocking them could have seriously damaged the bikes. The bikes are how we have travelled around spain and how we intend to get back to the UK, when we questioned who had moved the motorbikes, we had the response, that they did not speak any english to understand, very disappointed with their attitude. The motorbikes are valuable in both money and as our means of transport and enjoyment, I would hate to have imagined what help we would have received if the bikes had been damaged.
Hotel El Rastro - Ávila - Building
11
8.3 Excellent (839 reviews)
C$ 45+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel El Rastro in Avila (Old Town of Avila), you'll be steps from Torreon de los Guzmanes and Walls of Avila. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel has no parking, but is very close to a public parking, just outside the walls. ( a modern parking, where you get no ticket at the entrance; your license plate is scanned. When paying you type in your licence plate number.)
Cons: No internet in the room, only in the lobby, and even there it was not always available. At night the light in the room was too poor to read. Breakfast was not offered (But I can highly recommend cafetaria Granier, calle Don Geronimo. A 5 minutes walk.)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice cosy room. Good heating in the Winter time. Excellent location in the Old Town Avila. Nice restaurants in a walking distance. Dog friendly hotel :-)
Cons: No breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed, exceptionally clean, quiet neighborhood, classy design, outstanding, incredibly well priced restaurant right next door! All-in-all, a superb experience!
Cons: Cannot think of anything I did not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, easy to walk anywhere in Avila, especially close to Teresa birthplace and cathedral in either direction, and walking by the beautiful walls at night sunset was fabulous. Nice receptionist.
Cons: Just that there were people taking in the nearby halls late, like 11:15pm, but Spain customs are later than my own home habits. Otherwise very comfortable.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: rude staff. this is not a hotel. its a small family run business, and poorly run! safety issues, electrical plugs out of place, hot water runs out, corridors without safety, broken walls, slight smell of sewage. Elevator gets you to between level 2 and 3, thus you get stairs. try go up and down with a stroller! one of the rooms had dust and smoke smells. there is no noise cancelling measures, therefore you hear everything that happens outside rooms. Forget getting directions from staff, you get a map and you are sent your way. Staff has no idea how bookings through the internet work. Took 15 mn to figure out if I had a reservation or not, even after showing confirmation.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Unfriendly staff, made a point of ignoring our needs and belittled my Mexican Spanish. Split twin beds and the bathroom smelled of middle age gutters.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful old building, charmingly renovated. Excellent location in a tranquil plaza.
Cons: A preoccupied receptionist, brusque and inattentive.Airconditioing wasn't working.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing ample room on the fourth floor, just opposite Torreón de los Guzmanes. Spotless room with charming views. Great location near the wall and puerta de El Rastro (El Rastro gate). Very kind staff. Really good value for money.
Cons: Air conditioning could have been more silent. Actually, I only had to use it one night, but it was quite noisy.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Modern and very clean. Reasonable size bedroom and a very nice shower room. Good value for money.
Cons: For the price there is nothing not to like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean hotel. We foun dit nice and quiet for sleeping. Very easy parking outside hotel. They also have an underground carpark but we didn't need to use it. Staff all nice and friendly and efficient. The room was basic but clean and tidy with a fridge and safe. TV only Spanish channels, no issue for us. Breakfast was fresh and a good selection. No hot bacon and eggs but plenty of other selections. A good value stay at 90 Euro with breakfast for two. The hotel is located on the edge of industrial area slightly unusual you do need a car.
Cons: I knew when booking that the hotel is a wee drive from town. No real issue for us as we had a car.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean rooms. Overall very good value for money, it is in industrial area but taxi to get to the centre is maybe 7 euro, and there was always available drivers. Accommodation staff was very nice and polite.
Cons: Reception staff was a bit 'cold', compared to other places we stayed in Spain. Beds are nice to sleep in, but if you'll need double bed there is no zip so it will keep splitting in the middle. More suitable as 2 single beds.

Pros: we had a junior suite and it was very nice. nice lounge area, big bed and bedroom and a bathroom which was bigger than some hotel rooms i have stayed in. every thing was clean and modern and very luxurious. would defiantly stay again if visiting avila. not much street parking around inside the walls of avila but you can drop off luggage 50 yards from the front door.
Cons: while going through the drawers in one of the desks in our room i found a hypodermic syringe. i took it down to reception and showed it to the man on the desk and he just tossed it in the bin, no apology or anything. good job i found it and not a child.
