Great reception staff
Cooked Breakfast was poor
We’ve stayed a couple of times now. The staff have always been lovely and are very friendly. The location of the hotel is great, right in the centre of town. The brekkie is freshly cooked and tasty. The beds are really comfy too.
The rooms are a little bit tired and could do with a repaint / updated bathrooms.
Breakfast was very good
Stairs and no lift. Breakfast started rather late for my plans.
Amazing bed. So comfortable. Even my partner who is a notoriously bad sleeper got 7 hours of solid sleep.
Room looked a little tired. Carpet could have done with a shampoo and a lock on the bathroom door was broken but nothing major wrong with it.
It is a very tired hotel, our room stank of the fryers below! The bathroom was small and the shower minute, the shower gel. Was empty and although we removed and used the basin hand soap in the shower this was not picked up on and still empty the next day. The room was basically clean but windows were single glazed and 1. In the room and 1 in the bathroom could not be securely closed. It would be unusable. In cold winter weather.
The paint on doors was filthy and removed by many hands, it might be clean but it felt grubby.
