Pros: Great welcome when I needed a stop over at very short notice , very clean , comfortable plus a superb breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location great for Banbury - host offered me a choice of room on arrival
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stopped here before and, on arrival, we remembered why: a large, clearly marked car park; a warm welcome from our hosts Ayman and Julie; a large, attractive and well-equipped room with a huge and comfortable bed; a good shower; a very tasty well-cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and a friendly farewell. The Guest House is located on the main road down to Banbury but is very peaceful. We had an annexe room with a private entrance which was convenient for our late return back from the Banbury Folk Festival.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and tidy. Nice relaxed atmosphere and staff always very helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent room though rather warm, even with the radiators off. Would definitely return, but to an upstairs room where we can open the window at night. Breakfast was very good, but the bacon was overcooked and the eggs were soaked in oil. Even so we would recommend this hotel to our friends.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, quiet, clean, extremely comfortable and very large bed with plenty of space around it. The restaurant/ bar food was exceptional quality at reasonable prices, though not particularly busy in the restaurant the main meal did take a while to be delivered, which wasnt a problem to us. The breakfast was superb (not a buffet ) which makes a great difference. The staff were very friendly and we will return again without question. Ideal location for bicester oxford area in addition to the cotswolds including Burford.
Cons: Arriving in heavy rain , the car park does require tarmacing and drainage.
7.1 Good
Pros: Big rooms.
Cons: Quality of the steak for dinner was very poor, told that it would be taken off the bill but was not.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent fluffy towels
Cons: Pastry selection not always available at breakfast. Faulty shower control .
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a beautiful location. The village though very small was very idyllic. The room was clean. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious - we had the duck which was very tender.
Cons: The service was pretty average which was a shame and important to us. It was a sunny day so a few people had drinks outside... a few hours later those empty glasses were still there. At the meal they started strong and then almost forgot about us as another event was on. The bar was pretty awful, really bright and brash. Lots of the staff stood around chatting very loudly (even about their other jobs working at different hotel chains) and came across quite unprofessional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location Lovely staff Comfy room
Cons: All great no negatives

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, old worldly charm, excellent restaurant for dinner. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Continental breakfast in your room was rather sparse and a bit difficult sitting on the bed. Also no wardrobe space unless you used one in the corridor. May be difficult if stopping more than one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean comfortable room. Staff lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly, nice facility not above pub but on side of pub so easy to get to late at night. Breakfast facilities provided in room. Quiet, comfortable bed and spacious.
Cons: The light and fan in the bathroom are connected and the fan has a circa 10 min run over-annoying if you go to the bathroom in the night. For anyone attending Aynho park which we were it’s a good location but the downside which isn’t the pub’s fault is taxis won’t come out to the pub. It 4 mins down the road and too far too walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay, walk along the canal and the bar staff actually all staff and customers alike were so friendly The only improvement would be cooked breakfast
Cons: A cooked breakfast
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
Cons: THERE WAS NO ENGLISH BREAKFAST, ONLY CEREALS. THE BED MATRES WAS TOO SAGGIE AND OUT OF SHAPE WITH BROKEN SPRINGS AND VERY NOISY WHEN MY HUSBAND MOVED. THE BATHROOM BASIN PLUG DID NOT HOLD THE WATER FOR A SHAVE, THE TOILET SEAT WAS LOOSE AND STOOK TO THE WALL (UNABLE TO CLOSE SOMETIMES) BATHROOM FAN DID NOT WALK TO CLEAR THE MIRROR FOR SHAVING. THE BATHROOM DOOR HANDLE WAS BROKEN AND I WAS LOOKED INSIDE SO, MY HUSBAND HAD TO PULL THE DOOR WITH GREAT FORCE TO OPEN IT. (FRIGHTENING FOR A PERSON ON THIER ALONE) THE CARS AT THE FRONT PASS VERY FAST SO CHILDREN MIGHT BE AT RISK.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The food was very nice for our evening meal and the beer was very good. Staff were friendly and the pub itself is very nice.
Cons: There was no heating in our room which meant the bathroom was quite cold. Also I think for the price paid for the room breakfast should be included and not just a selection of cereal in the room.

Pros: Room was warm. Very welcoming open fire in entrance foyer. Comfortable and welcoming. Good breakfast.
Cons: More coffee and more toast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very friendly atmosphere, with gorgeous surroundings.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old property with lush open fire on arrival. Yummy breakfast as well.
Cons: Liked everything but it was a bit difficult being on the top floor as I’m over 7 months pregnant and dragging my case up and down the stairs was a bit awkward but that’s probably my own fault for booking so late :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast, the staff very helpful the location . Nice that they have a lounge also once you check out. I was able to stay a little longer until the rain stopped.
Cons: The noisy floors as some guests were up and down having cigarettes outside and also banging the main door. But the first night wasn t noisy I guess depends on how many want to smoke I guess. The bathroom was small for me ok. But a bigger person would not had got past the basin to the shower. Also the bathroom can only open half way. I guess every room is different though.

Cons: We liked everything about it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Modern, Clean, Quite and an excellent restaurant. Good food and a particularly fine breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: From the moment I arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and service were excellent with a good choice of wines and evening meals. Both newly appointed bar managers were very friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable. The room was a little dated and could do with a refurb but the bed was very comfortable and the room itself was surprisingly peaceful, I slept very well. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked as was the evening meal, good home comforts. It will be a regular stay for me for work.
Cons: The room needs refurbishing but still comfortable
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Apart from the bed problem the room was fine, nice and clean and I slept well. The breakfast was excellent pretty much anything you want freshly cooked to order and very nicely cooked too! also the usual drinks, cerials and toast. So much better than the buffet set up at so many hotels.
Cons: We booked two separate rooms and one of them wasn't made up properly. The bed hadn't been made, not a big problem but it's never happened to me before.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for my work. Rooms are comfy and clean. Food absolutely lovely both evening meal and breakfast. Would be a fantastic summer stay now the outer areas are complete.
Cons: Floor in room is tiled and can be slippy on the rugs.

Cons: The food could have been better but to be fair they were very short of staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food is lovely, service is welcoming and friendly. Room was a good size and clean.

Pros: I chose this hotel as it was about halfway home from Portsmouth and we docked in port at 21:40 ish after a 6 hour drive in France, a stopover was needed for safety! The hotel was deceptively large and as we arrived after midnight quite dark! Breakfast, which was varied with excellent choices, was included in the price.

5.4 Okay
Pros: I loved the location, great for going to the restaurants. The staff were really friendly too.
Cons: The breakfast times weren’t early enough. The bedroom was noisy as above a public house. The parking was hit & miss as not many spaces. The bedroom looked a lot nicer in the photo than in reality, it could do with a freshen up Noisy uneven floorboards. Shower was actually in the bedroom so room was really steamy Extractor fan didn’t work Both woke up with bites all over us, assuming it was bed bugs. Bed was really hard

Cons: The evening staff were a little rushed and minor mistakes were made.

Pros: We loved the quaintness of the inn. It was such a nice warm welcoming place and we would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was in a very convenient location and within easy walking distance of the town and the train station.
Cons: Unfortunately it was far too warm in the bedroom! Although there was a fan in the room, there was still not enough cool air coming in, which made it a little uncomfortable for sleeping at night.

Cons: n/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, but felt the staff hadn't prepared sufficiently for the wedding party all meeting at breakfast time.
Cons: Organisation for the wedding party. A number of the food bowls were empty, which was disappointing as I felt we had paid a lot of money for our stay. Was also disappointed that the hotel couldn't supply a spare mattress for our granddaughter (aged 2). We had to bring our own. This was due to having to swap rooms as a member of the party needed a ground floor room as was in a wheelchair. I felt the hotel could have made an extra effort. I think that is what sets the best hotels apart from the rest!
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely old building, loads of cariter.
Cons: The weather Could do with more choice of real ale, only two on offer

Cons: The Guest House entrance is at the traffic lights so a bit tricky to negotiate but fine once you know where it is.

Cons: Shower/toilet little cramped

Pros: The owners are kind, our room was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy, king size,we slept like a log. There’s a hospitality tray. huge towels in the bathroom. We chose Ashlea’s full English, delicious. Fruits, croissants, cereals are options as well. Lovely stay, would come back.

Pros: It was self catering and the fact that it was only five mins from Town, was a bonus. All facilities were excellent WIFI TV etc.

Pros: Everything was perfect. Had a pleasant stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location - 2 minute walk to the town centre. The apartment block was located in a quiet area away from the road, with plenty of off street parking as part of the complex. Very quiet at night. Apartments are fully stocked (kitchen to bathroom towels, toilet rolls, shower gel etc) and provided with a welcome pack (tea/coffee biscuits etc). Easy access to the apartment. Key (credit card type) obtained via a coded box by the block main access door. Didn't see the host ( though didn't have reason to do so). This was not an issue. Great place to stay & very clean.
Cons: Just a couple a marks on the walls (nothing that a quick paint over wouldn't fix)- apartment 3. The key is a credit card type which we didn't realise when opening the key safe. This delayed our access to the apartment as we were looking for an actual key (a neighbour informed us the card was the key). It may aid future guests to be informed that the key is the credit card type located within the safe box.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were beautiful. Bed very comfortable
5.0 Okay
Cons: My breakfast was overcooked, an offer was made to bring a new one but I didn't have time to wait.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and hospitable owner welcomed us and made us feel "at home" from the moment we arrived. Superb breakfast in this old historic building with original low beams and construction.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The food is excellent. I had a fillet steak and although it was a little undercooked, it was lovely. The mushrooms sauce was stunning.
Cons: The evening staff were a little rushed and minor mistakes were made.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: My colleques have stayed in this hotel previously, and said the food was fantastic, unfortunitly this was not the case, and I hope I do not have to stay there again.
Cons: It was very dark, downstairs, the man was very pleasant but quite creepy if im honest.

Cons: Can't say anything bad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A little gem. Not what I was expecting at all. Great little find. Went for a mates wedding and he recommended we stay above this pub. Our room was spacious and well decorated. Staff were all great, great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the quaintness of the inn. It was such a nice warm welcoming place and we would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was in a very convenient location and within easy walking distance of the town and the train station.
Cons: Unfortunately it was far too warm in the bedroom! Although there was a fan in the room, there was still not enough cool air coming in, which made it a little uncomfortable for sleeping at night.
