Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay , The people are so nice and always ready to help you , we loved our stay and would do it again , We never met a person at this resort or for that matter on all of St Kitts or Nevis that wasn't smiling and anxious to make your stay great.
Cons: Food and drinks were way overpriced. Breakfast was very good and worth it if you split meals ( they are quite large) . Other food was good , but in our opinion overpriced. There are a lot of other restaurants on the island with great food for a lot less money . This was the only issue we had with the whole place
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Brand new modern property with stylish Caribbean character. Views out to Nevis. Several well appointed pools with a lovely stretch of beach. Fantastic staff who are delighted to help guests in a friendly efficient manner. We were sad to leave and look forward to returning.
Cons: Nothing

Good 6.0
Pros: Considering the impression of the resort and amenities we expected compared to what we actually had were vastly different and disappointing. I wish we had a better understanding of what you can access during the COVID protocols.
Cons: Most employees acted like we were putting them out when it came to customer service. We wish that the wellness center was better communicated as a medical center instead of a spa and that customers cannot access the casino. Also, there are no excursions after the 7 day negative COVID test. The gym time is limited to a three hour morning block while in quarantine. Also have way through the stay the room deliveries stopped with no explanation.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was amazing!
Cons: Need better gym and new equipment
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was amazing! The property was cute and the grounds were beautiful. We ate every meal there except one lunch out during the day. It was easy to arrange a rental car. The main restaurant was excellent!! Breakfast (included) was very good. The whole atmosphere was ideal. I highly recommend this property.
Cons: The rooms need better lighting. Just some higher watt light bulbs would help. A light in the ceiling fan would be ideal. The worst complaint was the neighbor’s rooster that must have had insomnia since he crowed ALL night. 😂
Poor 1.0
Cons: This is NOT even close to a 4 star hotel. It is more of a 2 star. Very basic and nothing nice about it. They had no path to the room so we had to walk with our luggage through grass and dirt. The beach didn’t have enough chairs and they didn’t even give you water. You had to pay for a small bottle of water. The room was not comfortable and towels were frayed and old.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My husband and I came here in May 2019 to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary. We liked it so much that we came back with my parents between Christmas and New Years the same year. Lovely staff, amazing food, beautiful grounds. The taxi driver that the resort uses — Calvin — is the best. Thank you for another great stay! We’ll be back.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was amazing every morning; staff knew our names and treated us like family from day one. The owner, Tim, was very cordial and responsive when requests were made (and he made recommendations); and the whole experience being away from the hustle and bustle was incredible. AND, the entire staff was awesome to us even though the PRESIDENT OF TAIWAN came one day for an important event that you KNOW the staff had to be on EXTRA best behavior. It did not effect their ability to maintain gracious and efficient service to us "plain folks" LOL. And Leonora was a delight to work with from the time I made original reservations.
Cons: Hubbie being picky guy that he is about beer and coffee just thought the coffee could have been better and there could have been larger beer selection.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very warm service. Perfect location to chill out.
Cons: Power cuts

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property was amazing for tourists who came to "vacation in place" during COVID. Most of the guests were Americans on spring break or vacations and never left the property. Still the property is expansive and although guests were "quarantined" we could make use of the many swimming pools, a jogging path around the property, the beach and several restaurants. We could also order food from outside which was delivered to our rooms. The rooms were cleaned regularly and everything felt very clean and safe and secure. The weather was beautiful and I spent days by the pool and on the beach and opened my windows at night to let the Caribbean breeze blow the curtains in. It was pure heaven!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean, comfortable room, nice beach. Convenient onsite shopping. Nice spa facilities and excellent treatments.
Cons: A lot of the resort looks like it hasn't been updated in 30 years. Some of the restaurants were closed. We were invaded by a cruise ship and the beach was very busy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, beach and people
Cons: yes you don't recycle
Okay 5.0
Pros: We liked the second room that we eventually were given. It was comfortable and spacious with the king bed and view we didn’t get when we checked in. We also were glad we could rent a car right there.
Cons: When we checked in, we were told we had been given an upgrade to our room. NOT! First, we were just given a key and sent on our way. There was no help with our luggage and no one to explain the room facilities like a normal Marriott experience. We knew why immediately! The room we were given had two double beds, disgustingly musty and water was draining out of the A/C unit in front of the sink area. This was a dangerous puddle of water! It was dreary and ugly! (this was room 422 in the main hotel area) The toilet was draining water onto the floor as well. They were hoping we would just deal with it. Out on the patio, the railing was rusted and pulling out of the floor. There was NO WAY I was going to accept that and we demanded the room we booked. It was only then that they gave us a decent room in the “villa” area. But even this room was dated. It was nearly impossible to get into the shower. The giant jacuzzi tub had no plug, so you couldn’t even fill it to see if it worked. On the second night in this room, the A/C went out. By night three, they had it fixed again. We ate dinner at the bar the first night and it was disappointing. After that, we went elsewhere for dinner. The breakfast was not included so we only ate it on our last morning. Again, disappointing. The tour desk people had NO idea what they were selling. You are directed to an iPad and told to read about the tours there. They couldn’t answer any questions about anything. This was not the Marriott experience we are accustomed to. 😕
Okay 4.0
Pros: Resort is good, however in the surrounding not much can be done. As you are not able to hire a car, you have to do everything by taxi which is expensive. On Wednesday, Greg's safari was not willing to provide the 4x4 sugar-plantation trip to us; probably because on Wednesday a lot of shops/restaurant are closed.
Cons: At arrival, no towels were in the room. When closing the room-door to ask the reception for towels, no reentering the room was possible because of lock-failure. When the reception-guy walked with us to go to see what is with the key-lock of the room, the towels we received were handed over to us, so we had to carry them to our room, and he was free of hands, which is very impolite as host. Breakfast is extremely expensive in relation to quality. Breakfast-room is overstaffed which increases costs unnecessarily. Tour operators in the lobby should be available at 8:00 am, however till over 9:00 am nobody was actually sitting there, reception not helpful to get the person who should be there and had been there because a backpack was put on the tours reception chair. So no service for more than one hour.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I like the hotel being located near all types of food options. The staff are friendly and polite. The food is superb! I appreciate them providing you with a list of activities during your stay and the casino often plays good music on the weekends at night
Okay 5.4
Pros: Staff friendly
Cons: Lack of cleanliness!
Excellent 9.4
Pros: The staff at the hotel was wonderful
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre 3.7
Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean.
Cons: Room service was not worth it, overprices and food was not its best. Taxi services to airport and anywhere else were overpriced. They all had a fixed rate when dealing with tourists. Wi-Fi was only free in the lobby/ pool area. I would suggest going to a hotel/ resort where they offer free breakfast at least.

Good 7.0
Pros: Customer service
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Right on a terrific Caribbean beach, pretty good food in the Sunset Cafe, close to a variety of other restaurants, reasonable prices.
Cons: Reception area was in need of an update. Front desk staff could be friendlier.
Okay 5.0
Pros: the maintenance lady and the front desk staff was wonderful .improvement need to be done in the property itself the person responsible to show the room to the guest was no where to be front the lady at the front had to do it herself to please us which was appreciated
Cons: The property could make the effort to give water or special treats for a return guest. I spend my honeymoon there like 5 years return for my 5 anniversary no special treat like champagne strawberry or chocolate was provided. The management staff need to do something with the money I'm paying they should be able to please a return guest
Good 7.9
Pros: The view while eating
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Large room with all normal anemities. Good wifi reception in room. Attached restaurant very good, there are more eateries within 10min walk. Nice beach with lots of loungers and shade. Staff very friendly. We requested a quiet room and this was abt 150m walk from the reception/restaurant and adjacent "strip" (the bar zone) .
Cons: none
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Over priced and jaded. There are better places to visit.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location, right on the beach at frigate Bay, close to food & nightlife. The strip is literally stumbling distance from this hotel. Ideal if you came to eat, swim & drink/dance the night away
Cons: Rooms are a little outdated but everything is still clean & nice. Plenty of stairs if you're on an upper level so be ready to walk!I

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great views. Very quiet
Good 6.7
Cons: No service by the pool, felt like a ghost town. Restaurant bar was closed in the afternoon and bartender took nap in the living room instead of helping us. It was odd.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing staff.
Okay 5.8
Pros: The room was extremely well appointed and lived up to all the expectations we had from the hotel's website and the Kuoni brochure which had first attracted us to Mount Nevis Hotel. The décor was tasteful and the maid service excellent. There were stunning views from the room's balcony and the swimming pool which was well maintained although the loungers were beginning to show their age. The grounds were a joy to behold with many interesting types of flora.
Cons: The restaurant. Kuoni invite you to "delve into a world of flavours at the hotel's al fresco Bella Vista Restaurant, with fresh produce and seafood". Unfortunately when we arrived the restaurant had become the "Happinezz Restaurant", a third rate, overpriced curry house with appalling service and no concept of international cuisine. On arrival we were told that we had only booked a continental breakfast which turned out to be two slices of toast, a muffin and coffee or tea. After discussion it was agreed that we had booked a full breakfast and the restaurant managed to produce a fruit bowl and bacon, sausage and eggs. My wife is a coeliac and the hotel had promised that gluten free bread would be available. When we arrived there was none and after a day a home made bread which had the consistency of bird seed was provided. Despite several promises that proper gluten free bread, which was available in supermarkets, would be provided it never materialised. Unlike the maids who were beautifully turned out in uniform there was no dress code in the restaurant which in our two week's stay was never properly cleaned. Table laying up was a lottery and the waiting staff had to be continually prompted to provide serviettes and condiments. After our first meal which was a mediocre curry we decided to hire a car so that we could eat elsewhere, an irritating extra cost and inconvenience. For the majority of the day the restaurant which includes the bar and public rooms was closed and no facilities were available for guests sitting by the pool. The owner, who lives in Canada, was visiting during our stay as is aware of the awful mess that the hotel has got into because sub-contracting the catering, which was meant to solve previous difficulties, has not worked.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Mount Nevis hotel is set in a beautiful location with fantastic views. The grounds are very well kept up with a lovely pool area, gardens, lawns overlooking the sea. The hotel reception desk staff was very helpful-- they arranged shuttles for us to the beach (Oualie or Nesbit) multiple times; arranged a water taxi and land taxi to get us to the airport too. We were originally placed in a twin room, and we wanted a queen, so they prompted upgraded us. Great service and very friendly people!
Cons: The service at the restaurant (breakfast is included and you take your breakfast there) was awful- truthfully the worst table service I've ever experienced. We ate breakfast 7 days in a row and ordered the same thing more or less (coffee, water, eggs, pancakes) yet each and every day we had to ask for very basic items like napkins, milk and sugar for the coffee, butter for toast, water. These things should have been on the table before we ever sat down!

Cons: Location, pool and food, security was helpful
Good 7.0
Pros: The grounds, the help, some restaurants
Cons: The bed needs replacement, toilet needs fixing-runs, trim needs paint.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Great location in frigate bay - most staff were friendly . Loved the gardens , although it was 1/2 way through our stay til the grass was cut and the ocean access was nice
Cons: I paid for an upgrade and had a view of solar panels when I asked to have this issue fixed I was told maybe try to tomorrow and was told that the solar panel view was no big deal
Good 7.0
Pros: The LOCATION was great. Close to many restaurants, beach and other facilities
Cons: The photos online were much nicer than the hotel itself. The hotel seemed to be a bit run down.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Proximity to grocery store; swimming pools on the property.
Cons: Beach was not easily accessible and the currents were so strong that swimming was not recommended.

Pros: This property is overdue for a refurb... the building, gardens and beach are NOT like the photos on their advertising boards. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere decent.
Cons: It was untidy, lots of sunloungers were broken. Whole place in need of more than a lick of paint.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: This is a laid back relaxing place on a beautiful beach. The restaurant on site served great food. Our little cottage was literally steps from the beach and Smokey, the resident cat, made us feel right at home. The family that owns the resort is very eco-conscious and made their guests feel very welcome.
Cons: On the menu at the restaurant...if it says an entrée includes a choice of specified side dishes, I was surprised to be charged an extra amount for choosing one of those sides.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: not much
Cons: The hotel is in desperate need of updating. Everything in the hotel is old and worn out and needs replacing. The hotel owner, was sitting at the bar every night totally oblivious of the shambolic state of the place around him. The room was dirty and the shower was rubbish, with the fixed head spraying out sideways instead of downwards. The hotel is several miles from anywhere, so really we had to eat in the hotel restaurant, which was very poor. the main meal was ok, but starters was only a choice of salad or soup of the day. The menu stated there was a choice of various desserts. NO THERE WAS NOT. We stayed 3 nights and the only dessert was dry chocolate brownie, for which they did not have any ice cream or cream. The bar area is very untidy and dirty, with not enough seating. Nobody from the hotel tidied up the the sun beds at the end of the day, and overall the beach area was scruffy. There are only 2 old worn out parasols on the entire beach to take shelter from the sun, and like the rest of the hotel they should have been replaced 10 years ago,.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beach - shallow/clear waters, lots of loungers and sometimes you even get monkeys/goats/sheep/donkeys/cows joining you on the sand. Bar - always something going on, the family who own the place are often around and there's always good stories being told at the bar.
Cons: Tiny issue - hard to predict when the cleaners would come to the room and a number of times they took the towels for cleaning but didn't replace straight away and you'd return from the beach with no towels.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I love all the wild animals that appear everyday. I had a front row seat on my porch to the monkey's antics everyday. I laughed at the randomness of the 3 donkey's running past on the beach at sunset & then seeing a group in the parking lot at night when coming back. The goat noises are adorable & there was a mom with 2 babies. The hummingbird visited the flowers in front of my porch in the morning. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room is so pretty with the canopy bed & multi level floor. We were missing the steps by the bed in the picture which would've made it easier to get up & down the high bed. Good location for the property & parking is easy. Lunch stops at a certain hour so we only had a choice of burgers which is a shame. Another guest gave us 1 of her fish tacos which was delicious. We didn't realize the menu changed everyday which is nice. We were always out all day so didn't eat any other meals except the first lunch. Easy checkin & checkout. (The golf cart noise is a little annoying)
Cons: The hammocks both have a giant hole in the middle so you just fall through, they're not usable which is disappointing; replace them, fix them or take them down. I wish there were more stone paths around the property so when it rains you don't have to walk in the grass & get wet shoes/feet. It would make it easier to roll luggage as well. The safe in the room was broken.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location - right on the beach. Food in the restaurant excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
