Ease of entry- ground floor. Very close to rail and tram services.
Kitchen facilities were extremely minimal. Bathroom was crummy. Shower tiny and hand held only.
Comfortable bed and good location. Our check in experience was very easy - pick up the key with the code provided and return in a wee box.
Not great pressure or temperature in the shower.
This was a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable, clean toilet, clean sheets. I definitely recommend this place!
We liked the room, hostel was clean,, area was nice. There was lovely coffee shop just across hostel, tram line nearby... Loved the place and would recommend it for short trip, specially if first time in Berlin.
Confusing when need to find safe box, but after few minutes we luckily find it.
Instead of a reception desk, they provide very detailed instructions and you pick up the key in a safe when you arrive. Which is awesome if you are an introvert and/or arrive late in the night. The hostel is basically a converted apartment, so there is a nice full kitchen, a common area and only a few rooms. Our room was nice, with a large comfy bed.
Ground floor, and the windows in the room we were in look out to the street -- so we weren't fully comfortable leaving the window open for the night.
This hostel in the popular Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin offers self-catering rooms. The famous Alexanderplatz square is 15 minutes away by city rail. The non-smoking Central Hostel Berlin lies in a quiet side street. The Greifswalder Straße city rail station and tram stop is just a 5-minute walk away. All of the rooms at the Central Berlin feature modern décor and cable TV. Facilities at the Central include a shared lounge with a fully equipped common kitchen that can be used by all guests. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the lounge. A wide range of cafés, shops, and supermarkets are located near the Central Hostel Berlin. Attractions in the area include the lively Kollwitzplatz square, only about 2 km away.
