we found this hotel good value for money. The room we had was excellent. The main reception staff not very friendly although polite. It was ideal for our needs. We would stay there again but not at the full tariff price, Good location but does need a little referb to be classed a 3*** all in all would stay there again but only if there was an offer on at the time.
Stayed for 3 nights and had booked a singlke room, was actually given a double room. As many previews already stated, this hotel is in a very good location, close to railway station, East Cliff and the City Centre. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean with a big bathroom, the breakfast was excellent. Overall very good value for money.
Please be aware that not all rooms have showers, some of them seems to have onl bath tubs. Should be easy to fit showerheads as the connections are there.
Matt & Thom were so friendly and helpful, made me feel very at home
Having to leave!
The breakfast was definitely the best we have ever had from a hotel served fresh and hot. the staff were very helpful and friendly.
No complaints at all
We were delighted with the hotel, it had a lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and welcoming. The peace was lovely.
Having been walking for the day and being given the option of a bath or shower, we opted for the bath, unfortunately the hot water ran out before the bath was in any way full and had run cold, not a happy experience but would not stop us using or recommending the hotel.
the friendly staff and warm welcome, the excellent breakfast and the fabulous deep bath so much better than the normal small showers you normally get in hotels
the shortness of my stay
Good breakfast and pleasant staff
The hotel is tired and the restaurant hours are completely inflexible. i.e. one has to eat when the bus parties do at 6.30pm, although the dining room is open until 8pm
the bedroom was spacious, staff were friendly.
The bathroom was tiny compared to the size of the bedroom, the breakfast was poor quality for the cost.
Lack of interference but helpful when required
We had to stay in two different rooms, first room's shower didnt work & the room had never been dusted before, not good for asthma sufferers, the second rooms bed was ancient & very dented, once again i dont think they ever dust either!!!
