Buis, the place, the hotel, the breakfast. We couldn't stay to enjoy the pool.
We arrived late in the evening, and got in nicely. In the morning the usual sunny ample breakfast. Perfect.
Paul at reception made the stay fantastic as did Laurence the chef
Beautiful location. Helpful reception.
Nothing really. I think the hotel is probably very different in the season but it was fine for our purposes.
Room size was nice and comfortable. Size of bathroom was nice and so was the shower, but the shower comes without a shower curtain. We didn't eat at the restaurant because we would leave early and return late, touring the lavender fields and other areas. Stairs were used to get to our room on the first level. We really appreciated the air conditioner. Temperatures were hot in the area. Often, there is a limit on how cool you can set the AC, which we typically find not cool enough, and at first we thought it may be the same at this location, but we were extremely happy that we were able to cool our room at a very low level for our comfort. We had a balcony which overlooked the outside dining area. From the balcony, we could enjoy the sound of the nearby stream and the singing cicadas. There was a swimming pool on the property which looked inviting, but we forgot to bring swim wear. We were happy to have free and safe parking. There was a nice feeling of a somewhat secluded area, yet close to the village center, but a bit of time to drive to and from the areas that we wanted to tour. This accommodation and the village seemed to be a popular area based upon the number of people we saw, we are guessing it is quite a draw for nature lovers. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for our stay.
Since the purpose of our trip was primarily to tour the lavender fields near Sault. Had I known more about the location and area, I probably would have booked a closer location. When looking at maps, distances looked short, but because of the roads and villages and Mount, driving times were often more than we expected. This no way reflects on the accommodation, but on my lack of familiarity of the area when making the booking.
Good breakfast. Bed comfortable. Nice atmosphere. Lovely clean pool.
Having to carry up the luggage in staircase to 2nd floor
