Room was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything we needed and very charming too. The included breakfast was delicious and yummy cookies were offered every evening.
Sofa bed was small and not super comfy, but sofa beds usually aren’t.
They served a great breakfast
The room was small and was in need of updated carpet
This is a quaint, lovely, rejuvenating place to stay when checking out Harvard and other Boston colleges. The breakfast was particularly wonderful -- either "continental" (homemade granola/yogurt/pastries) or hot (varied -- french toast and sausage, etc.), and you can choose when you want it ready (7:30, 8:30, 9:30). Free coffee in the room, cookies and coffee/tea in the lobby. The decorations are lovely -- coordinating pillows and floor patterns and wall paper. The room had a microwave/plates etc for takeout, lovely bath products. It had 2 air conditioners which were loud, but we travel with earplugs. The inn is in a quiet neighborhood, right off Mass Ave, a block from the bus that goes straight up to Tufts, easily walkable to the Harvard tours, and close to the metro. We did uber from the airport because it was night, but had fun learning how to use public transportation, as it is SO easy there.
Not a criticism but a comment -- would have been nice to have two separate beds (shared a queen).
The bed, the decor and the breakfasts were all wonderful and the staff were so nice. I would recommend this inn to anyone traveling to Cambridge or Boston, the porter square tube station is only a few minutes away. Great break.
Very good location. Clean room. Nice terrace.
A little noisy (noise from the adjacent rooms).
With a stay at Mary Prentiss Inn in Cambridge (Agassiz), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Semitic Museum and Harvard Square. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
