Excellent 10.0
Pros: How was the location must be a joke lol. Resting between these two pitons, sugar beach has some of the most marvelous views you’ll ever experience. Not to mention that the service is impeccable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The nature aspect of it. I felt I was lost in paradise
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent food, view and amenities.
Cons: Staff was somewhat disorganized in responding to our requests. It often took 2-3 calls to get staff to send ice to the room or confirm our covid testing so we could return to the US.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was the best meal of the day. They could use more simpler food choices for lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed the sushi bar. Nicest staff I’ve ever experienced at any resort. They couldn’t do enough for me.
Cons: Limited food choices at lunch and dinner. Would have liked some simpler fare.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff went above and beyond!
Cons: It sometimes took a while at the ‘rush hours’ around dinner and breakfast to get shuttles
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The beachfront bungalow was one of the most spectacular rooms we've ever stayed in! Everything from the lighting, to the beachfront access to the heated pool was beautiful! Our butlers were so helpful and attentive, they really added to the experience! Offsite excursions didn't open up until our second to last day on the island but our room was so relaxing and luxe that it wasn't really a big deal. I recommend this room to any expecting mothers looking to visit the resort. We were within walking distance from everything but the gym.
Cons: Limited dining choices due to Covid (French influenced cuisine at the restaurants on the property). Also, menus had limited choices which wasn't pregnancy cravings friendly. We had plans of eating at other restaurants/resorts but were unable to because of the hotel not encouraging mingling with other guests off the property.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing staff. Delicious meals. Excellent location between the pitons
Cons: Food prices are off the chart.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly staff, fantastic food, great views and overall a great experience.
Cons: More information on excursions and what is available would have been helpful. No room service advertised but apparently possible, the same with private dining. Some of the preparations for the excursions were poorly managed and were waiting for food/drink however the excursions overall were great. In short, provide guests with more information when they arrive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything else was awesome, great service, food, the pool, the views. The lux room was beautiful.
Cons: The prices of drinks and food, pretty expensive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Hotel Chocolat is high on a hill with gorgeous views and cool mountain breezes. Besides the gorgeous grounds, what puts Chocolat over the edge is it's staff. They truly care about your experience. I have traveled the world, and Hotel Chocolat is top ten for feeling safe and cared for. They go above and beyond... to wit, I got very sunburnt on a boat trip. They chopped up and prepped an aloe plant, which saved me. Just one example of the detail and attention to care and comfort of their guests. They will keep you safe, comfortable and relaxed. It is a little nirvana in these hard times. *ADDED AFTER READING OTHER REVIEWS: WIFI IS FINE. IT'S AN OPEN NETWORK, SO BEWARE OF FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS, BUT IT WORKED WELL EVERYWHERE I WAS AT ON THE ESTATE. THIS MAY HAVE BEEN FIXED IN RECENT HISTORY.
Cons: Personal to me, as I have a bad leg... but there are a bunch of stairs. Unavoidable, but a bit of a climb. Also, no AC. I didn't have trouble, as the rooms are very open and breezy... but it is a consideration.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. The staff was exceptional. Really, over and beyond. Always smiling, always helpful, and seemed very genuine. Connel was excellent from check-in, thru out the remainder of the stay. Perlicia, Alpha, Yohancie everyone. Just fantastic. The views. The views. THE VIEWS. You can't beat seeing Petit Piton from your balcony. Or the views from the restaurant and pool. Absolutely incredible and breathtaking. You can see both Gros and Petit Piton. Being on a working Cocoa Farm was amazing. We did the bean to bar experience (must do), where you make your own chocolate bar from scratch! The food was amazing! Expensive, but the entire island is expensive honestly. I at least felt like it was worth it. Definitely recommend getting one of the Luxe Lodges if you can. It's worth the extra money. The balcony is great. This place is great if you want a quiet, romantic, relaxing stay. Luxurious, sleek, modern feel too.
Cons: I liked everything honestly. There are some things to know though, just so you're aware. -no TV. But that's on purpose! Time to unplug. We brought our laptop and watched movies at night! -its a very open room, so there will be bugs. But the openness of the room is one of the draws. You feel like you're sleeping in a rain forest. But there is a net around the bed and they do an excellent job at keeping them away.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything stood out to me. The food was delicious and very well made. Not to forget, room service was superb!
Cons: I LOVE HOTEL CHOCOLAT
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The most incredible views of the Pitons and wonderful service throughout our stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Rabot. It was supposed to be our honeymoon but Covid meant we weren’t able to get married. The staff at Rabot still made sure we had an excellent time. Everything from the view from our lodge to the delicious food and the treatment from the staff was spectacular.
Cons: The pool was quite small. It would be good if an alternative bigger pool is added in the future as well as a jacuzzi.
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Best shower ever! Great view from room. Infinity pool was amazing. Great friendly staff. Top notch food. They have 2 boats for guests.
Cons: WiFi reception wasn't very good in the Luxe rooms. They don't sell their own chocolate :(

Pros: Eco friendly, nice surroundings , friendly staff.
Cons: Dining services were extremely slow, slower than other Caribbean destination. Although staff were friendly, it took a very long time to bring the food orders to the table.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location
Cons: The bugs

Pros: View.
Cons: We were eaten alive. Bring a lot of bug spray.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: With everything that is happening in the world, my fiancé and I were looking for a place that we could travel without risking our health and where we would be able to relax and spend a pleasant time. When I found Ladera Resort on booking.com, my mind immediately traveled to that place where the images reflected peace and serenity. Since we stepped into Ladera and were greeted by Caroline and Yvette, we immediately felt like we were in paradise. Every corner of Ladera Resort was designed to make guests feel peaceful and calm. From our Hill Top-private, but open-air four walls room, with a beautiful plunge swimming pool to the restaurant, to the gym, with a view of the Pitons Mountains, our stay in Ladera transported us to that place of sanctuary that we were looking for. However, what makes Ladera Resort so special is not just its views and unique rustic wood design, it is the staff who work there. It should be noted that St. Lucia is one of the countries with the fewest cases of COVID since its protocols are followed to a tee; therefore, despite this critical situation that we are going through globally, the staff ensures that you feel as if you’re home. Yvette, Caroline, and Melissa in reception were more than cordial to us and respond to the guests’ requests and concerns with maximum patience, delicacy, and professionalism, to the point they upgraded us to the Paradise Ridge room to accommodate us even more (without additional charges.) At breakfast, we were always greeted with a huge smile by Lee, Cynthia, and all the staff, and at dinner… there are just no words that can explain the good treatment provided by Leah and the amazing staff. There was not one night where Leah did not make us feel like guests of honor. Even with their masks on and following the protocols, the personnel at Ladera greets you with a huge smile and show interest in their guests. Thank you all, for such a beautiful and unforgettable experience!
Cons: Through no fault of their own, our options were limited for activities, as guests are not allowed to leave the resort due to COVID.
Good 7.0
Pros: Beautiful location.
Cons: Staff was fairly rude or at most fake friendly. Overpriced.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful gardens, plants and lily ponds, breathtaking views, woodland walks leading to stunning views of the Pitons, attractive, slightly quirky, interiors, studio with hot plunge pool and bed in the eaves with amazing views and visiting hummingbirds and finches; friendly staff, excellent breakfasts with choice of fresh exotic juices like tamarind, grapefruit, star fruit and sour orange, shuttle to very pretty white sand Sugar Beach, close to vibrant little town of Soufrière with good choice of restaurants, bars, live bands. We particularly enjoyed the Hummingbird Restaurant and Hotel Chocolat, which is a 5 minute walk from Ladera.
Cons: Service at dinner could be slow on occasion, swimming pool was a tad chilly, chairs in studio not very comfortable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The exciting beauty of the views, the plunge pool in our open air suite, the knowledgeable and friendly staff members—best resort ever, literally. Food fine, and option of Hotel Chocolat just across street. But really happy we stayed at Ladera instead—friendlier, even better rooms and views
Cons: Not inexpensive but totally worth it.

Pros: We spent the first night of our honeymoon last week with Ladera and it was amazing. The views can't be beat. You can't go to St. Lucia and not experience the views from Ladera first hand.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: This property was absolutely breathtaking. The views were unrivaled. The staff was so nice and personable. The property boosted every amenity you could possible need. The Major Domo (Butler) was so attentive. This property is definitely geared toward couples. Such an amazing opportunity to reconnect and celebrate Love. This property was worth every single coin. The property looks exactly like the photos.
Cons: Absolutely no complaints about this property. Only thing I would have wanted was a floating breakfast to dine in the pool. Side note: a bumpy ride to reach the top of the mountain to get to the property. 1hr drive from airport (UVF).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely beautiful
Cons: Nothing we loved everything about it
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful, really. The view of the Pitons from our room was unbelievable. Truly a magical experience. The architecture is unlike anything else. Staff extremely friendly and personable.
Cons: Very expensive and tipping expected so bring lots of $20s. Also, you'd better be in shape because everything you do will involve a lot of stairs. They provide shuttle but it's often a long wait. Additionally, not really a family place, better for couples. Finally, understand that if you book the sanctuary rooms you will have no pool and there is no pool on site. We made that mistake but they helped us to a paid upgrade upon learning my error.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The entire concept.Major domos deliver outstanding service.Housekeeping is very special.Food and drink is local, simply perfect attention to detail from main content to garnish.
Cons: Early morning noise from other rooms, cleaning and communication-could be structural.Too much noise ,too early.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The view- food- room
Cons: It could of been mentioned that you walk up and down hills a lot! Also for the inexperienced the hike up gros piton is “strenuous”- also could be mentioned.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was the vacation dreams are made of; nothing short of perfection.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The breakfast was delightful, with a large selection of food and drink options and a menu that changed every day. Food was local and promoted St Lucian culture. Ask for the coco tea! Yum Take time to walk to the top of the estate along the structured paths. Its well worth a trip and there's a great Piton viewing point. The pool areas are very tastefully furnished with relax and read areas. Very peaceful. The shower in the cottage is superb.
Cons: Guest needs are very well served and catered for and there was not much I didn't like. In fact I liked everything.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The privacy of the cottages and the amazing lush landscape
Cons: The use of cling film on the room service dishes when they refer to themselves as an ‘eco’ resort
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our trip was obviously during the time of COVID restrictions so there were limitations. We were only able to eat at a few surrounding restaurants. There still was daily shuttle transport to a nearby beach at the base of Petit Piton. Sugar beach was closed to guests unless you were staying at their resort. The food at Fond Doux was so amazing we were happy eating there 3x a day. Breakfast is included. Like anywhere on the island, it can take 1 hr for breakfast. The staff at Fond Doux was absolutely amazing. We were so happy with our drivers and servers at the restaurant. Having local grown fruit from the resort was great. Not to mention, they have an AMAZING hiking path that has splendid views of the Petit Piton. Only took us about 40 min to hike up and down (we move quick). So so happy with our stay. Very clean, peaceful, and pleasant. Will be back!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Relaxing stay at an amazing place in a dense tropical plantation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They handled really great to challenging covid times and spotty information from government on what is permitted and what is not. We got upgraded given the few guests, which was absolutely a nice gesture. Thanks again!! Breakfasts were good, I especially liked the local specialty fruit, soursop. Some commenters complained of bugs, and insect, which was not an issue at all. The place is just gorgeous. Transferred to the malgretoute beach daily which on lucky days has amazing underwater vistas for snorkelling. On one occasion, I could hear a nearby humpback as a once-in-a-lifetime experience under the water (seriously. It popped up just few hundred meters away to prove my point after I got out of the water and tried to convince my wife that I had heard a whale and its not the beers and the sun :))). Did some sea excursions (land excursions were not permitted) - check with reception desk or look around on the internet (Mystic man is highly recommended, while some water-taxists offered "sea tours" on their coracle perhaps not so much). Had it not been covid, we would have hired a car for sure to explore more the beautiful island. Transportation was surprisingly pricey (a cab from JFK to manhattan is on par if not less). Thanks Fond Doux!
Cons: Some confusion on the 3rd party tour prices, which fluctuated vastly every-time we asked - seemed to be the function of the day, the weather, the current receptionist, the moon phase and the tide. Now, perhaps not all toursist is willing to take the trouble, but the internet, minimal language barrier and skype-out makes it easier to inquire/validate prices.. But anyways, this did not change the overall great impression of hospitality of the Fond Doux staff.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The entire resort is in the rainforest and the staff are all amazing. They go above and beyond for their guests!
Cons: The property could be updated a bit and offer some more amenities.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Spending the holidays at Fond Doux was an excellent decision. I arrived as a guest & left feeling like a family member & long time friend. The property is beautiful, clean & well maintained. Tropical fruit, foliage, flowers & hummingbirds could be seen everywhere. The cottages were cosy & the in room massage was lovely. Eventhough I was quarantined, I didn't feel trapped. Lynton & Eroline Lamontagne, (the owners/hosts) were present, plesant & very hospitable. I enjoyed our lengthy conversations at breakfast & appreciate them making time to chat whenever our paths crossed on the property. The amazing staff at Fond Doux was very accommodating & made my stay memorable. I had to switch from one cottage to another, due to technical difficulties beyond the property's control. All of my issues/concerns were immediately addressed/rectified. I appreciate the efforts of the team to make the seemless transition. Javanna was professional, always checking in & making sure everything was good. Shyne was another very professional staff member. Always helpful, smiling, willing to go above & beyond the call of duty while answering my many questions. Shyne was knowledgeable about the plantation & provided lots of information on the tour. His attention to detail left quite an impression. Chef Chris created culinary masterpieces that satisfied my refined palate & left me looking forward to my next meal. I appreciate the efforts he made to address my dietary needs. The added personal touch of having the Chef stop by my table to make sure I was satisfied with my meals was a bonus. Other noteworthy staff members were Jenny, Clinton, Lecia, Alex, Thomas & Marsha. I am definitely looking forward to returning in the near future.
Good 7.0
Pros: Staff, including driver, and dinner
Cons: Pool and room could be cleaner. Fans should have settings, only had turbo or off.

Pros: The ambiance of the hotel was a magical getaway for our 4-night minimoon. We loved the two beaches and how welcoming the staff were. The beach huts that you sit under created the perfect oasis to shield you from the sun. Immaculate grounds and the views of the Pitons are breath taking.
Cons: Most of the guest rooms do not have AC. While we love the "open air breeze" concept, it simply does not create a cool room. We were sweating every night going to bed which is not pleasant. The ceiling fan does little. I hope the hotel invests in putting AC in each room because it's needed. The meal plan was more expensive than other Caribbean resorts and we felt like we overpaid. The food was delicious at the beach restaurant but the Tree House restaurant didn't meet expectations. Most of the dishes had too many competing flavors. The Indian restaurant is fantastic and we ended up eating there every other night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location, amazing view of the Pitons, close to beach.. rooms were great..very attentive and friendly staff.
Cons: COVID test results didn't come back on time as promised😩
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The best is you get gorgeous mountains and excellent beaches all in one!
Cons: The last days breakfast at Jade Mountain they changed chefs. The baked beans tasted as if it was warmed from a can. The day before it was so authentic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: If I were in the middle of a pandemic, I would want to be stuck at Anse Chastanet Resort. Oh wait, I did! With many restrictions in St Lucia (access to non-hotel beaches or free circulation in towns is not allowed before 14 days of stay as of May 2021), you want your resort you to provide with all that you need. This is one truly gorgeous hotel, with an exceptional location. The quality and niceness of the staff is exceptional (4/guest!). Very cordial reception and thorough public health safety measures in place. We stayed in room 7E, a Hillside Premium Room, with two fully open walls on one of the most amazing view imaginable (see pictures). Large closets, a wraparound balcony, overlooking Anse Chastanet and the Pitons. Little coffee nook with a refrigerator by the balcony. Spacious bathroom, with a huge walk-in shower. Kingsize bed, with a mosquito net and a fan (no AC in the room obviously). The staff uses mosquito repellent incense every night, but the netting is essential. Several restaurant options on the resort, and all are really good. I recommend booking the lionfish 5-course dinner with paired wines; it takes place on the beach: perfect for couples (and helps control an invasive species). You can also reserve lunch or dinner at Jade Mountain, which is a nice culinary experience with exceptional views. The breakfast is very good with a buffet option ($30/person altogether). You can hike around the forest on the grounds with a guide (birds!). You have access to two beaches (sandy, but with pebbles in the water and a fast drop). Anse Chastanet has gorgeous reefs on either side (right side is best) which are perfect for snorkeling (gear can be borrowed). Anse Mamin, is accessible by foot in 15min (beware of falling rocks!) from Anse Chastenet and is more scenic.
Cons: Not the resort's fault, but be aware of circulation restrictions: you are a captive (and paying) audience for tours (pricey), and many are not operating (including in the rain forest). There is only one US electrical outlet in the room and it was broken so make sure to bring a type G plug adapter. No pool on the resort.

Pros: The people were so wonderful and the food was great!
Cons: Everything was great!

Good 7.0
Pros: Beautiful view from room.. Infinity pool with spectacular view.
Cons: Staff not always as helpful or friendly as they could be. Not advertised that there is no bar or food beyond afternoon. Costs 20 US dollars to nearest town if you eat out. No shuttle from hotel into town. Room was self catering, so we could buy food and cook, but not aware of this until we got there.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The view of the pitons is extraordinary. Our room was nice with a comfortable bed, air conditioning and large balcony. The breakfast is tasty with good variety. The infinity pool is gorgeous. The grounds are charming.
Cons: The main pool is very dated. The infinity pool is beautiful but it’s part of the owner’s villa and has quite limited hours. The mosquito netting has holes. The location is not walkable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: clean rooms with AC, excellent views, quiet at night.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The view and the landscape
Cons: This place is a DUMP!! Dirty, filthy and smells moldy and wet. I would not keep my pig in this place. The room that is being advertised is the room of the owner and NOT the room that is in the actual. This place is a scam, with false advertisement, The floor in the bedroom is moldy , refrigerator is rusty and the shower head is unbelievably filthy. This place is a pig house with rat droppings.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: View from infinity edge pool amazing. Skip all the view points along the way and just get here. 2 room suite was nice with great view from balcony
Cons: Upper pool looked rough. Poor horses need the burrs cut out of their manes and all the livestock could use an extra meal.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: The view is amazing!!
Cons: Staff - the very very bed staff of the world.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The views were outstanding looking across at the Pitons. The hotel grounds are well maintained and spacious. The location was excellent, Rey peaceful and although up a hill a reasonable distance from Soufriere.
Cons: The main pool was a little murky and offered no shade .
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Loved the big bed and the spacious room with fresh fruits (nice touch!). The property is absolutely gorgeous, and next to a normal pool, there is also an infinity pool from which you have a great view on the Pitons.
Cons: The tv is on at the snack bar across the plantation house, so even when you're inside the room, you still hear the American news. Very annoying as it was quite loud. Also, if you don't have a car, the walk from Soufriere up the hill is a bit challenging as it's steep. The bus won't take you for such a short ride so I recommend taking a taxi.
Good 7.1
Pros: The view from the resort is beyond incredible. Stunning. Infinity pool refreshing. Breakfast well prepared and plentiful. Resort was safe and secure. Staff was very hospitable, friendly, and eager to meet our needs.
Cons: Noisy appliances (In Main house; A/C loud rumbling and screeching on start up, refrigerator shelving collapsed when items placed on rack, refrigerator transformer had loud hum. Cashew suites; could hear ceiling fan in adjacent room). These were minor annoyances that we could adjust to. The WiFi and internet were spotty. We used our cell hot spot to access internet. The poor internet is apparently and island wide issue.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast buffet was really good- even an omelette station. The views from the room balconies were to die for. The infinity pool was amazing with gorgeous views of the pitons. There was a snack/ bar area where beer and alcohol was served in a relaxed atmosphere. The owner joe even invited us for drinks in house and lunch of salt fish. Soufriere downtown was close by with our rental car less than a mile. Hummingbird restaurant was right down the hill with a beach bar close by. We had a fantastic stay.

Pros: The suites are well appointed and equipped with comfy beds. Suitable for impaired mobility as all one one level
Cons: Butler service doesn’t really work as not enough staff. You are well advised to book your cabana and spa appointments before you arrive
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything else has been excellent. Serenity's rooms and pool area are outstanding. Apart from the food mentioned in my dislikes, everything else (room service, buffet, options) have been excellent. Bar staff is awesome, as are butlers at Serenity. Beach area is breathtaking
Cons: Late night menu is not the greatest. Very secluded from sites- everything will be 30-40 min drive away, be forewarned. The restaurant at Serenity was not the greatest either.. the gym is a JOKE

Pros: Privacy and staff

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful beach and pool area with views of the Pitons, snorkeling right off the beach and very friendly staff. Also, excellent chef, hummingbirds in the garden.
Cons: It is right beside the local Soufriere beach so there is loud music playing on the weekends. We would stay during the week next time.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Extraordinary view. Easy access to beach and short taxi rides to Soufriere sights. Staff very kind. Enjoyed delicious breakfast each morning with visiting hummingbirds and bullfinches, overlooking the sea. Had 1 dinner, which was very good also. Our taxi driver arranged by the resort, "the General," was wonderful.
Cons: No comfortable chairs in our room or on veranda. Noise on weekend nights from beach. Impossible to block out pounding bass. TV didn't work.
Good 6.0
Pros: I love the property; beautiful setting, fantastic gardens, all the plants, flowers and trees if St Lucia. The staff as always are excellent (my 4/5 time there). The accommodation is in need of an urgent upgrade.
Cons: The accommodation, requires improvement, bathroom, taps not functioning, fridge not working. I like the improvement to the beach area; a good place for slumming it of an evening, save for the Thursday night Karaoke!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Gorgeous views and great staff, especially Shay
Cons: Room was quite dark, not much natural light
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Food -amazing Staff - friendly & accommodating Location- amazing
Cons: That we were not here longer
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent meals! Staff was great.
Cons: Non working TV in room, no connection
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location on the beach with fantastic view from our balcony very good breakfast. No air con but room kept very cool with ceiling fan and breeze
Cons: Lost WiFi for 2 days and lots of mosquitoes
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was exceptional. Everybody was very nice and looking to help. The view was outstanding. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day.
Cons: I don't really have many complaints. The only problem I had was the bed. It wasn't very comfortable, but it wasn't too bad.

Excellent 8.3
Pros: Big clean rooms right in the centre of town
Cons: Beds were very noisy!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Good value for money, quiet despite location being on a busy street. Not sure why people were complaining about stairs in the previous reviews. Yes, there is a flight of stairs but they’re normal sized.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff were always helpful during our week long stay. The area was very nice and it was usually quiet in the neighborhood. There was an electrical converter already in the room to accommodate my charger. The "Golden spoon" restaurant was yummy. Nice view of the ocean/sunset.
Cons: The wifi was weak or inconsistent. The bathroom needed more lighting. I could not plug in the kettle.
Good 6.0
Pros: Room was clean. Balcony great. View great. Staff very friendly and helpfull
Cons: Many homeless and beggars around and also inside the lobby. Very shabby. And stink of drain in the evening.
Good 7.0
Pros: Great location, great view if you have a seaward facing room.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The Staff was phenomenal when it came to helping out with whatever we needed. Starting from extra towels to guiding with getting to and from the local tourism spots, they helped us with everything.
Cons: I didn't like that hotel didn't have any kitchen accessible to the guests, given the setup of the hotel, having access to a common cooking area would be an perk.
Good 6.8
Pros: The staff are very helpful; the rooms are large and very clean; the ac worked well which was key at this point of my trip; the location was in central Soufriere. I had an overnight on St. Lucia and needed to go from one airport to the other. This was a beautiful part of the island.
Cons: The location means you will be followed by panhandlers, sometime for blocks. The hotel is located on the third floor of a building requiring you to climb stairs to get to the lobby. If you've a lot of luggage this may be difficult. The rooms are a bit rough around the edges but generally ok. The road to get to Soufriere is winding and slow. It was an 1 1/2 hours from the airport in the north and about 1 hour to the airport in the south. The total taxi charge for the two rides was $180 (a bit higher than suggested in guide books).

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Locaton was private and peaceful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The guesthouse met my expectations. We wanted somewhere simple and nice. We got it. The staff was extra nice , all of them.
Okay 4.0
Pros: It was conveniently close to the airport. The bed was firm and comfortable, and the room was clean. Breakfast was good, but we were surprised that we were not offered coffee or tea. The apple juice was nice and the scrambled eggs were good along with fruit. Toast was soggy and plain white bread. The Inn looked to be recently painted, so exterior looked fresh and tidy. We enjoyed having the balcony outside our room with a decent view of the distant ocean and the surroundings. There were a few birds in the neighborhood to entertain us, since we enjoy wildlife. The staff was friendly and helpful, every one of them. They provided reliable transfers to and from the airport.
Cons: The WiFi never worked. The staff indicated they were working to fix it, but never succeeded. The room is very small and basically furnished...not what we would call deluxe as it was described. The TV was tiny, but we did get to enjoy a few shows on it. The shower was just barely warm enough, never got hot, and we did see 2 bugs of some kind (not roaches!) during the night. The Inn is located in a neighborhood that is not very affluent, for example, there’s an unfinished shell of a building next door that is part of the balcony “view.” We would have liked to go for a walk, but there were no sidewalks along the very busy road. The guest house is not close to a restaurant, so a taxi ride would be needed to go to dinner. The restaurant on site is closed.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Helpful staff, good value
Cons: Harsh lighting in room and tv fixed to a very low volume (I couldn't hear much when the AC was on)
Good 6.7
Pros: Great location near airport. Friendly staff.
Cons: Needs better doors to keep mosquitoes out.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Exceptional friendly service and owner - great quality and comfort for the price
Cons: hmm... maybe far from the beach- but this is an ''close-to-the-airport'' location- so that was important

Cons: Room was filthy and in complete disrepair. AC did not work at all. Hot water not working. Shower filled with what appeared to be black mold. Staff entirely unresponsive, just didn't care at all. Screens had many holes so insects continually in the room. Amazingly this was all for their higher category room. Scary to think what the other rooms must be like. We never write reviews, but felt obligated to warn people about this place -- worst hotel we've stayed at anywhere and we travel very frequently and expected nothing more than a reasonably clean room, working AC and a somewhat friendly staff. Positive reviews are why we tried this hotel, and we are beyond puzzled as to how anyone would give them more than one star.
