Small location so pick up and drop off are very easy. Friendly and helpful staff. It is off airport but they will pick you up and drop you off at the terminalCons:
The car could have been cleaned better - streaky windows in particular Because the location is small there is not much to choose from in terms of inventory Hours - the location closes at 5PM and if your flight is late you will miss them and have to go back in the morning10.0 Wonderful

I made the reservation to pick up the car at OGG in Maui. The reservation kicked me over to pick up at the airport in West Maui, without my knowledge. When I discovered this three days before my trip, I tried to call and remedy the situation. No cars were available at OGG, which I understand, due to low inventory. The real clincher was when I told the National office in West Maui that I wouldn’t be able to pick up for an hour later than originally planned, due to now having to take an expensive Uber to get there after landing. They told me I was out of luck since the office closes at 5pm. I was basically screwed. I had to make a new reservation at Avis (last minute) for $800 more, which pretty much ruined my vacation.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
I called several days before our arrival to confirm. I was told your office was only open until 4:30 and we would not be able to pick up a ca, as we were not arriving until 9 pm , I canceled the car, rebooked at a higher rate. Upon arrival I found out your rental desk was open until 10:30pm . It cost us an additional 200.00. I will not be in any hurry to rent from your company again.10.0 Wonderful

Little confusing when booking online. Started with a Westin location, they told me the only office that had a Jeep was the “airport” location, which turned out to be right across the street from my hotel. They did phone the location and let them know I was coming. And, my car was not there, they went and got it and I was on my way10.0 Wonderful

We had to take a taxi there as the place at the Sheraton within walking was sold out. They were very very busy but shantelle did a good job of moving us through quickly and let us return it at the rental place within walking. The key drop.box was easy to find.Cons:

Pros:
My first time in Hawaii and I landed up reserving in the wrong airport. At OGG they told me they would charge me an extra $120 per day to change the reservation. I had to take $100 taxi to get to my car.Cons:
It wasn’t Avis s fault that I erred in the reservation, but they couldn’t care less of my predicament and were very unsympathetic. On principle I will rent from Avis again.3.2 Poor

I was charged an EXTRA day because my inter-island flight was cancelled due to bad weather, but I still returned the car before the 48 hour mark so I should NOT have even been charged one extra penny!! The rep at Avis agreed and said I got screwed but they couldn’t alter the extra charge on my contract and said I’d have to go back in the office and stand in a huge line to get the credit, but then I’d MISS MY FLIGHT! I decided to handle it after I got back home to Maui and I emailed Avis and called them but I got NO response! I’m planning to dispute with my credit card if they don’t credit my visa and resolve this issue!9.6 Wonderful

Cons:
Avis cannot see that I bought insurance through Kayak when I made the reservation, and made me to feel that it was left off somehow by mistake, and that we would therefore have no coverage. We bought insurance from Avis and later found we had coverage through Kayaks provider so it was a waste of money, very unhappy that Avis couldn't see the insurance we had bought.10.0 Wonderful

Overpriced.. my flight in Maui was cancelled,and it was redirected to another airport in Maui. When asked to changed my pick up to the new airport, they charged me with todays’s price. It didn’t matter if I had booked and paid this in advance(which was much lesser). Extra costs like one way fee etc was understandable, changing the daily charges from 40$ per day to 100$ per day is unacceptable.. the car they provided was clean and good but this place is clearly overpriced for emergency changes in schedules.2.0 Poor

We went to Kahului accidentally and reservation was in Lahaina. The agent was able to accomodate our reservation in Kahului.Cons:
The shuttle line from the airport was 1 hr. Long. We waited outside in the heat for another 45 min. on a list just to go inside. Then another 45 min. inside in line to meet an agent. Fortunately, our car was ready, but some folks were waiting another 45 min. For the car to be cleaned. We saw elderly people and pregnant women outside in the heat of mid afternoon. The counter person did very little to help and her attitude was poor as well. The car was supposed to be ready at noon and the paperwork was finished at noon but I was told the car wasn’t ready. I along with other customers had to wait about an hour making us late for a scheduled prepaid tour. Avoid Budget in Maui!Easirent
