The car we were given should not be on the road. The front trye had a deep slash which unfortunately wasn't noted at pick up but came apparent when the tyre light started to come on. When we started driving the car any distance the 'Engine failure' & 'STOP' lights started coming on. A number of other hazard/warning lights also came up intermittently. The car also began vibrating/shuddering. We did contact green motion and did arrange to see a mechanic unfortunately the mechanic never arrived at the garage. we were in a very small town and 3hr away from the green motion drop off. All these issued caused unnecessary stress and made it impossible for us to complete our trip properly. Missing out in a number of key sights/places we had planned to see/do. We managed to get the car back to the drop off location but this wasn't a pleasant drive. We dropped off 2 days early and request a FULL refund.
The price quadrupled when I went to pickup the car added fees for snow tires and chains after site claiming all mandatory fees were included in original price. I canceled the reservation

I rented a car thru Kayak and paid rental fee + additional protection. At the car rental I was told that I need to pay additional money, more than I paid for everything, for a winter equipment!? So, are you telling me that I am renting car in winter period through Kayak without winter tires?!?!? Its like I rent a hotel room without windows... This is by far the worst experience I ever had and probably will never use a Kayak in my life - absolutely poor experience... Hilarious...
