8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was well located for our needs and specious. The host was very friendly, welcoming and generous. The fridge was well stocked with food and drinks. More then B&B.
Cons: The whole place was very clean but very outdated. The place needs a good redecoration and some furniture needs to be replaced. For example the kitchen cupboards had some decorative tape on the edges and that was sticking to your fingers when attempting to open a clapboard. That didn’t feel very hygienic.

Pros: So pleased to have found this place. Loved the location, owners were very helpful, and it was a great place from which to explore, relax and disconnect. Kitchen contained everything you need to prepare/store food, cabin very clean, and the attention to the small details excellent. Would love to return some day soon!

Pros: Great cute cabin, comfortable living space. Great to have a kitchen and to feel like a little home away from home in the forest. Great walks and day trips from this location in the Park.

Pros: You could hear the waterfall from the cabin, so relaxing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Located 25 mins north of Clearwater the cabin is easy to find and ideally located for exploring Wells Grey. Comfy with kitchen and outdoor seating there is also a sofa indoors when it gets cold. Check in/out was easy and the owners are close by and very friendly. Wi-fi is available from the main office nearby and we found the signal worked okay in cabin 3. Lots of information in the cabin on hikes in Wells Grey. Wish we’d planned longer as the park is huge and there is so much to see. In late June we found a a lot of Mosquitos everywhere we went so pack the big spray.

Pros: Amazing cabin in woods, with horses just next to a fence and humming birds flying over your head during breakfast on the patio! Pretty cool, wooden bedroom with comfy bed and very welcoming hosts. It's a really great place to stay!
Cons: Kitchen got a bit crowded with other guests, but still was pretty ok for easy cooking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The animals around (horses, dog, and cat). Coffee and a selection of tea are available for guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This facility is a hostel in the European sense. One large cabin with three separate bedrooms, a common kitchen plus a common area for eating and sitting which contained a large number of books to read and a flat screen TV with cable. Free Wi-Fi was also included. My room was very cozy it had wood planking on the floors walls and ceiling and a gorgeous handmade log bed. The bed was also very comfortable and the facility was extremely clean and well-maintained. Give him the car with nothing on it I did not take advantage of the communal kitchen as I was only there one night but next time I go I will certainly remember to take some food items so I could make breakfast or a late night snack. The owners were extremely friendly and greeted me as I pulled into the yard along with Baxter there 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog Who is a very good greeter in his own right. The property is set in a wooded area just a few minutes from the town of Clearwater on the way to Wells gray Provincial Park. There are horses on the property and a large grassy area bus a nice patio to sit on. All in all a very nice place to stay I would stay there again myself and would certainly recommend it do anyone looking for a non full service Hotel. In my opinion this was much better than the hotel because it felt like home.
Cons: I like everything just the way it was no complaints whatsoever
10.0 Excellent

Cons: We only stayed for one night. Should have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice and cozy guesthouse, which is taken care of very well by Daniella. Its location provides good access to the park and falls, and is still close to the grocery store and good restaurants. We also very much enjoyed the many animals and plenty of space around the guesthouse!

Pros: The animals were so cute and tame.
Cons: The room walls were a little thin.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Very clean and comfy homey feel. Defiantly recommend!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host allowed us to check in a few hours early and that was much appreciated! We were only there for one night as we were in the area for a wedding, so didn’t get much time at the suite but it was very nice and clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Well laid out and spotlessly clean, only stayed one night would have been happy here for many more nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean, very nice people and well organized! No complaints at all. Would love to return here and recommend it very much!
Cons: Would prefer to have blinds that keep out morr the light (morning) in the bedroom as we are light sleepers. But that is very personal and except for that, everything was absolutely perfect!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was warm, comfortable and clean.
Cons: No containers that could be used to cook vegetables in the microwave. I think salt, pepper and oil for cooking should be provided. Better quality towels would have been nice. Could not access Netflix because too many users for the account.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm n clean ,easy to check in n check out.quite!very recommended guest room,I will choose it again when I came next time
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was easy to find, clean, and well set up.
Cons: The only negative thing would be the sound proofing between the units isn’t great... not a major issue.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, a really lovely apartment. It was beautifully furnished and equipped. It had air conditioning plus ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The location was lovely and quiet, a 5 minute walk to Dutch Lake (where the Painted Turtle restaurant was great) and just a short drive from the main shops and restaurants. I can't really comment on the staff as we didn't see them but they let us know how to access the apartment easily.
Cons: To be picky, I would have liked instructions for using the coffee maker. We come from England so aren't used to the coffee makers in Canada and I had to look up the manual online. Also 2 light switches actually turned on the air conditioning so I would have liked those to be labelled as I kept turning them on instead of a light. But those problems are probably just me being stupid!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super Nice and clean accomodation. Friendly host. Toys for our son (almost 2 tears old)

Pros: Perfect place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: During our honeymoon road-trip across Canada we were very pleased to make a two-night stop at the Hummingbird B&B. If you’re reading this review you are most likely looking at places to stay in Clearwater for Wells Gray Provincial Park. Coming off the road Clearwater is clearly a small place but that is no bad thing as it has everything you need for hiking and of course has fantastic access to the park. The Hummingbird B&B is a very relaxed place to say the least and is expertly run by it’s proprietress Doris who is the perfect host and was most pleased to welcome us to her lovely property. Our room was a lovely double with private bathroom and direct access to a lounge sitting area. However the main feature of the property is the lovely verandah frequented by the eponymous hummingbirds the B&B is named after framed by Doris’s well tended garden it is a must for anyone who has come off a long road-trip or an extensive hike through the provincial park. In addition to all the above Doris is most happy to give recommendations for local restaurants and sights to see over a home prepared breakfast as part of the room-rate.
Cons: Can you be too relaxed?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hice host and room has everything you need.

Pros: Awesome super chilled place with hummingbirds ❤️
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friend staffs, Excellent Food, Good Coffee. Nice view of the lake, easy assess for facilities. Lodges are well spaced, total privacy. Beyond expectation and Surprise us for such a little known lodge.
Cons: Not easy to find, took the long and dusty way from the south. Should assess from north (via Clear Water no matter you travel from south or north)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very stttactive with nice views
Cons: The lack of amenities/activities within a reasonable distance and lack of functioning WiFi. I had to park outside the office to check emails etc
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable cabin, but could hear conversation of people next door. Dinner in restaurant was great but a must as nothing around for miles, same for breakfast. Lake was lovely and saw our one and only beaver, plus early morning paddle was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning. We came near end of season was quiet which we enjoyed. Walk around lake lovely. Night sky stunning. Meal in restaurant was very tasty. Staff very friendly & helpful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was super. Clean cabin and a lot of space. Everything we needed was there. We saw a small bear with its mother a few hundred meters before the gate. The boats on the lake was fun. And yes, it is a small drive from the town to the resort, but then you are really in the woods.
Cons: If you need to say something, the water pressure of the shower is a bit low.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Lovely wooden cabin. Could go boating on the lake. Quiet and very relaxing.
Cons: The restaurant was not as plush as it probably should have been compared to the rest of the hotel. The evening meal choices were not great for vegetarians.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful, and very secluded but still only a short drive from Clearwater. I was surprised at the number of hummingbirds flying around the restaurant entrance!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location & views. Staff super accommodating and friendly.
Cons: Be aware of the drive up to the accommodation, takes over 30mins up a road which isn’t in great condition.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It’s a beautiful place, for hiking, swimming, kayaking.
Cons: The wifi is hit and miss and there is no cell phone service, so if you need someone to be able to reach you, you might be out of luck. Also it would be nice if they put full sized coffee makers in the rooms. And just an FYI if you don’t want to eat at their expensive mediocre restaurant bring food with you. It’s along way back to to town.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quit place in wonderful nature, falls nearby, nice cabins
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and outlook from our room was fantastic. Being a Cabin, it was quite dark and when we arrived, quite cool. There are heaters in the room and bathroom which warmed the place up quickly. This place is quite far from shops etc so after a long drive, it was great to have a bar and restaurant onsite.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better - warm boiled eggs instead of cold would have gone down a treat. But that’s nit picking.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Note that owners have changed recently - we didn't try the food there but all previous comments can probably be discarded!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort facility is under new management who are working very hard to give visitors a first class experience because apparently the property was in need of tender love and care.
7.0 Good
Pros: Peace and quiet
Cons: Very limited facilities
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The ranch was a real haven at the gateway to the Wells Gray Provincial Park. The rooms were well-sized with a good range of equipment to cook basic meals. The shower was excellent with big fluffy towels to use afterwards. It was lovely to be able to sit out on the terrace to eat meals/ take in the wildlife. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.
Cons: We were in the middle of three cabins and so couldn't park right next to our room but this was not a problem for us. The evening meal was good value for money but was disappointed by frozen vegetables.
6.3 Good
Pros: Log room units were charming and comfortable
Cons: Poor Internet no propane for fireplace the orange juice was off
8.3 Excellent
Cons: A chair or couch in the room for reading would have been nice.
9.3 Excellent

Pros: Room was newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable and amazing view from room. On site restaurant was good and service was friendly.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The humming birds feeding just off the restaurant balcony (End of June), the horses in the paddocks, the peace and quiet and the excellent evening meal in the restaurant (you don't need a starter with the main course portion sizes). The cabins are great, a bit old fashioned but that adds to the special magic of the location. The appearance of a black bear yesterday crown it all for us when we saw it just a little bit up the road towards the Clearwater lake.
Cons: All great.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Paid wifi and paid breakfast were unfortunate.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The setting was beautiful! But.. It was very far from anything. It was a great place if you are looking to go off the grid!
6.8 Good
Pros: If you want to explore Wells Gray park you can't beat the location! The site is also lovely and my room had a great view.
Cons: The room was pretty basic, especially given the hefty (peak season) price. You are paying for the location. Dinner was nice but the breakfast was terrible and expensive. The water (from the taps, the sink, the shower) had a faint rotten-eggs smell the staff told me was sulphur from the well where they get their water. Safe to drink, but certainly unpleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have breakfast
Cons: Sad that we had to leave after one night, due to our schedule.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location to explore ; a different experience and very friendly and helpful staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Good stay, friendly people and great location. In general nice place but way overpriced.
Cons: This place is way overpriced. Room (nr 13) was nice, but not for the money it costs. Food was ok, but still nothing amazing and price was quite high.

Pros: Only good thing was it was extremely clean
Cons: We booked our king room 6 months ago which was confirmed only to be told when we arrived they had double booked and we could only have a queen room and if we didn’t like that, go somewhere else!! The room is advertised as lake, garden and mountain views - the lake is extremely close but you have massive trees in front so there is no view at all. The garden is overgrown needing a good weeding. Rooms very old and tired and bed rock hard. It’s not expensive so ok as long as you don’t expect much!!

6.8 Good
Pros: The quiet location and large room.
Cons: The wifi didn’t work very well... it was extremely slow. The shower made a lot of noise.
7.5 Good
Pros: What a pleasant surprise! The small bungalows have a real character to them. Able to park the car next to the bungalow. Huge/spacious bathroom. (Nearly as big as the main room/bedroom!). Simple and basic. Quiet spot. Room had a fridge, coffee machine, flat screen tv, and was all we needed for a one night stay. Walked to a nearby pub but it was empty so only stayed a short while. The grill house next door to the bungalows did a better menu and had a bit more atmosphere. Campground reception was also a decent sized store. All staff were friendly. A good stop over as driving from Jasper to Whistler.
Cons: Hard to knock the place as it is what it is. Campground with amenities. Not much atmosphere in the canteen /restaurant but what do you expect?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: High end trailer park
Cons: Trailer park.

Pros: The welcome and efficient check-in. The rooms were decent and the pool was clean.

Pros: Brandnew LG Airco units
Cons: Breakfast not included
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Don't be fooled by the looks of this facility. The room and people were great. The location close to the park and Dutch lake.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really clean. Very nice staff. Coffee machine and coffee. Little wardrobe space for luggage. In previous comments there were complaints about the keys - now there is key cards and they work great.
Cons: Room facing the highway
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and convenient area. It was nice that the hotel had a restaurant.
Cons: It’s an older building so the place was noisy. Neighbors slamming doors and you could hear people walking above you. The bed was very uncomfortable. It’s very outdated but for what you pay for it worked out.
5.5 Okay
Pros: If all you want is a bed and wifi for the night then this is an option. For me I'd have preferred to have spent a little more and had a comfortable stay. Location to the nearby Lakes was good and plenty of parking space.
Cons: Although it is a reasonably cheap place to stay, we were really not very happy with the accommodation. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but made both of us itch which was unpleasant. The room had an old smell which was heavily masked by fragrance in the room. The shower was old and had to go to reception to ask how to work it and was told had to pull very hard to get it to work as it's old. Although the room had air con it was very noisy, only partly drowned out by the noise from the road through the windows.
6.5 Good
Pros: The employees were very nice and pleasant.
Cons: I'm not sure why — if this was a seasonal thing or a Wells Gray Inn thing or what — but we were here in mid-October, when it was just getting very cold, and the place had an infestation of these terrible bugs that looked like crickets but could fly. I first found one in the bathroom and killed it. A little while later I found one in the hotel room, we killed it, and then my brother started looking around and in rapid succession killed 4 more. We added a few more to our total that night and the next morning. My brother said he saw a bunch on the outside of the building the next morning, so whatever it was it wasn't just our room. It's very possible this is just something common in the area and not particular to this hotel, or something seasonal, I'm really not sure. But there it is: we were not pleased.
6.8 Good
Pros: No breakfast included which it should have been for the price we paid
Cons: Service in restaurant was extremely slow We were in a quadruple room and only 2 bath towels were provided and only 2 glasses and cups -if you'recharging for 4, u need to provide for 4
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room is nice: comfortable and very quiet
7.5 Good
Pros: Good restaurant on site serving local fayre. Bar next door both seemed to be used by locals not just hotel guests. Staff lovely.
Cons: It is not picturesque and rather "motel like" but fine for a two night stay to see the area. Car park needed re surfacing and maintenance
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Room was unclean. Staff didn’t even ask how our stay was. The whole hotel smelt of cigarettes. Room was very outdated. This is a motel, not a hotel.
4.3 Okay
Pros: went somewhere else
Cons: the halls and rooms were stinky the toilets where low enough for a child, not to good for people with bad knees, the carpets looked like they hadn't been shampooed and vacuumed in a while
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: A dump that offered a rate that was $30 less per night than online. The website indicated it overlooked the lake which was complete bull. A nice hotel across the road did overlook the lake and was $25 less per night. Next time I will pass on these online "deals" and book direct with the hotel. Lots of vacancies so no worries that there will be no rooms.

Cons: I think the price was exorbitant for the quality of accommodation.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: When I drove away. Expedia agent who assured me in trying to deal with this nightmare.
Cons: Losing $100 because the condition of the room was horrible and having to find alternate accommodations and pay again after a long day of driving. i was not going to stay there with my son. The person who helped us was pushy and agressive and I felt not kind or understanding. The room had clumps of hair on the floor, was smoke smelling and dirty.
