Pros: Beautiful accommodation & kept spotlessly clean. Nice continental breakfast in the lovely quirky shop/cafe.
Cons: Disappointing service in nearby restaurant. Despite booking a table for 8 pm, they didn't seat us until 9 pm and we were the last table to be served. Felt like we were being made to suffer because of the 52%. Have resolved to wear a "it wasn't us" badge next year.
Pros: Croissants were excellent
Cons: No restaurant in the evenings
Pros: The decor and ambiance, exactly as pictures portrayed in photos. Large comfy bed, like a big marshmallow, but not too soft as first expected. Good bedding, sheets and blankets so could adapt to warmth needed rather than a quilt. Good breakfast and great croissants, you can even have Champagne!! Dogs are not a problem they can even make friends with the resident west highland terrier, at breakfast.
Cons: Just found the sisal flooring a little hard on bare feet.
Pros: It is perfectly positioned in a quiet area. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished with lovely en-suite bathrooms. And the buffet breakfast is delicious and good value for money.
Pros: Nice room big beds and a great location. Staff helpful with everything that was needed. Good stop over whilst travelling both south and north.
Cons: Not to clean, carpet was hard under foot.
Pros: We had a wonderful stay in this charming hotel in a lovely village. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was just amazing. They also had a lovely sitting room for the shared use of guests. The staff were super helpful and gave us a recommendation to the local Logis where we had an amazing meal. Our bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very nice in the tea shop downstairs in the main building. We will definitely stay again as it was so nice and also a convenient stop-off on our road trip to the Alps!
Cons: Our room looked over the carpark and we left our windows open overnight as it was so quiet. However, the carpark is open and we were woken a couple of times by local teenagers.
Pros: Quiet tranquil location. Beautifully furnished cabin with REAL character - so pleasantly different from the usual bland rooms. Good private parking in central location of pretty town - the burial place of Charles de Gaul. Good restaurants nearby.
Cons: All good
Pros: Very friendly staff and excellent value for money. Pretty village - will stay again. A few restaurant options nearby too as we arrived late evening.
Pros: Lovely village, great for a short stop enroute to home.
Pros: Lovely room very nicely decorated - very quirky. Nice friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing but we were a little late due to losing an hour from England!!!!

Pros: Breakfast was good, typical French fare. Location was very good,a 10 minute walk into centre ville.
Pros: Large room, good parking and excellent wifi. Close to Town centre and very quiet.
Pros: In a quiet location but close enough to the centre. Room nothing special but adequate.
Cons: Breakfast choice consisted of cheese, fruit and yoghurt, with only one bread roll and one croissant per person, which was put out on the tables before arrival of guests for breakfast.
Cons: Very friendly and a good location for the centre
Pros: Warm reception. Convenient location not far from motorway. At least two excellent restaurants in the town centre. And the hotel has a bar, which is very welcome after a long drive!
Pros: Friendly staff, large clean room. Decent “continental” breakfast.
Pros: Fabulous hotel, run by very friendly people. Lovely clean, spacious room with a fan.
Pros: Room was spacious, modern, ultra-clean, very comfortable with a work desk, charging outlets. Nice little bar downstairs. Hosts very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Location about a 10 minute walk from downtown area though still convenient. 1 km from grocery store.
Pros: Host couple were lovely. We managed with our school French and their school English with warmth and humour.
Cons: Hard to find, but glad we did.
Pros: Very friendly staff/owners? Thoughtfully brought us a fan to our room as it was extremely hot weather. Very clean and comfortable.
Located in Colombey-les-deux-Eglises, Hotel Restaurant La Grange du Relais is within a 15-minute walk of La Boisserie and Memorial Charles de Gaulle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location friendly staff and wonderful restaurant.
Cons: Room could do with air con or a fan.
Pros: A lovely hotel with a great feel to it. Swimming pool a bonus and restaurant on site where we enjoyed a lovely meal. Room clean and very comfortable.
Cons: Room got a little hot and stuffy at night as we had a room with patio doors (no windows or air conditioning) so couldn’t open them at night .
Pros: Cleaniness ...spotless
Cons: Waitress with short hair at dinner time very aggressive, she could have been more polite.
Pros: Great people good service
Pros: Pool, food at restaurant , close to Champagne cave.
Pros: Very poor . A bowl of Rotten Fruit on the buffet table which was cramped and badly laid out . 1 croissant. We have been coming here 4 times a year for over 5years and it is so sad that the high standards have fallen so low . The breakfasts were always a great highlight in a room that was a delight, Dinner was equally awful . The staff were rushed and unfriendly. The steaks we ordered were stone cold and bone dry. We left 70 % of the food . The wine which we have been drinking for all the years we have been coming here was the only thing that kept up the old standards . Very depressing
Cons: See what we did like
Cons: Too near road
Pros: Loved the very ”frenchness” of this lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had a very good buzz even On a Sundays evening. A bonus for us to find an hotel open for dinner on that evening in France. Parking was easy outside at the front of the premises and the room was spacious and equipped with a massive shower room en suite.

Cons: Very little choice for breakfast.
Pros: Good location, comfortable rooms and we always like the funky decor in the Ibis Styles.
Cons: Grumpy/unhelpful staff on arrival did not make us feel welcome. Overcharged for parking compared to price stated on website. Restaurant closed on Sundays and few choices elsewhere. Breakfast choice very limited.
Pros: Fab location on stopover to south of france, central location in town, underground car park(if you can get it), good value family room which was spacious, friendly staff. Oh, we loved the pillows too!

Cons: The corridors are rather smelly.
Pros: Big family room

Pros: Location Cleanliness Space

Pros: Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Home made pastries and spreads at breakfast. Great bathroom.
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Lots ofTV channels but none in English
Pros: We arrived tired after a long drive and booked into the restaurant for dinner - had an exceptional meal with excellent wine - a very good stop over for trip from GB to the Alps - will definitely revisit
Cons: Steep stairs but all part of the quirkiness so best to be on the 1st floor
Pros: lovely lady who ran it who bent over backwards to help. Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning and a very good restaurant with a varied menu.
Cons: no parking but seemed safe in the street
Pros: Very relaxing and friendly
Cons: All gd
Pros: Dinner al fresco in the park just by the hotel with excellent food. Comfortable bed. Small private parking area close to our room. Great bathroom recently renewed.
Pros: good location
Cons: windy stairs so not ideal for carrying bags up to room.
Pros: Nice independent French hotel in 'old' building. Very nice and helpful staff. We had the breakfast which was worth the price. 10 mins walk to the viaduct, if you want to take pics.

With a stay at Hostellerie La Montagne in Colombey-les-deux-Eglises, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of La Boisserie and Memorial Charles de Gaulle. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely room and dinner was perfect
Pros: Friendly service, excellent breakfast, very comfortable room (despite the flies and poor view), good food and service in the restaurant (the Michelin star was why we chose to stay there on our drive back from London to Geneva). Really lovely rolling countryside and a delight to be in Champagne just as the wine harvest began.
Cons: The view from the bedroom was really poor (outlook on to the gravel undercroft beneath the kitchen and the empty wine bottle store); the bathroom looked very nice but the roll-top bath with hand shower and no curtain was not practical. Lots of flies in the room. The tour de champignons menu was not the tour we'd expected (dominated mostly by chanterelles) and the replacement dish for the first course and the dessert were rather disappointing. Discovered a wonderful new champagne in the restaurant (but at more than three times its retail price - we bought some from the cave in Colombe le Sec the next morning).
Cons: There wasn’t any hotel parking.
Pros: Hostellerie La Montagne is a first class restaurant, with beautiful rooms and superb staff, all set in a stunning location. The cost of the room is exceptional value, and the restaurant prices are completely justifiable, but not for the faint hearted. Spending time in the beautiful village and visiting the memorial and museum to General de Gaulle is an added bonus, Using the quiet N19 road between Troyes and Belfort makes this an ideal stop over as a special treat for those driving between the UK and Switzerland.
Cons: The car park is a short walk away, but you can park safely on the road outside.
Pros: Fantastic food
Cons: Noises of restaurant above our room
Pros: Restaurant excellent
Cons: Booking .Com rate was 20 euros more than the hotel rate.
Pros: The dinner was beautifully prepared and delicious. The breakfasts were reasonable but choice of fresh fruit was limited and the orange juice was pasteurised and not freshly squeezed. The dining room was smart and there was an attractive terrace on which to eat and drink in fine weather.
Cons: Our bedroom. It was spacious and had probably been repainted in recent years. But the small bedroom window looked out on a covered area about 20 feet in depth where one could park one's car and only beyond this "garage" area could one catch a glimpse of sunlight and the countryside. Result - a very dark bedroom where it was necessary to use the electric light all the time. The w.c., opening off the bedroom did have a porthole window but the bathroom itself had no window and was equipped with old fitments e.g. a bath with legs and very high sides from which older people would have difficulty in getting out. Drawbacks probably reflected in the relatively modest price of the room.
Pros: The location was excellent, rural in an attractive village. Breakfast was average. The food, wine and service were all excellent. The rooms were comfortable with good sized beds.
Cons: The welcome on arrival was poor. There was a notable lack of a 'mine host' and there were no flowers of any description. Very poor Wi-fi connection.
Pros: After the TGV got cancelled we decided to drive to Paris. It turned out to be further than expected and we had to find a place to stay. We arrived late. The room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and asked if we would like to eat a little in their Michelin star restaurant. It was excellent.

Chaumont Train Station is located 2 km from the hotel and free private parking is available on site. The Basilica of St John the Baptist is 3 km away.
Pros: It was convenient, clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was delicious and there was a hyper dog called Ollie.
Cons: The bathroom area could have been shown a bit of TLC
Pros: Welcoming and friendly staff (and dog)! Good location for access to main roads. Room was clean and tidy. Very nice evening meal, and good breakfast. All round very satisfied.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, could have done with a slightly larger double bed, but a minor quibble.
Pros: Dining room was great and food good.
Cons: It is on a main road.
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean. Bed comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast could have had more variety.
Pros: Basic but clean and comfortable. Suited us for overnight stop. Given large family room.
Pros: Highlights were the staff/owners and fabulous restaurant
Pros: Dinner was fantastic
Cons: Rooms tired
Pros: Nice food
Cons: Staff were very brusk and insisted that we hadn't pre-paid, which we had.
With a stay at Hotel des Dhuits in Colombey-les-deux-Eglises, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of La Boisserie and Memorial Charles de Gaulle. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice place , nice town , nice food, Nice People
Cons: The restaurant was closed. I booked expecting a meal to be available. Breakfast very poor value at €8.70 Room OK but basic and very poor value at €75
Pros: Very good value
Cons: Restaurant was not open
Pros: Really really friendly staff. Makes all the difference after a long drive to be greeted so kindly. Thank you
Cons: It was perfectly fine for the price and rating
Pros: Great location; helpful staff; comfortable/pleasant room; easy walk into town and Charles DeGaulle Memorial
Pros: Convenient. Reasonable restaurant.
Cons: Only window in room was a velox skylight affording no view so rather claustrophobic.
Cons: Small Beds, Very Cold rooms, No heating, no hot water & Staff did not speak English. Nobody was at the reception at late checkin had to call few times to get the door opened :(
Pros: Convenient location and helpful reception. Pleasant restaurant.
Cons: The room was a little ‘tired’
Pros: Nice clean hotel in good setting
Cons: We arrived around 3pm hotel was locked with a notice stating that due to the grape picking season starting, there would be no restaurant (dinner) facilities available to guests. We discovered that over 100 grape pickers were staying and eating in the hotel - hence no facilities for other guests! An advance warning of this would have been nice as we were travelling with a dog and only stay in hotels billed as dog friendly. With notice, we could have made other arrangements. They let us down badly. Bedroom was on the small side on this occasion with only a 3/4 size bed.
With a stay at Grand Hotel Terminus Reine in Chaumont, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of St. John the Baptist Basilica and Chaumont Town Hall. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift). Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: Getting a bit tired. Stayed at this hotel a few years ago. Absolutely nothing has changed. You might be better off in the Ibis Styles just up the road which had better parking facilities. Most importantly, according to my wife...... No hair dryer!
Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly. I loved the quirky decor. Extremely dog friendly. Excellent position in town. Brilliant pizza.
Cons: No hot option for breakfast.
Pros: The hotel itself is in a small town near the station . The interior is eclectic with odd pictures and many trophy taxidermy heads on the walls. I was ok with this but a vegetarian might not be as they are staring down at you at breakfast . Breakfast was good . The best thing was the great friendly staff - especially the young man who had learnt his very good English in Birmingham!!
Cons: Town was quiet but we were only there for the night
Pros: Hotel ran by Father and son, walls adorned with quirky art. Every effort was made to make us comfortable particularly in the dining room. Excellent choices of menus, well priced. Saw a little of the Town and decided we shall definitely return.
Pros: Staff was good. Parking was on site for 7 euro's per day. Subway fast food is part of the hotel. Walking distance +/-5 minutes to town.
Cons: Restaurant is closed on Mondays. Beds are hard, towels are skimpy and TV was dinky (14")
Pros: Town centre was a five minute walk away where there was a selection of bars and restaurants. Very relaxed place.
Cons: The weather was a lot warmer than we expected for the time of year but we had gone for a non comfort room so no air conditioning. Had large windows to front though so plenty of fresh air. If going in summer make sure to book a comfort room with air con.
Pros: Comfy beds and nice view
Cons: Not what I expected different to pictures on website was more antique
Pros: Good accommodation for our needs. Parking available in hotel garage. Unusual decor with a variety of taxidermy.
Cons: Cramped bathroom. Bedroom was basic with no headboards.
Pros: Wacky decor - not vegan friendly because there is loads of taxidermy everywhere.
Cons: The hotel did not honour the booking.com price & told me to book direct in the future... Not worth making a scene about at the hotel but if booking.com & your hotels are to be trusted the advertised price MUST be the price at checkout...
Pros: I really liked the location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was simple but comfortable. The hotel in general was very attractive and inviting. The pizza restaurant downstairs was excellent and the atmosphere very relaxing.
Cons: The restaurant hours were late in the evening, however that is more cultural. We were just hungry and had to wait for it to open.
Pros: Stay in your hotel every time I drive through France.Although I absolutely hatewhat you havew done with the breakfast room .I loved the posters which fitted perfectly unfortunately the stuffed animals are too big andshould be placed in a grand room with high ceilings. The pictures do not go with the circus type colours you have painted it. The animals put me off my breakfast is that the idea
Cons: probably not stay again
Pros: It was easy to find and very adequate for a one night stay.
Cons: Dark corridors, but on the other hand, all for energy conservation
Pros: Easy to find. Good resaurant.
Pros: Very convenient location, useful to have own car park. Comfortable, clean if not exactly elegant. This is the thrid time we have stayed there for an overnight while travelling through France.
Pros: Friendly staff, clean + warm room, nice brekkie, good resto next door, right by train station.
Cons: lack of provision for smokers
Pros: Bedrooms comfortable. Reception staff very helpful and friendly
Cons: We have stayed several times at this hotel. Usually the breakfast is OK but this time quality and standards were definitely slipping
Pros: Pleasant welcoming staff - good dinner in restaurant - good value for money. Just right for a one night stopover, easy to find, good parking. Convenient for LIDL.
Cons: Too far out of town to walk there - nowhere scenic to walk nearby.
Pros: The food in the restaurant in the evening was good, The position on the outskirts of town was also very good for a quick stop off en route with our journey, wished I had found one more in the centre to have a look around.
Cons: The room was over tired, although for the price it was very good.
Pros: Exactly as expected from a 2 star hotel, rooms small, basic but clean. Decent beds and restaurant, Texas Grill, food tex-mex with a french feel....no problem. Extensive free parking.
Cons: Nothing unexpected for a 2 star.
Pros: Helpfull staff, underground parking for our motorbikes.
Cons: Slow service in the restaurant
Pros: Friendly staff at reception. Good breakfast. Clean room. Our dog could stay with us. Excellent value.
Pros: Easy to find , a few miles from motorway
Cons: Convienient but not exotic location
Pros: The rooms are clean, the bathroom is very good, the water was hot, and the bed was comfortable.
Pros: Room clean and comfortable. Excellent Restaurant next door. Superb quality food. The facility of the swimming pool was most welcome.
Cons: Very difficult to find. Rather noisy with busy motorway only a short distance from Hotel even through the night.Breakfast good but had to find own way around no assistance given.
Pros: It was really, really nice to have a steak and Budweiser in a surprisingly authentic Texas-styled restaurant!
Cons: Although our dealings with most of the staff were great, just after 10:00 a.m. on our checkout day we were called by a lady (day manager???) who seemed excited that we hadn't checked out/paid them yet.
At the heart of the Haute-Marne, flanked by forests and streams, hotelF1 Chaumont offers you welcoming stays. A low-cost hotel focusing on quality, convenience, and affordability. We offer two types of rooms, DUO and TRIO, with flatscreen TVs, TNT channel, and free, unlimited WIFI. Kick-start the day with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet!
Pros: Location, cleanliness.
Cons: Too hot, no fans or air con, loud, no pillow or duvet covers... very uncomfortable.
Cons: although i booked a triple room via booking.com when i arrived after a days travelling i was given a double room with no apology. i had to get my camping airbed from my car and make my own 3rd bed up which only just fit in the room!
Pros: Very nice that wall decoration!
Pros: The rooms were basic but clean and nicely prepared for us. I was very happy that there was a porter on reception when we arrived at 01.15!
Cons: I would have preferred to have a toilet and shower en-suite to my room. Although the rooms were very clean the corridors and stairs were a bit dirty
Cons: We booked at the last minute as our origin hotel booking fell through. We didn’t realise that the rooms did not have a private toilet or shower until we arrived. It was cheap but not having private facilities was pretty awful. Hotel very noisy with selfish people shouting and running up and down the corridors after midnight. Whilst it helped us out of a tight spot, I would definitely NOT stay here again.
Pros: The breakfast is ok and you can help yourself to more coffee etc. Been here before and the rooms have now been improved. Looks more cheerful at least. Price has gone up of course!
Cons: No hot water in the room and was not informed by the staff until I mentioned it in the morning. Seems everybody had none! Some noisy people as usual who have no consideration for others trying to sleep. They always seem to be from Romania or Bulgaria!
Cons: I paid for a room with private shower. Though the warm water boiler was broken. Apparently the staff was aware of this but didn't inform me.
Pros: The toilet had toilet paper in it, when I came, and in the showering area, the floor tilted away from the drain, so the water level just rose in the bathroom :-)
