De Lutte is a brilliant area to stay. There is so much to do and to see for young and old. Best is to rent bikes to get around. Or nice walks.
The breakfast was very poor; limietd choice and very very smal portions. When asked they did re-stock, but the habbit of having to ask every time: can you pls...? And then for 17,50 Euro per head extra. It was warm that day, and there seemed to be no ventilation in the breakfast room. Also, we had masses of dead bugs on the wall in our room, and also here the ventiliation didn't work. For a garden suite there was very little garden to admire (pebbles and tiles as we were on the first floor). The warm water didn't work when we wanted to shower after our swim. and the shower head in the bath leeked water from all sides, apart from where you would expect it. Rest was OK
we had an excellent stay, rooms food and service were excellent
The hotel staff were superb; kind, professional and any question was answered quickly and efficiently. The room at the rate we were given was excellent, but the bathroom could have been a little more up-to-date considering the room was a Luxury Room and not a Standard Room.
The room was on the ground floor and with a very small terrace; however, on closer inspection all the rooms on the ground floor appeared to have a terrace, but with absolutely no privacy, i.e. when anyone sat on the terrace your immediate neighbours were sitting side by side giving the impression of a rather grand holiday camp and not really in keeping with the description of the hotel as being luxury. As my husband and I went for a week's holiday for rest and recreation we did not really want to have every other guest joining in our conversations! The rooms were not very well insulated. There was no alternative to the formal restaurant for dinner.
