Overview

Under the wide desert skies of southern New Mexico, the Best Western Deming Southwest Inn opens onto the Chihuahuan Desert and the easygoing character of Deming, New Mexico, just off Interstate 10. Rockhound State Park sits a short drive away, one of the few parks anywhere that lets visitors carry home the agates and quartz they find. In town, the Deming Luna Mimbres Museum fills an old armory with regional history, the Deming Arts Center showcases local work, and the quirky Deming Duck Races bring the whole town out each summer. Nearby tasting rooms pour the wines of New Mexico's growing desert vineyards. Convenient drive-up rooms make coming and going simple, and a complimentary full breakfast with regional flavors opens the day. A seasonal outdoor pool offers relief from the desert sun, free high-speed Wi-Fi keeps you connected, and the hotel welcomes pets. Far out where the desert runs to the horizon, Deming rewards travelers who slow down for it.
