Had a continental breakfast. Room lovely and clean, excellent shower, lots cupboard space to hang clothes.
Nothing to report
Very nice staff, lovely room
The hotel had no record of my booking which caused considerable confusion and I was concerned I would be charged twice. This did not happen and the staff were very accommodating about it. Odd investment in digital record for car parking for small town hotel but emails not working. Understaffed at bar for large event
Clean and comfy room.
Upon arrival, i was charged £50 on the spot for my room because apparently the national hotel no longer wants to work with booking.com I paid it out of desperation to ensure i had somewhere to stay after my staff party but im now looking into either taking legal action or writing to the press. I have been charged twice for a room. I think i paid £33 on this site and definitely another £50 directly to the hotel. Absolutely disgusting service. The bartender, who has only worked there for a couple of weeks appologised saying that he has NEVER worked in a place that operates like the national hotel in Dingwall. On my way to the room, he also added in the kicker that breakfast is not included in the price. Finally, the hotels car park is littered with signs advising that residents must check in at the restaurant for a permit within 10 minutes of arrival. A nice way for the hotel to extort even more money from the suckers that book a stay there.
Lack of staff, room cold, total lack of atmosphere, no hairdryer. Note on locked hotel door asks you to ring the bell and a member of staff would let you in, Despite ringing there was absolutely no response. I called at the bar adjacent to the hotel and it transpires the barman was doubling up as the receptionist. why no note on the door?
